    Signing up for Best Buy’s yearly membership was one of the best decisions I’ve made when it comes to shopping for electronics, appliances, and pretty much everything tech-related. At first, I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the cost, but after a few months of using it, I can honestly say it’s already paid for itself several times over. The biggest perk for me has been the free shipping and faster delivery. I order a lot online—whether it’s new gadgets, accessories, or even just essentials like chargers—and not having to worry about shipping fees adds up quickly.     Love my GE Refrigerator-Great Customer Service

    I was pleased with my purchase. James and Mickey, who delivered my refrigerator, were so helpful and thorough. They were early and called to let me know they were on their way. They also made sure that the refrigerator did not get scratched. James informed me how long it would take to get cold. I am very pleased that these two guys helped me. I have had other experiences where the delivery people did not know how to put my items together, and there was a language barrier that prevented me from explaining what was wrong. I was very pleased with my purchase. James and Mickey, who delivered my refrigerator, were incredibly helpful and thorough. They arrived early and called to let me know they were on their way. They made sure that the refrigerator didn't get scratched during the delivery. James also informed me how long it would take for the refrigerator to cool down. I’m really glad that these two guys assisted me. I have had other experiences where the delivery people were not knowledgeable about assembling my items, and there was a language barrier that made it difficult to explain what was wrong.

    This membership has its pros and cons

    I had this membership for a year and bought many things with it, but most of the sales were not exclusive to the membership and I did not save that much money because of it. I was able to price adjust and return items within an extended period of 60 days which did help, but this period should be extended to 6 months with the membership. I did get $10 credit once every two months to spend with the membership. One instance I did not like was when Best Buy sales representatives were lying to customers, claiming that if they purchased or already had the Best Buy plus membership, they would get early access to pre order nvidia 50 series graphics cards. This did not happen and many people were upset with this and refunded their memberships.

    It is ok, but staff is not well informed about it, just to sell it they provide some information. We got a ‘welcome gift’ with plus membership related to a canvas bag printed by Shutterfly, I was very exited to get it, it was impossible , never got the email with code, after several attempts following instructions. So, we went ahead to store at the Fountains -like it says to do so- and asked for help… NON of staff members new anything about membership plus at all, easily they wrote me a phone number to deal with, I though ‘NO Thank You, I will rather buy a canvas bag on my own without this hassle, so I dropped the idea of the free canvas bag, it was disappointing, I think there’s nothing good to offer something to others and not honor the word. Better not to offer anything. I just hope we don’t get to need one of the ‘help’ payed in the membership for something really important.

    A Total Screw Up

    I purchased my Plus membership a couple days prior to making a major appliance purchase at the suggestion of the representative that helped me later make my purchase. Of the washer and dryer combo set, the washer was defective, despite running it through the Quick Cycle by the Geek Squad installation crew. Called to arrange a replacement and was told that my purchase was not made as a Plus Member. The computer had a bogus account w an email that I never had. Tried to straighten the issue out w the representative who became belligerent and rude informing me I was “NOT A PLUS MEMBER”! I wasted over an hour and half waiting for that representative to finally take my call and then get into an argument over my membership. I was verbally providing from the email I received from best buy confirming my membership! It took 3 days w two more calls to Best Buy, to finally get this mess straightened out!!! Very Angry and annoyed that it took several hours on the phone w Best Buy. In the end, everything turned out okay and the defective washer was replaced. Plus Membership is probably worth the cost but there was absolutely no excuse for Best Buy to have such a major account computer screw up since I’ve had my account for over 15 years! My time is money and I deserve compensation for this inexcusable situation!

    Membership Paid for on First Purchase - No Brainer

    Whenever I am asked to pay to get savings I have to stop and look carefully at what I'm being offered. Most of the time I'm someplace I'll never come back to and I want the discount on my one purchase, most likely because I will never return to that store. But this is Best Buy, and let's face it, I'm going to end up dropping money here more often than I probably should. For 50 dollars a year, the Best Buy Plus membership is not a bad deal. It was paid for out of my first purchase of a MacBook where I saved 50 dollars because of the membership (so it was "free"). So now for the year, I get access to certain items with an extra discount which is nice. But there is more!!! Once I looked over the dashboard (yes, you get your own dashboard) there are a few more perks that come with the membership: 1. There is an assortment of free trials for decent amounts of time that you can dip into. 2. You get 60 days instead of 30 days to return things, so try and buy to your heart's content (you break it you buy it) 3. I'm impatient when it comes to shipping. If I'm laying to some good money I want my product immediately. But we all know everything isn't in stock, so two-day free shipping is a perk, not bad, and on part with Amazon Prime. 4. There is also a rewards point thing that you get discounts and rewards depending on how much you spend, and that brings us to the bad part. Now the only thing that I don't like about the membership (and it probably isn't even their fault, I'm sure it is some arrangement with Apple) is that those points that you get, well, you don't get them on Apple products (and where does most my money go?) so for all the money I spend on Apple Products they don't reward me for the future. Beyond that, I have nothing bad to say, especially since it was at no additional cost in my case. Oh, and don't forget, for like 130 dollars more you can get the tech support and warranty package which does include Apple Care+ so that looks like a great value also.

    I've been really happy with my My Best Buy Plus™ yearly membership and feel it's delivered excellent value. The free shipping on all orders is incredibly convenient for small tech purchases, and the exclusive member pricing has saved me money on several items. Getting early access to major sales helped me snag great Black Friday deals that sold out quickly. The extended return periods and faster customer support are nice bonuses too. The membership easily paid for itself within a few months through shipping savings alone. For anyone who shops Best Buy regularly for tech gear, I'd definitely recommend it.

    Best Buy Plus: Worth it for me this year

    I don't like add-ons or extra charges. I also don't like a mere 15-day return policy, especially for items that take time to evaluate. 30-day or even more is best, but I found that this was worth it for me this year. Why? This year purchases included nice bookshelf speakers (I needed more than 15 days to compare them to a different brand I got elsewhere), 3 laptops (if you're busy like me, I need more than 15 days to evaluate). Given pricing and availability, Plus made sense. It's for a year, but you can turn it "on" and "off" (pro rated usage). It was handy for the bookshelf speakers (I actually returned the brand I got at Best Buy, nice to have had more time to return). I turned Plus "off" quickly so it cost me next to nothing. Then my wife and 2 kids off-to-college needed laptops. Best Buy prices were competitive, so I signed back up for Plus, and have kept it for 2-3 months. It saved my bacon once or twice as we worked the gear out. Then I found I needed more kid-college-tech and a couple of backup SSDs for 2 new pc's I built in spring, as well as for a mac: Plus to the rescue once again, gave me the time I needed to make sure the gear worked and was what I needed. So, once a skeptic, now I'm not so grumpy about extra bucks for a longer return period. I can be worthwhile.

    I bought the memebership shortly before Tax Free Weekend in MA (2025). The computer tower that I bought has gone on sale since then. I was reimbursed $50 via the Price Match Guarantee so the membership has paid for itself. I received two $25 gift certificates a few weeks after the purchase based upon the purchase price ($25 for every $250 spent). Unfortunately, the gift certificates expire after one month. I don't really need anything from Best Buy, but I'm forced to make a purchase or they go to waste. The membership is probably worth it if you make frequent purchases. If you only shop there a few times a year the membership is probably not for you.

    I’m really glad I signed up for the My Best Buy Plus membership. I actually learned about it from a Best Buy employee who took the time to explain the program and all of its benefits to me. I really appreciated that, because it made me realize how much value it could bring, and I signed up right away. Since then, I’ve already noticed how much easier shopping has become. The member prices and discounts save me money, and the free shipping and more flexible return options make the whole process much more convenient. The included Geek Squad support is also a huge bonus, because it gives me peace of mind whenever I buy new electronics. I think this membership is especially worth it for anyone who shops at Best Buy a few times a year or more.     I had horrible experience ordering half of my appliances from loews to the point even the installers said why didn't you go to loews. My experience with best buy/this purchase was so amazing it was to good to be true. From the moment I walked into the store the manager met with me and guaranteed they would rectify any and all prior dealings as far as appliances. With my anxiety and just going through the issue it took me a month of looking at the card she gave me. From taking that deep breath and walking in that same manager remembered and made EVERY point of all things regarding appliances so seamless. They even corrected and verified the prior loews mishaps.
