At first I thought it was a bit pricey, and yes in comparison it is. If you are on a budget maybe spend less than $220. I bought it because I needed the WiFi capability as well as the amount of USB ports I’d get in the back of my case. I also needed the BIOS Flash button on this board, because I bought a Ryzen 5600X and do not own any previous AM4 Processors. So I wanted to make sure my CPU worked with the board by updating the BIOS. I believe you don’t need the button, I hear there is a sort of “limp mode” just to get the PC to boot then you can flash the BIOS from the actual BIOS screen, and all MSI boards should have that capability. I just wanted to be sure so I bought this fancier MB. They do have some added features but for normal use you probably won’t notice or care. Putting everything on the MB was straightforward, no complications. The design, I feel, is much much better than previous iterations of the carbon. Of which I haven’t owned any but I know what they look like. There’s no huge gimmicky Gaming letters on it no tear jerking crazy designs like with other motherboards out there, it’s really pretty with how subtle it is and just keeps it looking suave. The BIOS screen was easy to navigate and looks nice, can change the theme too if you don’t like the red. Mystic Lighting RGB is nice as well. Stronger PCIe slots to accommodate for the heavier graphics cards nowadays. Overall I am very happy with how it is. The upper left side of the board is not chunky like a lot of board manufacturers like to make them, probably because this isn’t some flagship board, but it leaves room at the top for the PSU cables to power the board to remain invisible, I can fit my big sleeved cable right between the big metal bits.

Great motherboard with high grade material. Easy to work in, and i love the extra usb slots. Great motherboard and sutied my needs perfectly.

I bought this and returned it the second it came in. Only because i did not want to wait for it so i bought the same one somewhere else. This thing is a beast. Tons of features and can handle speed really well. I know people prefer the 570 but this is no slouch.

So far love it. Had it installed and its been great. I had the a320mk which was junk before and compared to that feels 100 times better. It was little expensive but was worth it so far

I chose this motherboard because I was upgrading to the Ryzen 7 3700x and I needed WiFi capabilities. This board is perfect match for the cpu. I had zero issues moving over my existing hardware and the board recognized everything on the first attempt. It’s a little pricey compared to the other boards out there, but this board is worth it to me. The IO shield is preinstalled and the heatsinks are great. Also, I did not have to update the bios out of the box to accept the new cpu. 1 month down and hopefully many years to go.

Nice motherboard I like it very much. I have 2 problems with this. First there is no rgb control for my amd rgb fan. Second bestbuy took them 2 weeks to deliver when amazon only takes 2 days and it’s the same price. It also came a little bit damaged

This has basically everything you can want, but be sure of compatibility. MSI lighting software has caused me many issues as almost everything else in my pc is Corsair. I should have checked before purchasing as this does not have the same pin for some of the lighting as well.

Love the motherboard. RGB is nice and the quality seems good. My only complaint is that my 1st mobo was defective. The priority RAM slot wasn’t reading my sticks and I was receiving post codes (and yes I checked to make sure it wasn’t the actual RAM itself). So I exchanged the defective one for a new one.

This motherboard is heavier than I expected. When I received the product the box was heavier than other motherboards I am used to purchasing. I splurged a little on this board but it was well worth the extra money. The board looks great, and including WiFi on board is a plus for me. The RGB looks fine, I choose to disable all lights in my build though. Overclocking a R7 3700 XT with no issues so far. Enabling XMP on my RAM was a breeze in bios and no crashes on my PC so far. I am glad newer motherboards no longer require the user to manually install the I/O shield and cut their fingers on the metal.

I love this board. It's very high grade material and feels like a beast, can't tell you how great it is at running stuff because I still have no gpu for this board but it does put character into my pc build, now it's just time to get a gpu.

Works, sleek, and of course rgb, has everything you would need in a b550 and more.

This motherboard came with a later bios update that immediately recognized the 5800x, big plus. still needed a bios flash update to be current. Installing fresh windows on this to a nvme was a 3 day nightmare because the bios doesnt initially recognize an nvme as a boot drive it boot priority. Make sure the nvme is the only harrdrive plugged into the motherboard or windows will install files across all harddrives. Nvme also need to be converted to gpt, using command prompt when you are in the windows install, and have bios set to uefi in advance settings. This will save you a major headache. Once i got passed the hiccups, this motherboard preforms very well.

Rather easy instal worked with my ryzen 5 3600. Not too much rgb might want to get a fan or two if you like a fair amount of lighting.. but mob rgb a good indicator of seeing if it's getting power.

Love the motherboard so far! Just keep in mind if going with a gen 5 and ryzen cpu you will need to update the bios! Plenty of videos online that will walk you through.

Motherboard with everything you need at a great price. The only thing is that it needs to be updated for the ryzen 5000 series.

Solid built Motherboard with easy BIOS management for over clocking, flashing bios, and ease of use. The MSI software that is optional to download is solid as well to manage RGB and performance boosts.
