unfortunately, I couldn't keep anymore my membership because of financial reasons not related to Best Buy... in this mean time I was able to purchase excellents items and staff were really cooperative and expert. I hope in the future regain the membership status and also hope to find better options and a cheaper membership

I recently bought an 86 in tv, im so grateful for the clerk recommending the best but plus membership, not only did it save me money on my TV , but on all future purchases, im a regular customer of best buy, especially at Christmas, and with the wat prices are nowadays, it really helps, my savings can be spent elsewhere,

Best Buy Plus: Worth it for me this year

I don't like add-ons or extra charges. I also don't like a mere 15-day return policy, especially for items that take time to evaluate. 30-day or even more is best, but I found that this was worth it for me this year. Why? This year purchases included nice bookshelf speakers (I needed more than 15 days to compare them to a different brand I got elsewhere), 3 laptops (if you're busy like me, I need more than 15 days to evaluate). Given pricing and availability, Plus made sense. It's for a year, but you can turn it "on" and "off" (pro rated usage). It was handy for the bookshelf speakers (I actually returned the brand I got at Best Buy, nice to have had more time to return). I turned Plus "off" quickly so it cost me next to nothing. Then my wife and 2 kids off-to-college needed laptops. Best Buy prices were competitive, so I signed back up for Plus, and have kept it for 2-3 months. It saved my bacon once or twice as we worked the gear out. Then I found I needed more kid-college-tech and a couple of backup SSDs for 2 new pc's I built in spring, as well as for a mac: Plus to the rescue once again, gave me the time I needed to make sure the gear worked and was what I needed. So, once a skeptic, now I'm not so grumpy about extra bucks for a longer return period. I can be worthwhile.

I joined because this replaced the old Best Buy Rewards program, which I had been a member of since its beginning.
Unfortunately some marketing "genius" up the corporate ladder decided to discontinue the primary merchandise I had been purchasing from Best Buy for decades.
I have been an avid collector of physical media (CD, DVD, BD, 4K, etc) since the formats first launched and Best Buy has always been my dependable primary source. But now they have short-dightedly chosen to discontinue selling physical media.
Recent trends are showing a rising backlash by audiophile and videophile against digital downloads and streaming services upon discovering that providers are arbitrarily deleting content due to data storage limitations. Even deleting legitimately licensed and purchased downloads without compensation or recourse to the buyer. This is accompanied by rising embrace of physical formats which can't be deleted by faceless 3rd parties.
Now is the time for retailers to get ahead of the curve and start aggressively promoting the advantages and availability of physical media over streaming and downloading.
Pending a change in Best Buy's new policy on physical media, I have no further use for My Best Buy and will likely not renew my membership.

I was expecting a bit of a hassle, but the team at Best Buy completely changed my outlook. They went above and beyond to make things right - helping me troubleshoot the issue, offering quick solutions, and making sure I left completely satisfied.

It is comforting to have a safety plan with my expensive electronics and the store credit that I got for purchasing things is nice. The sales that I get from being a member don't usually seem to be stuff that I would be interested in, but for others it may be nice.

In May, I purchased a new Apple TV. One of the Best Buy associates sold me on getting a Best Buy Plus membership. A few weeks later, there was a sale on Apple items. It included the Apple TV. The price was the same, but now it included a free remote control holder. I knew I would have to go to the store to acquire it. The store is pretty far away, but it gave me a good excuse to have lunch with my daughter.
I talked to a couple of the associates there. They said I would have to return my Apple TV and then buy a new one. I told them that didn't make any sense because then they would lose money on the deal. They would have an open box item that they couldn't sell for the same price. I told them that I lived far away and it was the last day of the sale. I insisted on talking to a manager. I know sometimes regular employees have to tow the line, but I knew a manager could help. It took a few minutes for them to get a manager out for me. However, he was very accommodating. He said all he needed was the serial number of the device I purchased. We were able to locate it. He did a little manipulation on the computer to show that I had returned it, and then immediately repurchased it. He gave me the remote control holder.
I know not all companies allow their lower-tier employees to do what is necessary to make a customer happy, but they should. Many years ago, my second job was working for La Quinta Inns. I don't know if it's still the case, but at that time, they gave the desk clerks authority to do whatever it took to make a customer happy, even if they had to give them the room free for the night. Just a little something to think about because I'm sure some corporate person will see this.
So anyway, I have already recouped $10 of my $50 membership fee, with 11 months to go. I'm always watching the emails for specials. I'm probably going to need a new vacuum cleaner before too long and may have to replace my old dryer. I expect that my membership will help with those two items, if necessary.

I am glad I have the Best Buy membership. I bought a laptop recently from BB as always (previously I bought 4 laptops from BestBuy). The laptop was heavy and was getting too hot and I wanted to replace it with a lighter one and one that doesn’t get hot. This agent helped me find a replacement laptop and I hope it works well for me. Thank you BestBuy.

Best Buy Plus membership is a solid one for frequent shoppers. Totally worth it - free 2 day shipping, extended 60 day return window and exclusive member deals in my first few purchases! I'm a tech enthusiast but generally for anyone this is a good option between no membership and the more expensive Total plan. I scored great discounts and benefits signing up, thinking I should have signed up years back to get rewards on all my tech purchase.

So far I have found it more useful than expected for future purchases. I mainly wanted the 60 day return period for headphones I purchased since 14 days is not very long to try out a product, but is has become a valuable tool when deciding where to purchase an item. the cost comes out to a little over $4 a month.

The LG Refrigerator/Freezer with External Water and Ice Dispensers is a great model.
It replaced my 25+ year old Frigidaire Gallery that unfortunately gave out on the Sunday before Labor Day. My experience in buying the LG at Best Buy was very good. My sales team, especially Cornell, was helpful, not high pressure. I walked the appliance showroom myself, then we went around together looking at the different options and I made my final selection. I just mailed my first payment on the 18 months interest free Best Buy Plus plan. It will be paid off before that time.
I am enjoying my new LG - the brightly lit interior, the spacious shelves, the visible temperature control settings inside. The "door open alarm" is a great feature when the kids come over to visit.

I was told what I needed to get by Geek Squad. Instead of confirming they do didn't have that part in any of their stores he handled me a powered serial port that he said should take care of my needs. It did not. He said I could return the part if it didn't work, and when I did see him to let him know, he got very indifferent and stuffy about the whole issue. Thanks for nothing and two wasted trips from Guthrie to that store location (Quail Springs).

I purchased this agreement when I bought a laptop because the salesperson explained it well and it seemed like a win-win situation. I don't shop even a fraction of what I did years ago for electronics, but he features the plan offers make it well worth it, especially if more purchases are made under the plan. I recently received a renewal notice but with no more TVs or computers to buy for a few years I think I will (slightly regretfully) not renew and let it expire. If I were aware of a few purchases coming up over the next year I would renew without hesitation. This is a great plan for frequent shoppers.

If you got plenty of items you plan on scoring for the year, then its' a great purchase. Lots of benefits and surprise deals/offers. The ability to price match after 60 days is the win on more expensive items. It will pay for itself. The only negative (and probably have to wait for a class action to make it right), There was one offer, (I still have all the chat scripts and records for) that Best Buy didn't honor. After many supposedly successful and all failed attempts from staff to resolve my problem on a 50 BB certifice for purchasing 150 worth of select games on a Besbt Buy Plus member offer. This was sent up to the credit dept who claimed I have to separate member profiles... In the end still no fix from best buy...just a loop through chat memebrs and the others...wheres my certificate still BB?

Alright, let’s talk about Best Buy Plus Membership—is it actually worth the $49.99 a year? Short answer: Yeah, if you shop at Best Buy even semi-regularly, it pays for itself pretty fast.
The Perks That Slap
Free Shipping – No minimum order amount, which is a lifesaver if you hate paying for shipping on small stuff. (Looking at you, random $10 phone charger.)
Exclusive Member Deals – Some discounts are actually solid, especially on bigger purchases like laptops, TVs, and gaming gear.
Extended Return Window – You get 60 days to return most stuff, which is clutch if you’re indecisive.
The Not-So-Great Stuff
⚠ Not Everything Ships Fast – While free shipping is dope, don’t expect Amazon Prime speeds on everything. Some items take a minute, especially if they’re not in a local warehouse.
No Extra Warranty Perks – Unlike Best Buy Total, this membership doesn’t give you extended warranties or free Geek Squad support.
Final Thoughts

It was a good membership to purchase initally, because it basically paid for itself with the introductory award certificate I received. I've made two major purchases in the the first 2 months, so time till tell. My only reason for a 4 stars is that is really hard to reach anyone via phone support, some have been good and others not so good. My first presale support was great, then the next several times I had long hold times and had difficutly understanding the representatives. You cannot reach anyone at your local stores anymore. We'll see how this year goes with Best Buy support if I will continues. I dislike that fact that I am unable to reach the people at the store I worked with on my purchases by phone. I have to keep going back to the store to resolve questions I have in regard to my most recent purchases.

I bought my stove and microwave at Best Buy not because of the price but because because of the employers that worked, there are so wonderful easy to talk to and give you ideas if you need any and that’s why I became also a member cause I like their product and I like the people the store everything about it I don’t need to recommend anybody to go to Best, because people know Best Buy already is well known and well respected by what I will recommend is that you keep on getting your needs your goods at Best Buy you don’t need to look any other place else
