I bought a router and range extender as I was getting 1 of 5 signal bars in my living room in a moderately large house. I hooked the router up first. It essentially does everything for you but plug in the wires - have had lots of routers, but never one that easy to set up. Once set up.,. full bars! I returned the range extender a few days later without ever opening it. The range of this Nighthawk router is way better than the old D-Link DIR-655. This Nighthawk router is more expensive than others, but well worth the money. Excellent buy.

Easy set up and great speed. Worth the money. Previous router continually needed to be reset. Haven’t had to at all with this new one. The app is handy too.

About a month ago my router gave out on me so I had to go out and buy another one. Did a little shopping around and settled on the Netgear Nighthawk dual band wireless. The install was so simple and quick, all I did was plug it in, install the Netgear genie, a few clicks later done. It was up and running in less than 30 min. And the service I am getting out of it is awesome. None of my tvs freeze or loose connection, no lag what so ever when I'm gaming (console or pc). Was very much worth the buy.

Love my new router, my old router wasn't even close to keeping up with the speed from my modem. Now it's lightning fast and extremely reliable and easy to set up!!!

I bought this router for my parents since they were upgrading their services and needed a new router and a middle of the road price range. This does everything it needs to do and have a strong signal throughout their house. This device also has 4 Ethernet connections to have a hard connection for a couple devices. Easy to use and set up and has a nice app to help set up and customize. Nothing special but does what’s needed for its price range. No complaints at this time.

This Router has allowed us to expand and Improve the range and quality of the Wi-Fi in our home. Our older 'N' router couldn't reach half as far as this router does. Highly recommended to solve many home networking issues.

Wife got to keep it in the divorce. Before that it worked amazing for a large house.

I recently moved to a different ISP and their modem had an integrated router included. Even though we went from 3mbs to 12mbs speed, our streaming experience was horrible with low quality pictures and intermittent drops of programing. Even worse, our web browsing was slower and sometimes lost connection. I purchased the Nighthawk and placed the modem in bridge mode and instantly saw a major difference. Web pages popped to the screen in a blink of the eye and web searches were lighting fast. We were now able to stream HD content from our roku with minimal wait time and no buffering during the remainder of the show. Compared to other routers I've had, the signal range of the NightHawk is far superior. The router is located on the opposite side of the house from our entertainment system, but we can still get full bars for signal strength and have no problems streaming content. The dual bands provided by the router let's all my devices, old and new, take advantage of whatever bands they can handle, and I've not had one device drop from our home network. Adding a USB hard drive is as simple as just plugging it in to the router, then you can access the drive over your network by just mapping to it. Now, there is no reason to NOT backup your critical data. On the down side, if you want to set up dynamic DNS, Netgear does provide a way to do that, but I found the process to be way too complicated and the documentation on how to do it didn't go into enough detail. Also, the Netgear genie app seemed more showy than actually helpful to me. All in all, I feel this router has a great deal to offer in speed, range and quality of service. For the price it certainly delivers on its promise.

Have had this for about 2 months and I am extremely happy with it. I have 10 or more devices hooking up to it and no drop signals and speed is great. I had a combo unit before and it can not come close to what this one does.

Replaced 2 Google's mesh wifis with this one unit. I now have a strong signal all over the house with 200+mb download speeds and no delay on Netflix.

It's a great overall AC Router. I love the ability to customize router and the smart wi-fi feature. I don't play games so i made streaming a priority. The software can also tell me if someone is on the network that is not supposed to be.

We have 14 wireless components hooked up to our home wireless network which was crippling the speed of our built in Verizon router/modem. As such, we purchased this remote router and have been very, very pleased with its speed and signal strengths. The speeds generally maintain the same speed rating as the wired Verizon service! The signal strength is enough to cover the back yard.

This is the only router that would allow wifi access from all areas of my home. Don't buy extenders or boosters.....this router is worth the price considering it's ability. I have it located on the main floor of my two story home...wifi is available even in the attic and basement.

Connectivity is instant and delivering superb wifi speed. Genie app is also great. Only issue I have been facing is with the range. With 2-3 walls and within 40 feets, wireless devices get disconnected. Not sure if something related to settings. Currently on default firmware. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

I do have fiber in my house for internet. The router gives me what i need throughout the entire house and the spedd still awesome. Up to 60 mbps and 3-4 devicea all at once. I thought it was expensive at first, but after 3 months aprox. Dont regret it at all

This Netgear WiFI Router was easy to set up and I had it working for my wifi within about 10 minutes. House coverage is much improved with this Router and I can now stream Netflix, You Tube etc through my Smart TV in multiple different rooms without interruptions or streaming lag.

I had previously used a number of different Netgear routers...none of them had the signal strength needed for my large home. The Nighthawk was easy to install and solved a long-standing access issue. Recommended highly...so much so, that I bought a second one for a second home!

This product is as advertised. Fantastic range as well. We watch football outside on Sundays with 2 laptops going for fantasy football. It works perfectly 50 feet away and outside the house. Super easy to set up too.

So after about a year of use this router did not meet my expectations. This came highly recommended and was rumored to be a BEAST... however the firmware updates make this thing drop signals, the nighthawk app not longer allows for remote access, and my signals often drop after switching to this router. I was looking for something that could handle heavy traffic as well as a large amount of devices, and this router just wasn't cutting it for me.

This router is easy to set up right out of the box. Works perfectly through out our two story home, and in the basement too. Also strong signal outside.
