Upgrade my parent's router as they were using the default Verizon FIOS router and were getting horrible signal throughout the house for all of the devices (computer, tablet, and phone). Once I set it up, they were getting an excellent signal all the way out to the end of the driveway.

Only CON...the password for WiFi is difficult to remember. If there is a way I could customize it, I haven't figured it out.

This Nighthawk wireless router is more than adequate for high def gaming.

Purchased this model because it was on sale, but it performs extremely well and have experienced no problems so far. Lights on the router give off a glow in a dark room like a night light, so this may be a problem if you want the room you place the router in to be completely dark at night.

I have forgotten how horrible my internet connection was before this little number came home with me. so much better now.

This router is an excellent choice for those looking to boost there wifi signal through their home. We have two story, 4200 sq/ft home with 6 bedrooms and the signal boosts easily through the walls for that great wifi speed.

It's a good router with bad firmware and glitchy updates. At first it worked without problems. But, not it needs regular resets (unplugging etc..). Oh, and the 5G channel does not work. Other reviews echo what I've said. Have owned it for three years so I didn't have to rent equipment from the cable company. In that aspect it has saved money, however there is no customer service from Netgear.

I work from home and live in a large 2 story home. The router is located on a different floor on the opposite end of my office . With this device I'm able to log on to my wifi with no problems. Signal is strong and never drops. This is a must have if you want a strong signal anywhere in your home

This thing has amazing range! Got this for my parents business which is inside a very large cement building and we couldn't get good range with their other router. This one penetrates the cement walls (to some degree) and gets them twice the range the old one did. Definitely worth the price

We were looking for a router/booster that would reach all rooms in our 2000 sq ft house. It’s location is in the basement by the gaming systems but also reaches the bedrooms upstairs. It has improved the speed and reaction time of the Xbox to the delight of my kids!

I've been using this for about three months now and so far I love it. Nothing bad happened and works just fine.

I had an Asus router and it pooped out. I need a powerful one to run all my security cameras and smart home things. So, I went to Best Buy and the helpful young man recommended this netgear nighthawk router. I purchased it and took it home and it was a snap to set up. Very pleased.

This router is pretty solid, and looks awesome. The only con I have is that the Netgear web interface is super ugly. Unfortunately, dd-wrt support for this is limited. The builds they have cause Wi-Fi to disconnect randomly, and frequently, which makes dd-wrt rather impractical. But running this router on stock firmware is pretty solid.

I needed this because my router/modem is stuck in the basement. I have some hard wired ports in the house and plugged this thing in, it found the network and configured itself. Super easy. Now i have super fast connection all thought out the house and all the way out to the mailbox if i need it!

The range is not very good. I need something that reaches from the front of my house to the back and this is barely able to.

My wifi was working very well with this router and it was insanely easy to set up by myself. The app that you use along with it is also very nicely set up and easy to navigate and use.

No issue with buffering within the house or property lines. Wish I had purchased it earlier.

Very easy to set up and configure. The app for my phone is great for monitoring and updating settings. It also allows a quick look at every device currently connected. For any non-techies our there, this the router for you.

I love this router! We have a large house and finally I have a router that we can rely on anywhere we are. (even in my sons treehouse!) But the feature I love the most is the net gear genie app that lets me block the Internet on all of the kids devices. Bedtime on school nights, when they are grounded, etc. Don't know what we did without it!!
