I didn’t get this membership just for discounts. I got it for peace of mind. What surprised me the most is how much the membership has actually saved me time, not just money.
A few months ago, one of my devices started acting up right in the middle of a deadline. I walked into Best Buy expecting a long wait, but being a Total member changed the entire experience. I was helped immediately, they diagnosed the issue on the spot, and I left the store feeling like I had my own tech team.
The part I appreciate most is the consistency. Every time I think I’ve already gotten my “value” out of the membership, something else happens . a price drop refund, a free service I didn’t know I had, or a perk that makes a purchase easier. It feels like the membership works in the background for me even when I’m not thinking about it.
It’s rare that something you pay for actually lowers your stress, but this one does. That’s why I keep it.

I have been a Total Tech member for years mainly for Geek Squad services. I am not a computer expert by any stretch and relie heavaly on Geek Squad Selinsgrove. Big shout out to Agent Carr and Morgana. I have seen many agents come and go but they keep my computers going. Only negative is I am 25 miles away one way and after dropping a unit off, the in a day or two its another 25 mies to pick it up. But that`s part of it. Another great thing about Total Tech is I think 90 day returns instead of 15. There are many other perks to being a TT member. I urge everyone to talk to a Best Buy sales staff person to get low down on Total Tech. Wouldn`t be without it!

I originally signed up for the Best Buy Total membership mainly for the warranty coverage and the extended return policy. It’s a yearly membership, and you get one year of warranty when you first sign up, with a second year added if you renew—but the warranty does not extend beyond two years, even if you continue renewing after that. That limitation aside, I’ve genuinely enjoyed and made good use of the price protection feature. Being refunded the difference when items go on sale shortly after purchase has saved me money multiple times. Because of that, I’m comfortable paying for a second year. After that second year, though, I struggle to see much incentive to keep the membership unless additional long-term benefits are offered.

I’ve had the Best Buy Total yearly membership for a while now, and it’s been more useful than I expected. The extended protection on purchases, free delivery and installation, and 24/7 tech support make a big difference, especially if you buy electronics regularly. I’ve already saved money on repairs and setup help, which easily offsets the membership cost.
What I like most is the convenience — knowing I can walk into the store or chat with support and get help without extra fees. If you shop at Best Buy more than a couple times a year or own a lot of tech, this membership pays for itself and gives real peace of mind.

I love being able to get the work I need done on my computers without being overcharged. I do however, have issue with buying a new Mac and being told I could not get the 20 minute instructional on the Mac when I was picking up a computer that had a hard drive erased, another that was to have its drive moved to the Mac, and picking up the Mac (that did not have set up the apps I requested) that was not ready. Only to be told I had to set up another appointment when an in-person agent originally set up the appointment knew my situation and assured me I would be given a 20 minute lesson on the Mac. One agent tried to be as helpful as possible as the other was trying to rid of me. In the end I was asked if we were I was good (my first Mac). I asked how to shut it off. That should be at the basic of instruction. Just because they know does not mean I know. Most of the techs were wonderful, but one ruined my experience. When I asked how to shut it off, I think she realized I was clueless and really needed help. Instead I found a place on my Mac that walks me through some of the basic issues and have reached out to friends or You Tube for other concerns. Something that could have been explained by the techs in a 20 minute walk through. After spending that much money and telling them my fears of transitioning to a Mac from a PC, they should have been more understanding.

I was on the fence about My Best Buy Total, and now I’m firmly in the “why didn’t I do this sooner?” camp. Between the member pricing, extended returns, included protection, and Geek Squad support, this membership quietly saves me money every time I shop.

I don't find geek squad is that great or helpful. I had a issue with a tv and geek squad was horrible with how to handle the issue and knowledge of how to handle the issue. I just want you the costumer that best buy takes your money for extra coverage but depending on the tv manufacturer warranty I payed and they didn't cover it or even helped on the issue I had to go back to the tv manufacturer they took care of it because the had to they gave a 2 year warranty on their tv and I wound up getting a refund because they don't carry or have a better quality tv. But to get the refund it took almost 2 months. So no tv for that amount of time I don't recommend getting the extended warranty that best buy offers in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Took my Gaming Pc to GeekSquad because it was freezing, and I had to join the membership in order for them to work on it. They couldn’t find out what was wrong at first, they tested it and it didn’t freeze. So they gave it back to me I brought it home and it continued to freeze. I recorded it, showed them the video they told me to bring it back, they found out what the problem was, informed me and fixed it and also gave me ideas of things do to make sure it doesn’t freeze. Just bought a new TV as well and my membership helped me save money!!

The customer service has been outstanding. The store associate who helped with the purchase in Pasadena was very helpful and patient. He explained the various features of different computers; he was not high pressure. The GEEK squad has been extremely helpful in setting up the computer and transferring data from my old computer. The Services Experience Manager was available, responsive, and extremely helpful via e-mail to help troubleshoot a number of issues. The membership has already proven to be well worth the investment.

These guys are great. They are always willing to help and if the don’t have any answers, they will ask upper management for help. Basically buy all your electronic products at Best Buy. Something goes wrong, they got you covered. My wife’s iPhone screen protector cracked the other day and since we bought it at Best Buy they replaced it for free with my total membership.. I also left my beats in my pants pocket and wash them, I took it to Best Buy and they couldn’t help me out at that one but referred me to another Best Buy nearby or an apple store and I was able to get them replaced for only $29 since they have the AppleCare coverage. That’s what’s great, they work with all their manufacturers to help their customers out. Definitely recommend!

I was not thrilled to have to make this purchase initially. I went into GeekSquad after my PC tower would not turn on. The fans would start and then it immediately would turn off.
When I brought it in, they basically told me that the membership would likely end up costing less than whatever repairs were determined to be needed.
180 felt steep.
But after everything that turned out to be wrong with my old pc, and the work that i had them do with my new one, it was absolutely worth the price.
It covered all of my diagnostic, repair charges, and data transfers and now Im covered for the entirety of this year for any other device that may have issues.
While it doesnt cover the cost of parts, it does cover services and that turned out to be a much better deal!
Staff were fantastic through and through.

About a year ago I was getting ready to start school and needed a new laptop, I was unsure and uneducated on what would be the best fit for me. Thankfully, my husband took me down to best buy and I had a great experience. The staff was very well educated and did not try and force me into something that I did not need. I was only needing something that would get basic things done. Like logging into school power points to follow along in class, essays, the Web so I could do research and watch educational videos. I ended up purchasing the Samsung laptop which has done everything I've needed effortlessly. I did have some technical issues but that was cleared up quickly because Thankfully I also purchased a two year best buy warranty that allowed me to contact their "Geek squad" and let me tell you, they are life savers! I was able to get back to focusing on my education quickly.

I came in needing a laptop repaired and was told that this membership would save me money and give me more access to things like unlimited geek squad support including for items I didn’t buy from Best Buy but needed help with and access to exclusive deals from Best Buy. The membership renews annually from the day you got it and I’ve enjoyed having it so far. I only rated it 4 stars because I recently got it and haven’t been able to truly use it a ton yet, but it seems great so far

Purchase new printer could not get printer to connect so call Best Buy techies $129 to come out so send him out when tech arrived I asked him to make sure scan worked so he got done said all set to go . Week later go to ise scan don’t work so call Best Buy guy on phones says I can fix that remote so for $179 year of service . I said just payed $129 he said you will need to ask for refund . Well I went to Best Buy they 2 different deals can’t refund but we can send guy back out I said it works now . So just sign up for $179 for years worth of service .
