I had a different brand that was very expensive but I had issues with the wifi just dropping and the wired connections were still functioning. I decided to give Orbi a shot and I am glad I did. Everything was simple to setup and get going. I haven't had wifi issues at all. I know some folks state they had issues with setting it up but it was up and going in 5 minutes. I think a lot of people forget to power cycle the modem with the orbi just connected so it clears the cache on the modem and connect up the new router. I am impressed with it I am getting my entire speed through it from my cable provider and even a little bit more. If you like things that you can setup and forget about it this is the route to go.

I’ve had this for about 2 1/2 weeks and no signal drop since setting it up.Been looking for a really good router but not at a crazy price, the Orbi went on sale for 50% off and it was a no Brainer for me to pick one up! The setup was easy and very user friendly.

I have Xfinity 1.2 gig internet with the XB8 Gateway. I have a 3,000 sq. Ft. Two story smart home with around 60 devices. The Xfinity Gateway does a good job upstairs but falls short on downstairs coverage. I have tried just about every mesh system out there and none have performed like the 860. The Xfinity Gateway does not like to run in bridge mode as it’s constantly self diagnosing itself and kicks the mesh system offline. So I have to run the 860 in Access Point Mode. I have a 2.5 gb Switch thats connected to the 2.5 gb port (the red one) on the gateway and then have the 860 connected vie Ethernet to the switch. I get over 800 mbs down and 39 mbs up when 5ft away using my iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Speedtest App. My coverage now extends into my backyard which is approximately 4,000 sq. Ft. This router is beast and I highly recommend it.

Great buy! Goes on sale a lot, so you can get a lot of value out of these. Had some issues at first with my connection dropping from my devices, and then had a day during this time period where it got stuck in a firmware update and wouldn't detect my internet connection. Factory reseting the device and going through set up completely solved all my issues, and since then my connection has been flawless! Easy fix for something that had me doubting my purchase at first. Firmware updates being automatic can be annoying due to issues like what I listed above. But going through set up again to solve the problem isn't the worst. Set up is pretty easy, but you do have to use the Orbi app to get everything going. The app is simple to use and is nice to have access to, so I don't have many complaints on that end personally. I work from home, do a lot of streaming, game, and have a lot of smart devices. I just have the main satellite in my household, since I live in a 1000 sq ft apartment and it handles the coverage with no issues. The ability to create a VPN is also an added plus, even though it's not a feature I've utilized entirely. I don't have a use for another satellite right now, but if I did I would snag another one with these going on clearance at the moment I'm writing this due to the WiFI 7 model releasing.

This is an excellent and fast router but the automation does have a downfall. The auto-assignment of which band a device is connected to, makes it very difficult to connect a system like Sonos. Sonos needs all speakers and devices on the same band in order for them to work together. The Orbi will assign the band IT thinks is the best and it will probably be on different bands so the system won’t see the different components and won’t work. And there is no way to manually alter the assignment that I could find. Unless you are very skilled in IT and router set-up, think twice about an Orbi system.

Speed, range and consistency!! Exactly what I needed. We have a 2650 sq ft home, so I bought after many youtube video reviews watched on Netgear snd other brands. I planned to add Satellites once the 860’s were available, but from a central point i have coverage arcoss my wholr home. Works great and easy set up!

Fast and clean design. Well worth the price. Had a small issue with hook up. Enjoy the speed and no dropping wi fi signals. My older unit was put to shame. Happy with the unit.

This router has been a huge improvement. we have a long house, I am personally farther away from the router. We are not that computer savvy, and have required tech support from Netgear. It is hit or miss depending on who answers the call. Last call did get things up and running well. They will try to sell two years of live tech support at a so called discount flat rate of $69. Unfortunately only 3 months is included. I suspect I am not getting the most out of my router, and may opt into that, something I rarely do. Make sure you know the router is the satellite, and does not include another one. I expect this review is not helpful at all to someone that knows they're doing. The router has improved things quite a bit, and was on sale for about $200.

Everything seemed great until we tried to print something. Although it recognized the printer, it wouldn't communicate with it even with much help from Netgear support. It was returned and replaced with the Nighthawk Pro Gaming AX5400. Easy setup, super-fast, great range, compatible with all devices and gamers are happy!

This is amazing. I love it. Works like a charm and the speeds up/down are in the 370-380 it actually says your up and download speeds are extremely fast. Hands down the best. Also a very nice touch is that the lights on it are very minimal and it’s not bothersome at all. Works like a charm and it’s amazing.

Love the ORBI routers this is actually the second one I purchased over the years just updated to one that was fiber internet compatible. This are super easy to set up.
