The NETGEAR modem works fine. The only thing that I did not like about it was that it is light and my cable pulls it down. I used Velcro to hold it down. I replaced my Linksys router with the Netgear 32x8 cable modem because BestBuy does not stock LinkSys Routers, at least the one that I wanted.

Are you sick of paying a monthly fee to Xfinity just to make the internet work?
I was and for around one years rental fees you own this puppy and after that you are basically making money. This model doesn't include a built in router, but I didn't need one. If you do then I would look elsewhere.

We have a 3900 sq foot house that is approx half walk out basement. We get a solid signal throughout the house. I also like the ability to set up “Guest” access. This was a good replacement of an older modem and definitely wiser than renting from our internet provider.

So far so good.
Bought this to replace my SB6190 that died
Runs cooler than the SB6190 @ 775Mbps...
Comcast approved. Took them a while to get it activated..
Love the Netgear genie that's on my router..
Very stable base plate the SB6190 tended to tip over...
Thought I was getting away from the PUMA chipset though..
No reboot issues so far.
