We got this Nighthawk AC1900 router this week to replace another brand that kept dropping signals. We're glad we did because this is functioning smoothly from the get-go. Cons(-ish): The speeds are good enough though not quite up to par, and we apparently need to adjust the settings, but there are good Netgear support documents online that we'll use to fine-tune. Their security software is offered as a paid subscription (can't find the price) after a free trial period of a month. Pros: Setup was easy even without their (optional) Genie's help, with clear instructions in a convenient pull-up menu. All devices connected promptly. The signal range is consistent and reliable. FWIW, the machine itself looks more streamlined than others in the same price range that look clunky. Most significantly, it's working as a good router should, with no glitches.

Needed new router and went with Netgear due to previous experience with other products. Decided to go with nighthawk because of easy of use and versatility.

This router has a 1 ghz processor and really is a dedicated computer meant to handle all the router tasks. I got it because I needed a router that could handle the faster uploads and downloads of my ISP, and also handle my house needs which is very heavy use involving at least 3 computers. This router has been up to the task and seems to allocate bandwidth to where it is needed. Compared to my previous router, it more quickly loads pages to watch from the internet. As a bonus, I am able to plug in a thumb drive (one with 120 gb of memory) and have this be a shared hard drive with the computers in my house and also with my brother who lives 14 hours away. All the functions are accessible through a browser page, whether or not I am online, and is fairly easy to set up. I have not used all the functions. I only need the router's handling of the upload and download traffic, wifi, and the shared hard drive. The only downside I find is that it was more spendy than any other router I have purchased before, being $150. I had paid, the most 90 dollars for my first one, and then bought used ones from $5 to $20. This one was a leap in my budget, but it did seem necessary and seemed to be worth it.

I bought this R7000 to replace an aging Netgear WNDR4300. It definitely has a lot of great features, better range, etc., but I had terribly slow Internet speeds.After a few weeks of fiddling around with it, I finally succumbed and called Netgear Tech Support. It took almost an hour, but the phone-call was worth it because she tweaked my settings and now I have my (Comcast) Blast speeds back! Bottom line: Great Router, just don't settle for factory settings. Call Tech Support and get direct help, it's well worth it! :-)

Was told this router would be perfect for the basic streaming needs of mine, and they were right! It’s very speedy and just a great buy.

We run a small business from our home that requires alot if usage on the internet. We have had no problems streaming or with casual use!

Really nice wifi router, easy to setup and use, my niece and nephews pretty much use the wifi part 24/7 playing dayz and lol with out any complaints, as a retiree from full time FPS games its a excellent router, I pretty much now just use it for email and work now.

great product. this replaced my old router which was also a netgear. It works great. I couldn't ask for a better product for the money. Setup was easy.

We purchased this when our old router wasn't able to keep up with 3 phones, ipod, iPad, PS4 and all the other electronic devices in the house! So far so good.

I bought this to replace a netgear that has done it's time. It was easy to set up with the Nighthawk app. The range is great and I was able to set different connection which I could disable whenever i wanted.

Definitely an improvement over my two year old dual band linksys router. Haven't had any problems despite high bandwidth usage and a lot of devices connected in our home.

My home is fairly large, I get full signal everywhere I go. It does take a while to completely boot though, but it is no concern of mine.

My router for biz blew up and replaced with this little beast. Easiest set up ever! Back up and running in less than an hour. Wireless range very impressive and married to my access point with no issue. Networking has always been a challenge, but Netgear has it finally figured out.

I purchased this after being assisted by a helpful young man. Must say I didn't want to spend what I spent but after his assistance I took a chance, figuring I would return it. Lo and behold I still have it...the signal is great, no one in the house has any lag and now that the internet speed has been upgraded to 100 mbps, I'm glad I have it, because it handles the speed nicely.

This has great range and coverage. Easy to set up and works great.

Recommended by the Best Buy consultant. I was looking to extend my wi-fi further into my yard and also help with streaming. This router did the trick. I am now able to receive my wi-fi signal to my fire pit and my streaming is much better than before. This router is great for my size house and for my usage. Would recommend this product.

Replaced an older router that although it worked I questioned how good it was. Night and day when this Nighthawk was up and running. What an improvement.

I used before Asus router and exchanged because it was broken. this Netgear is working perfectly. I like it better than the Asus, I highly recommend it.
