I'll give some background: I play on a 49" TCL 5 series 4K TV. I tested out games such as Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, Rise of the Tomb Raider, NHL 19, Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 5, The Witcher 3, and DOOM. Just some calibration tips for the TCL 5 TV; Picture: Brighter, Normal (or Vivid)/Advanced settings: Brightness up about 5 points, Contrast down about 5 points, Color up about 5 points, and sharpness set to 0./ Micro Contrast set to High. Now that that's all out of the way, I can say that initially the Xbox One X underwhelmed me. I then re-calibrated my TV and was pretty happy. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks nearly as good as the newly released Resident Evil 2 (remake), yet it came out 2 years ago. Gears of War 4 looks the most visually stunning out of them all. Forza Horizon 4 looks pretty ridiculously good. NHL 19 only looks slightly better. The Witcher 3 looks better and better in 4K the more you play it (beautiful work of art of a game, for real). I'm in the Blood and Wine area and it all looks great. DOOM at 60 FPS looks the best to me. The higher frame rate makes the visuals just excellent. I think if they can get the next systems to 4K @ 60 FPS, then it's going to be a gaming transformation. DOOM already accomplishes this--pretty amazing. I admit I'm not sure that it's worth the $400 to $500 (I paid $400) in terms of the visual difference, but if you calculate that a 4K graphics card for a PC is around $1,000 to $1,200 then there's not really much I can say. I'm getting a $1,000 value for only $400. For that reason, I've given it 5/5, There is a noticable difference with the only thing holding it back is my TV. I'm looking to get a Vizio P or Sony X900F down the line.

These are the best and the price was great at $400, regularly at $500. Can't beat it even had extra stuff. Now I rated this a 4 because this is my second xbox and that is because I had a hardware issue with my last one which basically ruined my xbox. It is a known issue and can't really be fixed by you. So definitely buy from best buy! Get that 2 year geek squad protection, it saves you everytime! I also recommend a good mic with these wireless mics I've used are the turtle beach stealth 700 and the astro a50, mics are not the greatest on wireless options so find whats best for you. Little for waring the astro mics sound muffled for other people in xbox party chat. A50 are the only ones I recommend, you can change some settings to minimize the muffled sound but not eliminate it. The stealth 700 have a weak mic and it is hard for people to hear you but they donly sound clear. Now to wired I've really only used turtle beach for wired headsets including the elite pro (version 1), the xo 4, etc. The elite pro was expensive and made cheap, but boasts a very good sound all around. The XO 4 was amazing and durable, it is still working for me and I would be using it if not for the wear of old age. That is just some of my experience, if you're new or used to xbox I don't know if this will help but I hope it does!

Well after owning a ps4 and a switch/Wii u, I initially was anti Microsoft in the beginning of this console generation because of their anti consumer practices such as DRM, Always online and a forced Kinect peripheral etc.. Since then MS has slowly reversed from that but the damage had Already been done. A couple years later their E3 conference 2016 they announced an xbox one x that was going to be a powerful console with 4k capabilities with games and movies. I was interested in it but not at the 499 price point. So I waited 2 and half years for a price drop and it finally happened at 399.99. So I broke down and bought one and will use it for4k blu ray movies the most and games here and there that take advantage of the 4k capabilities. Plus I'm a system collector. I suggest if you buy one, wait till another big price drop and grab one.

I am a Playstation lover but, I had to buy the Xbox One S 2TB when it came out. I have a Playstation Pro and the Xbox S. I just bought the Xbox One X just to see how much better it is compared to my other consoles. I have a 2018 4K HDR TV with Dolby Vision and etc so I can see what these consoles can really do. I've played Far Cry 5 and Tomb Raider on the Xbox one X. They are both Xbox One X Enhanced games. You can see more detail within the games (also on Netflix, Amazon, etc). In games you can see further through the landscape with sharper images. Downloading games is faster than the Xbox One S. The picture is maybe 10-20% better than the Playstation Pro depending on what you're playing or watching. Of course it all depends on what kind of TV you have. If you are someone who just enjoys playing games, watching TV and etc, I would buy a Xbox One S. If you enjoy the best graphics and are a true gamer, either go for the Xbox One X, PS4 Pro or wait until the next line of consoles come out.

Never been much of a gamer, well at least since I was kid playing mario bro's on nintendo. Used to play some PC games years ago. Had a friend give me a PS2 and I played a couple games on that, also bought a Wii and played that a bit. Never really fell into any games and felt like I couldn't wait to play... well then in comes the xbox one x. I ended up buying this with my main plan to build a race sim rig... all I can say is I've become addicted, not just the racing games, but with FPS stuff too... The immersion, quality, speed, graphics, everything is just incredible. Only 1 thing I can say negative, is the load time on games, sitting waiting 2-3 minutes for Forza to load is a drag.. but there is an easy (but requires a few more $) fix.. get yourself a SSD drive and a usb3 case for it (I used a EVO860 500gb and inatec case), move your most played games to the ssd drive, and boom.. load times decrease drastically. Thats enuf typing, time to go play some games.

I'm an old guy that still loves gaming. Been playing video games since pong came out in the 70's. I've had many different systems over the years but none compares to the one x. I had a one s and decided to upgrade. Glad I did. Games like RDR 2 and ACO look amazing on my 65 inch Samsung qled. The 4k blu ray is a big plus also. Even my son in law said RDR 2 looked better on the x than his ps4 pro. Got this for 399 with Fallout 76. Sold my one s for a good price. The upgrade was well worth it to me. Don't get me wrong I liked the one s, but if your on the fence about getting this or upgrading I highly recommend the x. I've bought Microsoft products since the mid nineties, and will continue to do so. Thanks Microsoft for a great product like the Xbox One X.

I was late to the current gen console gaming since I am a PC gamer. The xbox one x is a fantastic game system, fairly intuitive web UI and some nice subscriptions you can use. It performs great with games that can use the extra power of the xbox one x if you turn on said feature in supported games. The controller is lovely although I did previously use for PC gaming. The only complaint I have is lack of better HDR gaming support and dolby vision support with certain TVs. This was a major selling point for me but I failed to do greater research to find only select manufacturers are supported via for HDR10 gaming and Dolby Vision. With that I do not use the xbox for movies that support dolby vision. There is some note Microsoft is working to resolve but it's been a good amount of time.

My 4K UHD Blu-ray player was starting to go bad, so I figure, why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone? I'm glad I picked this Xbox One X instead of just another stand alone 4K player again! I had an Xbox One S a few years ago, but sold it because of financial reasons. I do remember the visuals and the extra power the X has, really makes a huge difference in pretty much everything. I would recommend this to anyone looking at getting a 4K player! There is one current drawback though. Only certain LG and Sony TVs allow Dolby Vision to work through the Xbox One X and only for streaming. No Dolby Vision disc support. This isn't a huge deal because most 4K Blu-rays only utilize HDR10, while streaming services like iTunes and Vudu use Dolby Vision.

    Excellent Console for 4K Gaming

While the included game has its own drama, this review will focus on the console as this is technically, a Microsoft product and Bethesda's Fallout 76 is another story. The Xbox One X performs considerably better for gaming compared to the other Xbox One consoles in the lineup. If you just want decent Xbox One performance and UHD Blu Ray player, stick to the Xbox One S. If you want to enjoy 4K games in all of their glory, definitely spring for the Xbox One X. My only other advice is to research which free game you want with your console. The controller in this kit is also better than the generation of controllers prior. The button function is the same, but the molding of the grip feels better.

Look where else can you get a UHD blue ray player and gaming system with a game for 399 bucks? I’m not even going to go in to how amazing the games look because if you just want to play games and care about graphics you’d be buying a PC. For console gaming at 399 bucks this is a must have. I own the PS4 pro and this thing is noticeably better. And to top it off has the UHD blue ray player that the Pro does not. Bottom line: if you own a 4K high definition tv. Buy this system and use the game pass free month. Download the Forza game FOR FREE and you’ll be glad you got this system. I’m a Sony fan and PlayStation can’t touch this machine right now.

IMO PS4 PRO VS XBOX ONE X

I have both, but the XBOX takes the prize home. The PRO sounds like a heavy weight fighter out of breath while the ONE X is hardly breathing (noisy). The XBOX UI IMO is much more fluid than the PRO. The XBOX controller feels good in your hands and the button layout is far superior to the PRO controller. The only drawback to the Xbox is the light on the top of the controller is not suitable for playing in a dark room. It’s like someone turning their cell phone on in a dark theater. I brought the PRO for the exclusive, but I’m not that impressed with them. The Xbox is my go to console, and I have own just about them all over the years. Sorry Sony, but you come in second this time around.

I purchased the Xbox one x last month and like two days after the 30 day return policy expired. The Xbox kept on freezing on me. where I had to go in and manually shut off the power. Plus the controller kept losing signal. Bestbuy was great and took care of me and gave me a brand new Xbox. And everything seemed to work fine with my other controller. expect when I went to use the new controller it kept losing signal just like the first one. I’m very disappointed because I have had all the Xbox consoles and loved them. So I figured why not upgrade to the fastest console out there well this is a great big letdown talk about quality control.

I have not owned an XBOX since the 360. I bought this one a couple of days ago, because it has the "true 4k" picture. The picture is amazing. I have only played Forza on it and it is very responsive. I like the GUI. I wish the controller was the same size as the PS4 controller. I also wish the the controller was rechargeable. Why do we have to buy rechargeable battery packs separately? Come on MicroShaft!! FYI - Make sure you set this system up with some spare time on your hands. Don't expect to play a game within a few minutes. You have to download system updates and game updates before you can actually play a game.

System looks great on my TV, which is top of the line. I sold my S to get this and it’s totally worth it. Not so much if you don’t have a great TV but there is a huge difference between the X and S as well as the X and my Switch. Switch looks great but this next level. Still miss out on exclusives from other platforms but the competition between systems is what keeps the games good. BUT, fallout 76 is a waste, no one plays it, so the discount you get buying this package is basically nullified. I would have rather bought a different package but they were more expensive. Thus the 4 instead of 5

I bought this combo to upgrade from the A.C bundle Xbox one, and let me tell ya there is nothing faster than the One X. As for the Fallout 76 game that came with it, we'll It is a download game, and it's not on a disc. I shouldve watched the reviews on Fallout 76 before making this buy, cause from what I've heard 76 is not that great, and it has too many problems as of now.. so those people who want 76, who don't care and just want it mainly for the system then I would say great. But this is the only reason why I give this combo a 4 star..

I purchased the bundle with the Fallout game — I had my reservations at first due to the price and I used to game when I had a 360, so wasn’t sure if I’d be getting the full experience; but I’ve gotten back into gaming hard and it’s any main media hub. It’s beautiful picture. And to top it off 6 months free interest with the Best Buy card - can’t beat that! Bought this when it was on sale for 100 dollars less than MSRP. The Xbox one X is a nice system to use, especially when you have a 4K tv as your display. It not only plays games, but it’s also a nice media streaming center with Netflix, Hulu, hbo, YouTube, etc. And if you want to have that smart home experience, this Xbox can also sync with amazon Alexa; asking Alexa to turn the Xbox on or off. That’s a bit over the top but it’s nice to know that the feature exists. Overall, I recommend it WHEN the price is on sale

After skipping a couple of generations I decided to get this version of the Xbox because there were exclusive titles that I wanted to play. I got the 1TB so I wouldn’t have to worry about storage space, it was not 1TB only 750gb was usable with nothing downloaded. My biggest complaint was that every game has to be completely installed taking up more space/time and the updates are ridiculously large. You have to do this to play every game. I’m down to 428gb with only 3 games installed. Very disappointed with Microsoft.

      Hey there,

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Xbox One X. While installing games can take up storage space, the upshot is that the overall game experience is better with faster load times and steadier frame rates than if the games were being played off a game disc. If you discover that you're running out of space for games and apps, one option is to invest in an external hard drive for additional storage space.

For those that are wondering, I bought the X to replace my One and the graphics difference from UHD to 4k aren't that dramatic. Yes I can tell a slight difference but nothing that should have people jumping to spend $500 worth. It does process faster and runs smother. Overall I just needed a update from having my Xbox for 4 years. The design is just a tad sleeker and the power button isn't touch sensitive. Also a big deal for some, it no longer has a Kinect port for older Kinects.
