What can I say? So sad I didn’t do this before! I moved from a 2200 ft2 house with a Nighthawk AC1900 in the central location, to a 3200 ft2 house with a wierd layout. I needed strong signal in the 3 distant corners of the house. The Nighthawk did ok, but not good enough. I tried the local cable companies access points. The signal was decent, but kept dropping off and I was constantly resetting the access points. I had the cable company out to the house countless times. I did the research, and had Geek squad come out and give me a free eval. I was leaning towards the Velop. He told me he had better luck with the Orbi in his experience. I was reluctant, but gave it a shot when I saw this on Black Friday deal. It’s been almost one month, and I could not be happier! The signal is strong in every square inch of my house and out in the yard. Each orbi has 4 plug ins to hard wire internet access, so I can hard wire my XBox and BluRay players. The speed is consistent everywhere! I have not had a single signal drop yet. I am so glad I took his advise! Would highly recommend this system for anyone with a home where a single router is not quiteenough.

We have a long house, and no matter where we put the router, we couldn’t get wi-if in all the rooms we used our computers and tablets. I asked Geek Squad to come evaluate our needs, and they recommended the Orbi. Now we have great WiFi throughout the house and on the porches. Wonderful!

Have struggled with wifi strength for years. Tried many net gear products in the past. The Orbi AC2200 is amazing. It triangulates with three units. Amazing coverage at 5500 sq ft.

I had a problem reaching all the tv’s in the house with a strong signal. The ORBI reaches everywhere in the house and even covers the outside pool area.

You WILL NOT go wrong with the purchase of this ORBI mesh system. This system has blanketed my entire house with full speed Wi-Fi (Spectrum 200MBS in my area). Most routers reduce the speeds of you incoming signal, not this system. I even have Wi-Fi out to my shop that is over 30 yards away and going through 2 internal walls and a brick exterior wall. BUY IT!! You will not be disappointed!!

I live in a house which is 3100 Sf, and the wifi signal has always been an a problem in our home. When the mesh technology, for non-commercial use, was first introduced through Eero, I was excited and thought that my wifi problems were solved. I purchased a three pack Eero. The initial Eero which was setup next to the cable modem had no issues, however as the other two Eeros were setup throughout the house, the speed began to degrade. As time went by, the Eeros' performance worsened. The Eeros also ran extremely hot to the point, that one of the units burned out. I next purchased the Luma system. Lumas were awful off the get go. I get 200 Mbps through my local ISP. The Lumas never exceeded a 75 mbps download speed. I finally purchased the Linksys Velop. The Velop, initially, worked great however, as time passed the speeds began to drop, and the three unit pack was not performing as advertised. My son complained that he was experiencing lag while playing online games on his Xbox 1. There was always a delay, and buffering when watching YouTube and Netflix, through the third Velop node which was located in the family room at the other end of the house. I then bought the Netgear Orbi, AC300 two unit set. The Orbi worked great, but the signal completely dropped in the living room where a wifi enabled TV, along with the Ring doorbell is located. just to note, that there was no Orbi Satelite setup in the living room. I returned the AC3000, and bought the Orbi AC2200 three pack. I have not yet been disappointed. Speed tests are constant with a 238 Mbps download and a 12 Mbps upload. The speed test has been consistent throughout the house. I have owned the AC2200, three pack, for a week, and the Orbis run cool, and the their performance is getting better. In my opinion, and someone making a point through personal experience, I believe that the Orbi AC3000 is an overkill. The three pack AC2200 is the perfect solutions for any person who owns an architecturally challenged home.

    EASY SETUP. It works!

Out of the box setup is a breeze. Includes simple setup instructions for web based or App. Love the fact there is a single Network name and sign on for all devices throughout the home now. Previously with our range extenders we had three different network names in the house. Problem is now solved with Orbi. The speed test built into the App is excellent. The 3 piece 2200 model covers our 2,000 sq ft home well. We have gone cable-free. Constant demand for bandwidth via Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV in multiple rooms throughout our home. With the 3 piece Orbi solution, and AT&T fiber we have great streaming picture quality in every room. One of the satellites seemed to have a difficult time staying connected. I moved it to a wall outlet on the near side of the room about 8 feet closer to the router location, synced again, and it is working great now. The room is directly behind a bathroom with tile up the walls. I think the satellite was having a tough time in the original location I plugged it in. All is well with the slight adjustment of location. Disclaimer. I received this unit at no cost for trial. I would purchase, and definitely would recommend to friends and family.

In October of 2017, I reviewed the Orbi online and in the store prior to purchase. I also reviewed other Wifi products at the same time. Based on the reviews and the help of the salesperson in the store, who appeared to be somewhat knowledgeable about the product and other Wifi products, I purchased the Netgear Orbi Wifi system. I made the right choice. The Orbi was so simple and easy the set up, that I thought I had missed something. This system can literally be set up and working within 15 minutes of arriving home from the store. Basically place and connect your router and satellites, download the app, set it up, and you're off and running. The coverage, signal strength, connectivity and speed of the system is amazing. I am extremely satisfied with the Orbi so far. This system is almost like magic. So far the purchase has been well worth the money. I would highly recommend the Orbi! If you are having trouble with Wifi signal strength, speed, connectivity, reliability, the Netgear Orbi Wifi system is a must. I works just as it says that it will. Extremely pleased with the Orbi!!!

I had the basic set up with a wireless router, but had added range extenders to get coverage to the whole house. It worked but extenders cut the bandwidth in half. Not anymore. I have the router in the basement and one satellite on each of the other two floors. My signal is much stronger. I even get great coverage on my screened porch which required an extender with my other system. I like that the satellites have wired ports. I am using one of these to hook up to my stereo internet juke box in the living room which doesn't have wi-fi. Previously I had to use a Powerline adapter which would lose connection sometimes. The system was easy to set up. The hardest part was re-configuring all the wireless devices again. YMMV. Biggest gripe is there is no way to turn off 802.11b. In fact no way to turn off any spectrum. You only have one SSID. I am used to knowing if I am on 2.4 or 5G. However, my only 2.4G only devices are my house thermostats, so no big deal. Just the geek in me. Hopefully there will be firmware updates to allow more user configuration.

    Love my Orbi's!

This is a very easy product review for me to write! I live in a 3 story home (basement, first and second floors), I have a 3 stall garage there I like to stay connected and an external fire pit where I need connectivity to stream music. Normal routers have not been able to do the job, and the Netgear Orbi system easily handles the task. Eliminate deadspots with this mesh-based system and you won't regret it! I did have a slight complication during setup - which required my to factory reset one of the satellites before it would connect appropriately. That was all accomplished within 15 minutes...including setting up all three devices and watching the Orbi ring so I knew the color pattern. Blue is good. Speedtests have been impressive - as well i as the mobile app that allows me to see the devices connected. I've used both the mobile app and the web page. It's awesome that the satellites have 4 wired ports on them - I have my Chamberlain MyQ garage door setup on the one that is closest to the garage - as well as my Netgear Alro camera base unit. It really helps to get those out of the basement to improve their range! Overall - I love this unit. It is now my standard home router that I recommend to my family and friends. Don't be afraid - try the next generation in home wireless networks! Go mesh!

Easy to set up. App is very user-friendly. I have a house that is 5000 ft.² covers all areas of the house out onto the deck and all around the house. Speeds are excellent, no lack of coverage. Best mesh system currently out. Satellites do not have the drop off of speed that other mess systems have. Would highly recommend. Love that I can control the kids use of WiFi

I recently purchased this to fix my Wi-Fi problem in our large house and i must say it changes our life we are a large family with 3 kids streaming everything and i am a gamer my self but could only play in one room of our house where the main router is and we were using the plug in extended but they would never work good enough to watch a movie without buffering or lagging game play so I decided to try this but the price was up there so I was hesitant but I'm glad I did it works so well since purchasing it my house has full internet and outside all the way to my neighbors house at full speed (96mbs) it covers really far and since it streams so well we have cxl our cable and steam tv now and just pay for internet that saving alone will pay for the device in 4 months well worth the purchase it can handle a ps4 2 tvs streaming movies 1 laptop and one tablet and no one is complaing. The 4 star is because I wish it had parent controls but still satifed hopefuly it will come in a update. Hope this helps and saves u money as well

Simple Install, Working like a Champ

Install was easy...used the iPhone app, scanned the QC code and followed the instructions. Plugged in the two satellites, connected the base unit to the modem (after restarting it, as instructed), plugged in the base unitl, logged in, and it set everything up. Once set up, I used the app to give the network my own name, and chose my own password. It updated the satellites quickly. I then used the app to set up a guest network (which you can do with or without a password). That was set up. 20 minutes, max. I then went to every device, chose the new network, and logged in. I had forgotten a few (like my 2 garage door openers), but have them all updated now. Use: So far, the speed and connectivity is fantastic. AppleTV and Netflix streaming well, all devices are working well. I read about some complaints earlier this year about devices losing connection, but there appears to have been a software update in July that fixed it. While I usually update software quickly, for a network, I think I'll wait to see how new updates take....I've always done that for networks.

Good WiFi -- But Not for Amazon Echo Devices

For plain, old home WiFi with no special requirements this is a good product. It provides a very strong signal and is reasonably easy to set up. If you have specific requirements -- if you need to be able to do band-steering for your WiFi devices, for example -- this isn't the WiFi system you're looking for. In particular, the Orbi will simply not work with Amazon Echo Dot devices. I have eight Echo devices around the house. My 'original' Echo and my Echo Show connected to the WiFi on Orbi. None of the Echo Dots would connect -- not a single one of them. This was true even after deregistering them from Amazon and doing a factory rest on the Dot devices. I returned the Orbi and bought the Eero mesh instead -- it worked with the Echo devices immediately.

I tried this product on a whim just to see if it would work before we ran hardwired wifi repeaters throughout our facility. It works great! we at run 30-40 devices at a time over the network with no noticeable lags. Speed is great and the overall coverage is excellent.

The Netgear Orbi is great for larger homes with WiFi deadspots. We were getting 2-3 mbps in some areas, now at least 250 and upwards of 450 mbps throughout the whole house. Have had no connectivity issues and was easy to setup.

I went in to initially buy the Google mesh system, but wasmy totallly sold. I wanted something that could integrate to already existing “home technology” I had in my house. I know it’s just the router, but connectivity and ease of use is very important. I kept that in mind when making my decision. Upon some further research I discovered that the Orbi system was much more capable of supporting a home over 3500 sq feet. I also wanted something that could cover my patio. I opted for the 3 unit system and have connectivity in my home, on my patio, and some parts of my back yard. In fact, it’s pretty much reliable all over my property. The unit size is a little big, but not unattractive. That’s a very small downside.

I have had wifi problems forever. I don't have a large home (2200 sq ft), but our downstairs is hollow tile concrete blocks, and every room upstairs has mirrored closet doors. The combination of the two is a nightmare for wifi. I have tried all different brands of routers, linksys, apple extreme, t-p link, apple express, night hawk, wireless access points, signal boosters, signal repeaters....you name it, and i bought it, and many of them were daisy-chained together by hardwire, and i still was not able to get a consistent signal throughout our house. I finally bought the Orbi 3 pack (which was a little overkill for our 2200 sq ft house), but I am glad that i did. We now have consistent signal throughout house, with wifi connection speeds of 350 down, and 25 up....over wifi...its unbelievable, in the past i couldn't even get those speeds if I was hardwired into the router. on average we have about 20 devices connected to the router. when the kids are home, watching tv, netflix, playstation..etc....we have about 36 devices simultaneously connected. even with 30+ devices, we are still able to maintain 300+ mbs down and 20 mbs up. Its a little pricey, but I am very happy with my purchase.
