I love this thing I bought this as gift for my mother originally. She saw a commercial on TV that connected your ring camera to view who is at your door. Well as I connected it, I learned that this can connect your smart lights, play music and notify you on your packages from Amazon and a ton of other things in which this device will give advice on what it can do. I bought the bigger one due to the larger screen and I am happy with it.

This thing is awesome. It was easy to set up and configure with my existing smarthome. Display is awesome and love that it plays Netflix and other streaming services. As a side note, not sure if it’s just me but cannot figure out how to select different videos on Netflix - so far I have to tell google what to play each time, so that’s a negative, but I didn’t but it for streaming).
The one thing I’ve noticed is that now my existing google nest points go offline a lot since I’ve installed it, it not sure if that’s a related issue.
Overall a great buy!

I have the smaller one in my bedroom. I love that I can see the cameras, especially the front doorbell, if expecting a package.

I am enjoying this Nest Hub Max Smart Display a lot. I use it for weather conditions and playing music. I intend to use it in conjunction with my Nest doorbell once it is installed. I also use it to "Google" questions instead of using a phone or computer. This Hub has many more functions, but for now I'm only using it for these functions. It was easy to set up and has worked perfectly in my living room. I 've enjoyed the benefits of it so much that I bought another one - the 7inch model - and set it up in the kitchen. I am 100% satisfied with this product and recommend it because of the many functions it can perform.

The Nest Hub is a sleek, smart display that seamlessly merges style with functionality. With a crisp 7-inch display, it excels as a central hub for smart home control. Google Assistant integration, ambient mode, and privacy features make it a standout addition to any connected home. While compact, it delivers big on performance, making it a must-have for those seeking a smart, stylish, and user-friendly home automation experience.

The way this screen is designed it sits atop the speaker and its footprint isn't too big. The color rendering and light sensing is much better on the Google products over the Lenovo ones. The sound quality is excellent and processor speed is also very good. Compared to the 7" home hub, at night this ones screen and digit size are much brighter, so if light in your bedroom is a concern you may want the 7" unless a operating system update lets us change the font size. I have not used the camera yet but there is a physical switch to shut it and the mics off or you can swipe to turn just camera off. There is not a physical shutter to hide the lens though. I am told this does integrate with other Nest accessories like the temperature sensor as well but none is built in like the Amazon echo plus has.

This is a beautiful device. The sound is leaps and bounds better than the smaller nest hub. It was really easy to set up and integrate into all of my apps. The slide show was simple to set up as well, and wow, the display makes all my photos look fantastic. The face recognition is a little creepy, but what the heck, I really don't care if big brother watches me cook(oh the hub max is in my kitchen).
The sensor that activates the device is really good as it wakes up immediately. I also like that I can set up and name multiple timers(like one timer I named pizza, the other chicken wings, etc..) and the you can say ok google turn off pizza timer and voila:) did I mention the sound and display is great? Oh, and everything is really fast.
I have a ring, can't wait till the ring can be viewed with my hub max.
Bottom line, for a couple hundy you get great sound, a really smart display for all your recipes, and an elegant way to view those family photo...a real crowd stopper too.
go ahead and buy one already.

I would give this rating 5 stars; however, the migration with Google and Nest still has some glitches to work out. Once I migrated from my Nest account to my Google account it deleted all my cameras since I had two profiles in Nest and the Hud Max can only allow you to view your cameras on the main profile. I called Google's customer support and they had to conference me in with the Nest customer support team too. At the end I was instructed to reinstall all my cameras under one profile. This was a pain since I have several cameras that require a ladder to reach them.
Over all, the product is great. The speakers are loud and pictures are vibrant.
I only wish this product was still compatible with my Lutron - Smart Home Lights.

fits right into the smart home system. setting up some of the camera stuff isnt super easy and If you have multiple google users in the house I don't think you can really incorporate multiple users.

Love this display! It is big, has a great quality camera and doubles as an extra security camera! It does not have night vision so if the room is dark your camera is dark but making Cala on it and answering our doorbell with it is very helpful!

This is a great product with a super large and crisp display, simple and easy set up and works great. Updates happen in the background without being annoying. Watching TV or YouTube videos on here are great and I love being able to see my nest cameras on screen. Great product!

I really dig my Nest Hub Max for a main room that functions as a central home control device. Nice picture, good sound, and easy interface BUT its not as responsive as I would like and its SUPER pricey even years later.

Our entire home is connected with Google, and this was an upgrade to a V1 Google Home Hub in the kitchen. The upgrade was substantial! The speakers in this thing are awesome! They are right on par with the Nest Audio and it's amazing speaker. I created a group so all the speakers in the room fire at the same time when playing music and unlike before with the weak speaker of the older Google Home Hub, there is no imbalance anymore, just strong and loud sound. The Google Duo video calling is also amazing and the way the camera follows you around the room during calls is very neat. I am very happy with my purchase and I can't imagine having anything else in the kitchen that would be better!

Great picture and easy to use with all my other smart products as outdoor cameras, doorbell and light bulbs. I love how i can control music from the hub to my speakers and mini hubs throughout the house. Even the bathrooms, every room is a concert

Bought this product to replace an older speaker. It has a great sound with deep bass, very powerful speaker, it has face recognition, bigger screen and easy to use.
Works great to pull recipes and play music while cooking.

So I was unsure if this would be worth the extra investment over the smaller Hub.
After a months use this does have many advantages over the smaller system. The sound is vastly improved which is appreciated by my teenage kids and then the camera came in really handy when we went away on vacation and it doubled as a security cam.
I have also used the max hub to use Duo with my family back in England and it work great!, it also tracks you to some extent when you walk around the room, helps make the conversation feel more natural as you can go about your business without being stuck to one spot.
But ultimately the screen size and the ability to stream Netflix on the screen makes it a great replacement for the baby brother.
I really like the system and have no regrets with the additional outlay to get it....

I love our hub. The screen is perfect for reading recipes, viewing our nest cameras, and looking at photos. The sound is great for listening to music in the kitchen. Picks up our voice commands easily. It was super easy set up. Would highly recommend.

We first bought the NES Hub (smaller version with NO camera) for our grand parents. At first, they just wanted to be able to see our Google Photo that was shared with them. Then it came to realization that the screen size was a bit on the smaller size. So, we kept the old hub and bought them this...Wow, it gave them more freedom to connect with us! It uses Google DUO (much much better than HangOut). It's so easy to have video conferencing from our phone to their Hub MAX. Although it cost way more than a regular hub (more than a tablet), but can't beat the convenience for a non-tech savvy grand parents who are not afraid to use it! Love it!

We bought the smaller nest hub the day before this Max came out because we didnt know the Max Hub was coming. We got those on sale for $99 instead of the $129 but just happend to be at Best Buy the next day and seen the Max and though wow its $229 I thought that was kind of pricey but purchased one anyway. The extra money was worth it if has a camera you can view in your home when away, it sets off with motion as well. The speaker is ten times better than the smaller unit and the screen is much bigger. Bottom line if you can afford it spend the extra money it's so worth it.
