Only good for apartments or non-gamers

I bought this adapter after reading multiple reviews saying that this adapter couldn't reach the advertised 1200 Mbps, but could easily reach half of that. Since I pay for 300 Mbps and was tired of having a Cat6 Cable stretched down the hallway, I decided to try and make the jump to this adapter. Worst decision I've made in a while. My network speed tests max during non-peak hours at 57 Mbps download, with frequent dropouts and delays. I've tried moving it to different circuits and dedicated power outlets, all with no luck on improving the speed. At this point my wifi is better. I'll be returning this tomorrow. If you only need 30-50 Mbps for your streaming TVs, this may work for you. It does not work for heavy gaming and programming work.

These adapters are inconsistent at best. I have one in the office where the internet comes into the house and then the other in the living room for my htpc. The problem is that, while the lights stay green the whole time, the htpc constantly loses internet. I have tried unplugging them, turning security on, turning it off, and nothing seems to help. It is just very inconsistent and I would not recommend them for anything but light usage where you don't need constant internet.

Read reviews that the age of the wiring in the home could affect the performance so I didn’t think there would be much of an issue in my 2 year old home. Apparently the only way to get decent performance is to plug both adapters into the same circuit/room which defeats the purpose. My results with AT&T Gigapower 1000/1000 were 50mbps up/down and even this was inconsistent. Returned this item for refund.

This was for a shed 45 feet from the house and wired through the house main box. It's instructions warn of reduced speeds, but from 175Mbps to 11Mbps is too much. It may have been better if in the house but that wasn't what I needed. I returned it and bought a signal repeater that works great.

I was looking to upgrade from an older Amped extender and tried Netgear's newest offering. In all aspects Netgear delivered poorer results. I returned it for credit and am happy with what I have. Too bad Netgear doesn't deliver as it advertises.

It didn't help me get better connection. My "bars" actually go down when I plug in. Even when I'm in the room with my internet! What's up with that? If I could find my receipt, I'd return it.

This was an in store recommendation. We have been plagued with weak and erratic wifi signal at some of the areas farthest from the gateway. I was assured that this device was the answer. It was not. I did like the idea of being able to move the unit to different outlets and having an indicator of which outlet would give the best results. Good idea, they should work on perfecting it.

I had too return this product because it gave me worse connection than my wifi. The only time I got a good connection was when I had nothing plugged into the front of either of them. Why make the option too plug my surge protector strip into the front if it refuses too work properly with anything plugged in? Stuuupid!

In short, my connection was awful and its performance was awful. I would not recommend this item to anyone! I would rather someone go online and buy a Linksys powerline adapter. I've used those in the past and they even perform better than this for less than half the price!

Wanted to extend my Wi-Fi to a deck that was not reachable with a Wi-Fi range extender. Was able to get connectivity to the deck but when I connected a wireless access point my whole network went haywire. Had to disconnect and reset every single device. It happened each time I tried it.

Porbably the worst product I have ever bought. It claims gigabit speed and I could not even get 20Mbps on outlets next to each other. It should tell you when the status lights are in the realm of 80Mbps and below. Thank you BedtBuy for no hassle returns.

For my household the Powerline 1200 did not make any difference at all. We followed the directions. We continued to have the same problems we had before we installed it. I read reviews and saw that it worked for some people, it did not work for us.

The device is very limited and does not offer much in terms of its restrictions on the box. Works well if both are plugged into the same room. It will blow a fuse if you run it 2 or more rooms over. They should be on the same fuse.

I have a Netgear ac1900 in my closet & hooked this up to connect an Ethernet directly to my laptop & it actually ran slower than my WiFi. I get about 300 mbps wirelessly & this ran at about 100.

After an hour of trying I contacted net gear support. They did find troubleshooting and decided I got a bad extender. I will probably try one more time.
