Tried out the Numerous routers over the years and Netgear leads the way. Family is very happy now- all 4 of us can get on with our lives without worrying about speeds!

An associate at Best Buy recommended this unit as I did not know which one to choose. It works very well an is quite fast. To my knowledge, no body has been kick off yet.

I just got a coupon for the Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router (R8000) - Black next one up. So returning this one for that. Hoping to get a little better range.

Our old router was underpowered for our internet signal, causing frequent interruptions during streaming. This router has solved that problem, and we have much more consistency of signal. Our primary use is for streaming TV shows and movies. Setup was straightforward.

I purchased this because my parents have the same one and the other reviews were positive. It was easy to install and get up and running. We do a lot of streaming and I have not had any issues with that. However, there have been a few times where our smartphones have not connected to the network even though they are set up to do so automatically. Not sure why that happened. Overall I am satisfied.

Almost everything I do involves the internet... so spending an extra 50 or 100 dollars on the best Router available is a wise investment as I see it. I thought I HAD the best router until the Geek Squad guy corrected me and suggested the Nighthawk. He was right. No more trouble getting Apple TV in the outside pool area (far from the router and extender). Thanks Geeks!

I'll start with the design it's sleek but it's pretty large, enough to set aside space for it. Set up was easy to connect to the modem and then connecting to the router. Configuration was easy to navigate through. Only complaint I have is the three antennas on the back. It doesn't do a good job staying in place. Just a small force is required to loosen it from the back. By small I mean really small. Not ideal if it gets accidentally bumped from the back.

Bought this after having very slow internet. Download and upload speeds have improved considerably as well as loading games and streaming in HD. Very happy with this product. Took a quick minute to setup, but worth it and pretty easy if you just follow the directions on the Nighthawk App.

Easy to setup and connect to. Having some difficulty with connecting things like camera's etc due to firewall ports between the regular router and this external one.

It cover entire of my house without any issue. No matter how many devices you have in your house, this will cover all without losing any connection.

Fast and powerful. I get speeds up and over 200 mb/s wirelessly throughout my 3000 sq/ft house whether I am on my phone or laptop browsing, or playing on my PS4. TV's connect immediately and have no buffering issues either. My wireless remote lights and thermostat also had no issues connecting.

Have this in my basement and I get great signal on my 2nd story bedroom. I replaced my old router with this and it fixed my signal issues. Works great.

I added this to my time warner router. I was getting lots of WiFi drops and dead spots. After hooking this up I get great coverage through out the house and much more reliable connection. We use it for Xbox, tablets, phones, rokus, etc. We noticed a considerable improvement in speeds and overall connection strength. We have a 2800sqft two story house in a densely populated neighborhood.

The device was easy to setup due to easy to follow instructions. Even advance tasks like port forwarding was intuitive and admin screens made sense.

Best thing I did was switching from a modem router combo to independents of each.. This wifi router has been running flawlessly for about 6 weeks now and there's nothing I can say bad about it... I cut out cable just before this purchase and it handles streaming on 2 tvs, our security system, thermostat, tablets, echo dot along with phones and lights

I am really pleased with this router. Setup was easy and the configuration software does all that I need it to do. Just hope it lasts a long time.

I've been a fan of Netgear in the past and they keep delivering with great products...I was replacing my parents A,B,G router and this one is a blazing fast upgrade!

Netgear Nighthawk is a great product. Dual band with guest access. Easy to setup. Circle with Disney capable tho I do not use it.

Needed to upgrade my network infrastructure to support streaming of music to a network audio player. This Netgear router filled the bill in two very important areas. One, by providing greater range and throughput, essential for streaming music via wireless connection at CD or better quality. And two, and just as importantly, allowing me to use a relatively inexpensive external hard drive plugged into its USB 3.0 port as a NAS (networked attached storage). I've been using this setup for over a month now to stream music via wireless connection to a Bluesound Node. Pros: Does the Job. Improved throughput for the entire network. NAS support. Very good and helpful Netgear phone support. Cons: As all the reviews will tell you - its a big sucker, takes up a lot of desk real estate. Documentation, in my opinion is a little lacking, especially in the area of utilizing network attached storage, but to their credit Netgear support was very helpful in overcoming this shortcoming. Overall I'm very happy and would rate this product at 4.5 stars.

I had a really out dated router that kept dropping wifi signal. Since I switch to this router I haven't had any lost connection. Worth the money!!
