I was looking for a solution to replace an existing Netgear WND3600. I needed longer range to give more strength in my basement. This new router sites on our top floor and goes through lots of walls and gives great performance downstairs. Great if you need range!

Excellent for the price. Though I have had a few cases of dropped connection. Definite increase in wifi speed.

We have had this router for almost 2 months and are so happy with the performance. It works so much better than our last set up. We considered buying a more expensive (next step up) router, but the store associate said the expert reviews on this one were better.

Good performance in a 3500+ sq ft home. Good signal reaches all of the spots my old system, with an extender, could not reach. I love the genie app for my phone. This feature allows me to check the signal at any time - very cool.

I have noticed a significant increase in the speed in loading of applications on my computer & smartphone & have not had anymore buffering upon streaming videos. I would recomend the NETGEAR R7000 Nighthawk Dual-Band Gigabit Router! It's definately worth the money!

The experience was good with the product. It fulfilled what I needed. As an individual who liked to game and do homework it was very adequate but mainly it’s meant for really just me or another person as well.

I haven't finished setup on this yet, but so far its been quite simple. Integrates with the rest of my gear very easily and signal so far is amazing! Segregated channel for my security cameras has greatly increased their reliability as well!

This router reaches spots in my house that I could not get a signal in before! Easy to setup. Signal strength is great throughout my house! 2500 sq feet

I have a roughly 3000sqft home and router is at one end of the house but 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi reaches to other end with good strength. 5G doesn't quite reach all the way. Speed and bandwidth are good and reliability has been super for the first month. I have not had to reset a single time. My only complaint it the setup app killed my android Moto G5 phone. After i installed the app my phone would no longer identify or connect to any wifi. After a call to Motorola, I had to reset the phone to factory and reinstall everything. So if you buy this I'd suggest installing without using the app.

Great WiFi router for its price tag. Great for pairing with other devices.

Good range. Is not fully compatible with Skybell. It adds several seconds of lag before doorbell would sync. Tech support from Netgear and Skybell had no fix. Problem resolved with a chance to Linksys router.

Coming from my old Linksys E4200, this router is a welcomed upgrade. I love the control that I have over the 2.4 and 5.0 bands. I love the extended range and speed...I like having the map that shows how much link rate is going to each device. Mind you, I'm coming from and old N-Router which was 5-6 years old and had limited controls. Between the 10 wireless devices, and the 4 wired devices, this router never slows....I love it! My internet is also 100mbps down, and 35mbps up...I highly recommend the AC1900 if you stream, game, and have multiple wireless devices.

We had a difficult time with our inksys turning off its security as well as the fact that we could not use our Bluetooth/Pandora by the pool. With the netgear, not only was the installation seamless- the coverage is extensive. Definitely recommend this product!

This was purchased to replace an Asus AC router that bricked on a firmware update. The Asus is subpar to this model imho. After using this router to cover our 3K Sq ft home for 3 months now, we have had 0 issues. My wife had it setup and configured in minutes. The router is located at the front corner of the home and we get excellent coverage and speed even throughout the backyard. Very satisfied with this purchase.

We purchased this router and a new Arris cable modem because the previous two were getting quite old and were not abe to function adequately with more data going through them than before. They both needed to be reset once in awhile and had become a pain. We went to our local Best Buy at Chapel Hill Plaza and I spoke with a sales rep that I respected from previous dealings there. He recommended this brand and model for what we needed and it has performed flawlessly in the two+ months we have had it and all previous problems are gone.

I live on the East Coast and getting a signal to the basement has been a challenge. I had an older ASUS Router and it was time to upgrade!! I have 2 kids who LOVE (and I mean LOVE) videos and online gaming over a wired or wireless connection. I needed a router that could keep up and going from a single core CPU router to a dual core with TWICE the throughput sounded like what I needed as my house has the following (all talking to my router): - 5 gaming systems (Xbox ones and 360’s) - 3 phones - 2 tablets - 4 TV's (wireless and LAN) - 1 Surround Sound system (firmware updates) - 2 laptops (depends on which kids happen to be home) - 1 Desktop machine Bottom line... I have a lot of things that have to talk to the router who are constantly chewing data. I needed more and I needed more fast! I had Netgear equipment in the past but returned them as they would just drop signal for no reason, reboot and it started working fine again for a little while. My ASUS that is being replaced this one with had started doing the same thing; however it was 4 yrs old. I bought this from my local Best Buy store as if it turned out to be a stinker I wanted to be able to take it back and not have to mess with shipping. The cooling of the router is amazing and it is very quite even when we're cranking multiple video streams to multiple devices throughout my house. I can also tell you that after getting it hooked up and set up I've noticed that even my wired LAN speed seems to be much smoother (not necessarily faster but smoother) than it was on my top-tier Asus router. Setup of this device was ridiculously easy. Actually easier than most other routers that I've set up over the years. So far this has been an absolute pleasure to work with! The smoothness of this router and the wireless speed I now get throughout the house is better than anything I’ve had before. I was going to keep my ASUS router and turn it into an AP point but with this router I don’t need to!! The only word of caution I have for Netgear is don't mess up the firmware updates! You put out a really nice product, probably the best product you have put out in several years... Don't mess it up! Again, if you're looking for a router that can handle all the devices that you have in your house especially when it comes to mobile and video you need to pull out your Visa and get this baby in your home. If you're in the market for a new router or you just need more than your current router can provide, so far, I have to recommend this router. I'm actually stunned it's this good.

So far this router has been a good upgrade from our Belkin. We upgraded our internet package and our old router couldn't handle the higher speeds. The Nighthawk came as a recommendation from a friend that is a long time Best Buy employee. The only issue I have with this router is the range...it's just not that great and not what I expected with a router of this price point. But, that is a minor issue. Otherwise the router has been great. Easy setup. Easy to interface with the router via the app. And it's allowed us to take advantage of our new, faster internet service.

Not a bad router. Speeds are what they should be (11 mbps upload 114 mbps download on Spectrum). A word of caution, DO NOT rely on firmware auto-update. I had an issue with the Internet connection dropping and having to reset the router. A call to Netgear Support showed tht there was a newer firmware version available even though the 'Auto-Update' said it had the latest version. I manually updated the firmware and issue resolved.

Easy set up. Can connect to WiFi everywhere in the house with a strong signal. No bottlenecks or slowdowns with multiple devices.

I purchased this to replace an old router that was beginning to give me slow speeds and spotty coverage. After installing this router I realized I should have replaced my router years ago, I now have no problem with speeds even when I have many devices connected at the same time.
