    Overall not a bad plan, if you purchase a lot of tech through Best Buy. Personally Best buy is where I always look and check 1st, the fact I have close by helps too, but honestly the exclusive deals and savings that go with membership make it well worth the $50, imho. Only thing, My membership got tacked onto a purchase I had made by a floor Rep, then forgotten all about (or overlooked or unaware during purchase tbh, still not sure which, probably both) and when it auto renewed a year later at exactly 12a 0 dark 0 from Denver Colorado, my bank immediately flagged it as unauthorized, all while I slept. Not recognizing it before coffee I confirmed the rejection, and the transaction became completely mucked up..So, I let it rest for awhile, b and never renewed even after finally realizing what it was, dug through my history and confirmed that I guess I did pay for it last year . Again, The plan itself is probably worth it you shop here a lot, but they should really send out reminders, bells and whistles, etc well in advance and change the auto-renew from 1 sec past midnight, as it comes off as trying to "slip one by" both the customer and obv the bank, too. I think in the end I didn't like the way it went down, the lack of transparency, and the fact it was apparently a sales comiss "tag-on" tb with. If they changed these practices, I'd probably sign back up and recommend more, but tbh, it left w a weird a taste, so just haven't.. I may reconsider if they offered again and posted frequent transparent reminders and alerts to our account and esp emails that I still get flooded with.. Subscriptions these days seem to count on ppl not exactly knowing they have subscriptions. Can you imagine making money creating simple apps off the fact ppl can't even keep track of their own subs and memberships bc we're so inundated?! The transparent Co's get my cont'd business. The "slip one by" Co's do not. Imo, a personal rule that wld serve others well too, and remind Co's integrity still matters if you want our business.. Again, I'd still "highly recommend" the My Best Buy Membership to techy friends & fam, especially protections that come with it..but then immediately warn them about the auto-renew process.

    Purchased a new Sony television. The sales associate was excellent and went thru all the reasons to purchase the Sony brand against other name brands. I was already a Sony customer but did want to consider other brands. The sales associate was well read and understood the pros and cons of two brands I was considering. Appreciate his expertise which made the purchase very positive. Keep hiring and training good sales people. Buying the extended membership was a plus also! Thank you !!

    I purchased the membership mostly for the free shipping and I think I came out ahead with it. I tend to buy a lot of video games so over the course of the year it works well for me. I'm considering a new Mac and might go with BestBuyTotal care since you get the AppleCare built in with it.

    It has it's pros and cons. I have kept the reduced membership, but I don't know for how long. It used to be much better. I had to get rid of the larger one because when I needed my macbooks looked at they wouldn't cover them and I no longer own PC's. Also, my other electronics mysteriously stopped functioning just after the warranty period and installs are no longer free so it just wasn't worth it to keep. The reduced package is ok for now.

    I’ve had a really good experience with My Best Buy Plus. The member pricing alone has already saved me money on a few purchases, and the extra perks make it feel worth it.     A Total Screw Up

    I purchased my Plus membership a couple days prior to making a major appliance purchase at the suggestion of the representative that helped me later make my purchase. Of the washer and dryer combo set, the washer was defective, despite running it through the Quick Cycle by the Geek Squad installation crew. Called to arrange a replacement and was told that my purchase was not made as a Plus Member. The computer had a bogus account w an email that I never had. Tried to straighten the issue out w the representative who became belligerent and rude informing me I was “NOT A PLUS MEMBER”! I wasted over an hour and half waiting for that representative to finally take my call and then get into an argument over my membership. I was verbally providing from the email I received from best buy confirming my membership! It took 3 days w two more calls to Best Buy, to finally get this mess straightened out!!! Very Angry and annoyed that it took several hours on the phone w Best Buy. In the end, everything turned out okay and the defective washer was replaced. Plus Membership is probably worth the cost but there was absolutely no excuse for Best Buy to have such a major account computer screw up since I’ve had my account for over 15 years! My time is money and I deserve compensation for this inexcusable situation!

    Just another premium shopping service for store regulars. Was good, and I think I got enough discounts to just break even, and that's it. I don't need it anymore, though. If I bought TVs and was the father of a family and needed to buy tech and chose best buy and amazon as my primaries, I think I would've gotten way more value from it. My experience was 3 stars. For the people that shop here often and look for sales, it might be 5 stars. I put 4 stars as a middle ground.

    I joined because this replaced the old Best Buy Rewards program, which I had been a member of since its beginning. Unfortunately some marketing "genius" up the corporate ladder decided to discontinue the primary merchandise I had been purchasing from Best Buy for decades. I have been an avid collector of physical media (CD, DVD, BD, 4K, etc) since the formats first launched and Best Buy has always been my dependable primary source. But now they have short-dightedly chosen to discontinue selling physical media. Recent trends are showing a rising backlash by audiophile and videophile against digital downloads and streaming services upon discovering that providers are arbitrarily deleting content due to data storage limitations. Even deleting legitimately licensed and purchased downloads without compensation or recourse to the buyer. This is accompanied by rising embrace of physical formats which can't be deleted by faceless 3rd parties. Now is the time for retailers to get ahead of the curve and start aggressively promoting the advantages and availability of physical media over streaming and downloading. Pending a change in Best Buy's new policy on physical media, I have no further use for My Best Buy and will likely not renew my membership.

    It is ok, but staff is not well informed about it, just to sell it they provide some information. We got a ‘welcome gift’ with plus membership related to a canvas bag printed by Shutterfly, I was very exited to get it, it was impossible , never got the email with code, after several attempts following instructions. So, we went ahead to store at the Fountains -like it says to do so- and asked for help… NON of staff members new anything about membership plus at all, easily they wrote me a phone number to deal with, I though ‘NO Thank You, I will rather buy a canvas bag on my own without this hassle, so I dropped the idea of the free canvas bag, it was disappointing, I think there’s nothing good to offer something to others and not honor the word. Better not to offer anything. I just hope we don’t get to need one of the ‘help’ payed in the membership for something really important.

    Love my GE Refrigerator-Great Customer Service

    I was pleased with my purchase. James and Mickey, who delivered my refrigerator, were so helpful and thorough. They were early and called to let me know they were on their way. They also made sure that the refrigerator did not get scratched. James informed me how long it would take to get cold. I am very pleased that these two guys helped me. I have had other experiences where the delivery people did not know how to put my items together, and there was a language barrier that prevented me from explaining what was wrong. I was very pleased with my purchase. James and Mickey, who delivered my refrigerator, were incredibly helpful and thorough. They arrived early and called to let me know they were on their way. They made sure that the refrigerator didn't get scratched during the delivery. James also informed me how long it would take for the refrigerator to cool down. I’m really glad that these two guys assisted me.     The Best Buy plus membership is something I definitely recommend! The peace of mind if gives you including the incentives you have for products in this store is phenomenal l! I also love the feeling of employees at Best Buy saying oh your a plus members! Thank you for being a part of our team! It feels good! For my use case I was really trying to get my hands on a device that was sold out for months and being a plus member gave the an edge on early stockings. I recommend this product to everyone! For the price of the membership it pays for its self!

He was the one that not only helped me but educated me on the products and brands I was looking to buy so I can make the best for our families’s needs. Please recognize this gentleman. I have one Apple charging cord and one insignia circuit breaker and couldn’t be happier. I have bought both of these products before and have no comaints. They are reliable hence why I came back to buy more of each product.
