This broke down about three months after we used it. I will never buy another Netgear modem again I’ve gone through two in two years.
All NETGEAR products come with a 1 year hardware replacement warranty, and if your CM700 is defective or has failed NETGEAR Support will be happy to help you with this, and issue an RMA replacement if necessary. You can contact NETGEAR Support by going to: https://www.netgear.com/support/contact.aspx and follow the onscreen instructions. Once you’ve registered your product you will be given the options of contacting Support through Phone, Chat, or email.

It worked well for 4 weeks, then after many phone calls and time wasted (including a new cable line) IT WENT BAD (100MBPS) when we have 400 mbps service...

After signing up for internet in our new apartment, I decided to purchase a router and modem instead of renting the router and modem from our internet provider. This router and the modem cost up to 275 together and clocked my speed at way under what I should have been getting. For the performance and the price point it is seemingly pointless to not rent the modem and router from the internet provider.

I was shocked to find out that this modem advertises 1.4 Gb/s download speeds, but that’s absolutely not the case if you have Xfinity. Very disappointed. If you also need those speeds through Xfinity, you need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem.

Keeps doing this thing where it cuts internet for a split second which if you are gaming using origin or Epic games causes you to D/C and boots you from the game. Saw it on my task manager and cant figure out why this dam thing is doing it

Worked okay for about 7 months then died! I tried to return it to BestBuy, but the warranty had rolled over to Netgear. Now I have to contact them for return.

My ISP sent a blanket email telling us we could increase speed with the reccomeded modem. I checked my down & upload speeds on my existing modem. Then I bought the recommended modem and found that is was about 20% slower than my old one. Lesson here is to question the ISP blanket recommendation. So, modem is just okay, ISP advice is rubbish.

It work good when it actually work but signal will drop atleast 2 times a day. Apparently the chip inside (intel) is not good and needs to be rested once a da. Got a motorola and work great with a wrt3200acm
