Setup is easy and the device is reliable. Noticeable increase in speed once this was set up & hooked in with my router. Very reliable.

This modem was simple to connect and does exactly what is needed. I use it to connect with my internet provider, Comcast. It allows me to connect my wireless router to the internet so I can stream my Roku TVs and other devices -- works great! The modem has to be activated through Comcast, which can be done by calling Comcast Support (you'll need the MAC address and serial number from the modem to give to Comcast Support. It's printed on the modem.) With this set-up, I save significant equipment rental fees and have begun enjoying streaming vs legacy cable service.

You only have 2 options when it comes to a docsis 3.1 modem. This one and a surf board. This one is cheaper and only has one Eithernet output line, the surf board has 2. No issues so far, my max download speed is about 800gb down 51up.

Bought this modem because I had purchased a high-end router thinking it was a modem/router combo, however this was a welcome addition to the setup. It replaced the previous Netgear Modem/Router combo I had used for almost a decade from one state to another. I think this brand has really solidified itself as an industry leader. The speed is fantastic and it pairs well with the router I purchased that runs wifi 6 technology. Extremely simple setup and will easily provide 7 or 8 devices with streaming capacity that doesn't lag.

I picked this up, along with a router, so I could return my rented combo (modem/router in one) from my ISP. I am definitely not tech savvy when it comes to equipment like this, so I did my research by reading other reviews. This modem does exactly what it's supposed to do. It was simple to connect and I am getting all of the speed I'm paying for without the rental fee. It is designed to handle current/future technology so it should be viable for quite a while. This modem isn't cheap. You are paying for the technology and capability that it produces...but this will pay for itself in less than a year with the money I'm saving on inferior rental equipment. THAT, is great value!

Extra fast and extremely reliable. I turned this modem on about a week about and its worked better than expected. Registered it quickly with my cable provider and it worked right away. Also like that its future proof.

My 8 year old Netgear router finally bit the dust. Got a newer model but same Netgear brand to replace it. Easy setup. After calling ISP and giving them the router numbers, internet was back up and running quickly. Numbers were a big high on the download power side so I added a -4db attentuator--download power numbers are now between +2 and -2.

I was concerned that the modem might not work for me since it specifically mentioned that it was not certified for Spectrum, but I wanted to future-proof myself so I purchased it anyway. It was easy to connect, and after a three minute call to Spectrum, it was up and running.
According to the Speedtest results, my ping times dropped from always being in the 35-45 millisecond range to 12-15 milliseconds every time I tested my service. If you need a reliable modem that dramatically reduces your lag, this is the one for you!

After upgrading my WiFi plan from 15 Mbps to 1 Gigabit, I was required to upgrade my modem. During a few weeks of trying out different equipment to find out how to achieve faster connections, I decided to try out Xfinity own modem as well as this Netgear modem. Xfinity includes rental fees and really forces customers to buy their own equipment to save money in the long run. After two weeks of comparing both modems, I decided to return the Xfinity modem. There was no benefit to have the Xfinity modem since the Netgear modem provided the same speeds. There was no drop in connection at all. I was able to buy this modem when it was on sale and will save money in the long run by not having to pay for rental fees.

I purchased this modem in 2018 when I decided to stop renting the modem from Wow!. Since then I moved into a bigger house and I needed to buy a mesh router system. I read some reviews that recommended upgrading your modem at the same time as your router. I did some research and found out this modem is still the top of the line!
I currently pay for 500mbs internet speed and I am consistently getting 550 mbs when I test the speed. I upgraded my router to the AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System and it has been phenomenal.
Modem was very simple to install and it's easy to tell if it is working.

I have had this product for about a month now and it has been excellent sturdy network all the way. I hooked this modem to my Google wifi router and had no hickups as to restarting the network. (Its too early for that...) I may add/edit the review down the line but for now all i can say is "This is a great investment".
I have owned netgear products earlier too. The value for money is always good for these. I owned a wifi router from netgear that lasted me for 4 years (bought for 20 bucks). This product considering its price shall certainly be lifelong :). The future index too seems good as this is DOCSIS 3.1 and not 3.0.
Will recommend this product in a heartbeat.

Lightning storm took out my Arris Syrfboard cable modem, I needed to get my internet back on line asap. Best Buy sales person recommended the Netgear CM 1000. so far it has worked as expected very pleased with the purchase.

I traded in my old Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 for this NightHawk DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem during Best Buy Promotion period last December. It was very easy to set it up with XFINITY/COMCAST cable service and now the download speed is about 450Mbps. This NightHawk DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem has been up and running for about one month by now and I haven't experienced any issue with it. I'll update if anything unexpected occurs.

I got this modem when I upgraded to a 1 gig connection from the Cable company. The unit the installer brought out was a DOCSIS 3.0 modem and was giving me pathetic speeds. I took the Arris modem back and they gave me the ten bucks a month credit to my account (win) and my speeds went up noticeably (win). When I called support to get things going I was reassured I did the right thing when all their support folks made glowing comments about Netgear. Their words "yeah Netgear is the best". I also have the RAX80 router and of course the modem and router get along famously. I am well satisfied so far.

After using other brands (Ares) and having issues here and there. I decided to go the netgear route after being recommended by Cox techs. Our if the box it is really fast and speed up my website load times to almost instantaneous. I do not have the highest cox package to take advantage of this modems max speed or anything close to it for that matter (150/15 is my speed) but it does speed things up due to having more channels and better technologies. Yes it is expensive, but it’s worth the money and is way more future proof than anything else besides the latest and greatest models just coming out.

When I found I had access to Gigabit services from Comcast I had to make that critical decision of going with my own modem or paying Comcast $10/month to lease a modem from them. I was also told there was a mandatory home visit and $100 installation fee to get the 1 GB service. Instead I decided to forgo all that and buy my own modem. The reviews were pretty solid in other areas and I was hoping it would be the same for me in the SLC area. The installation was absurdly simple. It has been a couple months now and it is been functioning flawlessly. Absolutely no complaints and it was as simple as just ordering it online and picking it up at the local Best Buy. Easy and beat Amazon in both time and price.

For flying speeds. 3.1 Docsis which means works with 2020 & 2021 gig speed internet. It will even handle multiple gig speed, multiple devises. Love it.
