Great freezer, easy to to work, lots of room in side, looks good

This is the 2nd replacement of the same model. Both freezers took a couple of months to be delivered. For the first freezer, The handle did not fit on the screws because the holes were too small. I called Best Buy and was advised to drill the holes. The temperature alarm also went off when the door was not opened for hours. The side was a bit hot than normal. Second replacement was installed by Best Buy. The handle came out of it’s screws after the return policy expired. The handle also cracked. It could be due to faulty installation or defective handle or both. Both freezers are hard to open. You’d think it was locked even when the short-lived handle was working. Now much harder with no handle especially for my elderly mom. We’ve had 4 freezers and none had problems but they were different brands. We thought this GE brand would be good. It is not. It was a huge mistake to replace with the same brand and model. We should have gone with something else. I bought a temperature alarm in case so all our food won’t go to waste. It’s hard to be without food with health issues going on.

I own a bakery and one of our freezers went out. Perfect timing. Only thing I was disappointed in was changing of the arrival date.

This is a great upright freezer. It fit an entire cow.

The refrigerator fits well into the area we choose. It runs quietly and has lots of space. The door fits tightly wish assures things stay frozen and I like the alarm that chimes if the door hasn't closed completely. I hope to buy some bins to use for organizing different foods so things are easier to find when needed and it appears they will fit well.

We do have a few issues with this GE upright freezer. We have been unable to install the handle as one of the recessed handle screws was missing and is not a standard item. So we are using it without the handle which is difficult and inconvenient. I will try contracting Geek squad at some point to try to replace it. After a couple days our freezer full of meat was very solidly frozen, but a few days later our power went out in the night and by the early afternoon of the next day almost ALL of our meat was completely thawed. That shouldn’t happen when the freezer has not been opened or the area overheated. I am quite disappointed because I assumed insulation would be comparable for all freezers, but this performance is much worse than our previous freezer. The interior is roomy and well organized, and the lighting is nice and even which is critical for a garage unit. We are satisfied with the freezer, and I should note, we ordered this April 12 and it was not delivered until mid-August, due to industry wide delays—but even so, Best Buy processed the payment immediately and had the free use of our money for 4 1/2 months. Most companies would not charge you 5 months before delivery.

This is a much larger freezer than I expected. A welcome surprise. Shelves are easily adjusted and temperature is true. It is a quality product, especially for the price. Highly recommend.

So far so good! This freezer is large and holds a ton of food. As others have mentioned, the door closure/suction is very strong! Trying to open the door repeatedly may be tough. It’s made for the garage so not a lot of bells and whistles but it gets the job done. I purchased freezer baskets to make it easier to store vacuum sealed items but overall very good appliance. I have no complaints.

This freezer is enormous. Lots of great storage space. I can see everything i have because of so many shelving compartments within freezer and on the door. It comes with 2 keys for the locking mechanism. It took less than a day for fully freezing when it was initially setup. It’s also easy to clean. I’m extremely happy with this purchase.

Our previous garage (that is where the freezer is) freezer would frost up especially in humid weather. The door seals very tightly so this one is gloriously frost free. It is also large and with a lot of door shelves. The one drawback is that the shelves are all very far apart. I think the could have put one more shelf in the freezer.

Fits perfectly, does a great job. We needed a bigger freezer and this one fits the budget and space.

Great Big freezer, I thought about the glass shelves, but I actually preferred the wired shelves feels sturdy and appears to hold more weight

Large easy to grip handle. Very quiet & shows temperature & power being on. Basket on bottom has lip to top to prevent spillage. Light inside.

This freezer is great, we fit a whole beef and still have room for our other freezer storage needs. I love the panel on the front that shows temp settings, and any alarms that may exist.

What a great freezer! Lots of room, quiet and cools quickly. This was a great purchase we are very pleased.
