Good wireless access point features, minor bugs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a good wireless access point product. It does NOT work as a router with a cable modem/router combo like mot people have today. At least this way I get full connectivity on the local LAN and wireless LAN of ALL my devices. I like the USB printer sharing (but wish I did not have to install an app to use it on each computer; also can't use it from Apple phones and iPads). Haven't used it yet, but does offer USB storage option for backups and general file movement. The AC 5GHz sometimes drops out. I can tell because my iPhone switches automatically to the wifi from my cable router when this happens. This is very annoying but not very frequent occurrence (about once every 2-3 days). I had a TP-link before this unit that dropped out completely every day. So this is not too bad. Seems like every unit I have tried and read reviews about has this dropout issue. My Raspberry Pi NAS storage system drops out maybe once a year (whenever there's a power brownout). Don't understand why it's so hard to design one of these expensive boxes to be 99.999 % reliable (I'm an electronic engineer).

Changed gaming forever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kids were constantly frustrated because their XBOX games would lag and freeze while playing online with friends. Part of the problem was our old TV but the other problem was internet speed and strength of the router. The Nighthawk has resolved the issues and the kids are having more fun than ever before.

Very strong signal even outside
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy hook up and has an extremely strong signal even in my mid-century home where there are multiple thick interior brick walls and concrete floors. Even has a signal outside at my outdoor patio even though the router is inside the basement with poured Concrete foundations and solid brick walls.

Exceeds expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a large old 3-story Victorian Home. I installed this router on the second floor and have had excellent coverage on all three floors plus the basement. We often are running wifi on smart tvs, laptops, phones and ipads at the same time and have had no issues since installation. I highly recommend.

Good router for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an old Nighthawk Router with this one. It was pretty easy to set up. Like the mobile ap for managing and set up. It covers a large ranch style house fairly well and even some coverage outside.

Good for a large home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was almost painless to install. The hardest part was going to all of the computers in the house and changing settings. I now get a excellent signal in the basement of my house with the router in the office on the second floor.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave this router five stars mainly for the fact that our cable internet router was always spotty and slow. With this unit you can have your tv’s on one setting and everything else on another setting and download speeds are amazing. Best of all it works for every space in the house

Excellent range and performance
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this mid-ranged priced router thinking it would be ok. So they are holding up well. One is exposed to more heat than it should. It's up in the attic so it exposed to the cold and the heat. It hasn't died yet. Range is very good despite all the concrete.

Good router, high price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to replace a Netgear N600 that stopped working. Setup from the Netgear side was pretty easy but couldn't connect to internet at first. Later found that the Cox modem will only recognize one router and was able to get everything working after calling Cox and having them completely reset their modem. This router has a stronger signal, providing a full signal throughout my whole house, which was not the case with the N600. Streaming and downloading large files do not seem to be any faster than the N600. I play games and like the QoS settings for gaming. I have had this router for approximately 2 months and have had no issues with it. Overall I would say this is a solid router but the price is rather steep. For normal internet users I would recommend buying a lower cost N-router .

No problems yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No problems yet. Only reason I Gave this 4 stars is because I’m used to a much sleeker looking apple router. This one is kinda eh. No problems with holding a connection while Doing yard work. I have multiple smart Phones, TVs, tablets and gaming systems; Everything is pretty speedy and works fine.

Vast improvement in wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router as I soon found that running multiple devices simultaneously was too much for my previous router. I have found my wifi connections to be more consistent and watching movies using Netflix, Amazon, etc to be a better experience. I've yet to use it for gaming, but believe my experience will be enjoyable.
