I got this laptop, because I wanted to be able to do some casual gaming. Really just Sims and WoW. It has definitely met that need. Ut also works great for work and school, and friends have told me that the audio/video quality for video calling has improved drastically over my last laptop. The only issues I’ve had are that the battery drains quickly and the computer heats up a lot when running games. These are easily solved by plugging the laptop in while gaming and using a cheap cooling pad. Overall I still find it a great purchase for the price. In reviews, I had read that the screen wasn’t very bright, even on its highest setting, but I haven’t found that to be true at all. So, it’s exceeded my expectations and serves my needs well.

Performance: It was good, BeamNG Drive did struggle a little bit, running on 60 FPS with RTX, and 4k off. Minecraft was easy to run. The battery lasted up to 1.5 hours running BeamNG Drive. Fans were on the loud side, so just raise the volume. Usage: It was decent for working on google docs, simple video editing, and small streaming. Good for gaming beginners or small business platforms. Size: It was about 17.6 inches wide, so I had a medium bag. Specs: Has RTX 3050, 8GB of RAM (I added more ram, has 2 slots!) 512GB SSD, and Intel i5. Keyboard: It was fairly good, didn’t have to press hard, the keyboard didn’t bend down as much. I used my Logitech G502 mouse! Overall:For my first ever gaming equipment, it was really good. I think having this $700+ gaming laptop is worth it for small, new people, with the 8 GB RAM, and GeForce RTX 3050, it rocked. The 512 GB SSD was perfect for small games. The 15.6 inch screen was perfect to fit in medium bags/backpacks. The weight was a little issue, but still fit perfectly. The Wi-Fi range was kind of bad, as I had to be right next to my router. The opening of the box was decent, had a nice sticker, and some foam between the keyboard. I replaced it with the MSI Titan with RTX 4090 and 128 RAM. (And I’m still new at gaming computers).

Great Laptop for Work and Gaming

The laptop works great, both for gaming and everyday work tasks. It’s very quiet and runs games at speed with few hiccups or issues. I enjoy the design, which is very ergonomic and sensible. The only problem is the battery life, which is about 4 hours when using multiple internet tabs and 2 hours when gaming, so it’s not exceptionally portable.

It is a very good and hefty laptop, it has very good performance and sustains itself during long gaming sessions, battery life could use some work and fans could use work

I was skeptical about this laptop but the reviews were better than most gaming pcs that were more expensive so i went for it and at the price it was on it was a no brainer. Once i started using it i knew i made the right choice. The only issue i have with it is how loud the "sword" fan gets. Other than that i love this laptop.

This is my first time buying a MSI leptop, and is my last time as well. The first unit I received suffered from random freeze/reboot during light loads (e.g. web browsing) or idling. I had checked with windows event viewer to confirm random reboots in the early morning. I requested a replacement. I was happy about it until I found a crack below the trackpad. At first I thought it was just assembly flaw, so I tried to apply some force to close it. And then, it bounced back. It felt very much like the battery bulged and cracked it open. I never purchased a single laptop in my life that required any replacement, not even once. No mention at least 2 replacements is required in this case to get something that works stably and will not explode. I'm done with MSI.

This is a great looking and quality laptop. If you are not a gamer, the specs are pretty perfect as is. I upgraded the machine to 24gb and 1TB ssd for less than $200. I’m so happy with my purchase and highly recommend this laptop

I bought this because it says there is 1 m.2 slot and 1 2.5Inch slot with the m.2 slot being populated and the 2.5 inch slot expandable. I bought a 2.5Inch ssd only to find out that they literally did not install the Serial Advanced Technology Attachment to the motherboard.. See attached photos. I cannot get answers anywhere. I contacted Best Buy and was basically given a sales pitch on buying support even though I was sold this laptop with a missing port and contacted MSI only to be told the laptop comes with one M.2 installed. "Obviously.. But I want the expansion slot for the 2.5Inch ssd that was suppsoed to come with it! They literally just did not install the port to the board even though there is solder points AND an attachment slot for the sata drive connector ON THE BOARD with a slot to install the 2.5inch drive itself!!!

Beautiful... Just plain beautiful. I love the shape of the shell and the colors, the back lit blue light is amazing and especially shows in the dark. Usually been using this laptop just to stream, play league or maybe some call of duty and it plays it nicely. League ofcourse on Ultra high settings and runs it super smooth with out lag or frame drop Call of duty on medium settings (4GB VRAM) is pretty much the con of this laptop only. i5 Processor 12gen is pretty neat super fast on a 4.2GHZ 8 GB Of Ram is decent for the time being recently added another 8GB STICK. Which btw was REALLY easy and you can notice the difference on speed. SSD 512. Now its a small storage which isn't so bad i guess. Wish it was 1TB instead, but it can be fixed with adding another memory, or even using a external hardrive. Screen 15.6 Iches is actually just perfect. 144HZ Display is amazing no doubt 3050 Graphics card with 4GB Vram Works well, tbh you dont need a huge GC to play games the 300 series works really well still. I do wish the battery was a lot better.

Its pretty solid the frames stay from 80-130 on some guys on high settings low about 130 to 160 but the only problem about this pc is the fan. It sounds like a jet in some cases but the fan when playing games only is alright but when multiple things are on the fans go crazy if you dont care about fan noise this is your laptop. Also i recommend adding ram

Performance: Pretty good gaming laptop. For its price it’s definitely worth it, I give it 4 starts because it would have more RAM, BUT again, for the price it is pretty good. Just buy more RAM and install it, you should be able to run many good games, I game Apex Legends at 110FPS, Fortnite at 180FPS, Fallout 4 at 100FPS. Extra: The fans are a bit loud but that doesn’t really bother me at all. Battery does drain pretty QUICK, so be sure to game while charging it. It gets a bit hot so I don’t recommend to play games with the laptop in your lap.

I have had no problems with this laptop after owning it for a couple of weeks or so. I purchased it for the purpose of school work and additionally gaming every now and then. It works perfect for school work. It works decent for gaming. I mostly play call of duty games and have tried it on this laptop and the only complaint I have is the screen being a lower quality so you may expereince what is known as “ghosting” when playing in higher frame rates. This to me is a minor gripe, however for others it may be a deal breaker. As far as gameplay, I haven’t noticed any big issues yet besides that. I recommend low to medium settings when playing games that require high GPU requirements. Just adjust accordingly and check performance. Additionally, I upgraded my RAM by installing a 16 GB DDR 4 and now have a total of 24GB. The laptop runs smooth while executing daily tasks like using Microsft Office Apps, checking email, browsing the web, watching videos etc… if you’re on a budget I highly recommend it!

Great for what it is, a 3050 isnt going to break into 1440p or even 60fps in all AAA titles at high settings. But that should be understood. Good if you play Starcraft and watch youtubes of Starcraft, which is what I used it for.

I don't know a whole lot about gaming but my son loves to play games on the computer. I purchased this because it was affordable but was worried that it wasn't going to be fast enough for the games he wanted to play (which he couldn't play on our old laptop). He says there are a few things that lag a little but mostly he can do everything he wanted to. He does get frustrated with the battery life though. I'm not sure if it's because he spent the first few months with it plugged in all the time or if it's the games he's playing but he often plays for a couple hours and has to plug back in.
