It took an act Of Congress to get them replaced. Also they do not advertise That the remote view feature does not work with windows OS.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just completed installing the 5mp Night Owl system with 8 cameras. I love this system but in my review I thought it would be helpful to discuss the install and setup process which will answer some questions. Everything worked out of the box. The hardest part is to run the wires to the location of the box. Still not very complex but I hired a handyman to do that part and it was money well spent. I setup an old computer display to get it going. You need a computer or a TV to set the system up. Then you can do your iPhone, Ipad, Android, and/or computer. It took a little hunting down to find the PC based app from Night Owl. The IOS apps were easy to find on the app store. My old TV only supported 720P and did not work. The old computer monitor used VGA so that got the job done for setup. It comes with a wired mouse and I will replace that with a wireless mouse. I wanted to view on my main internet capable TV but they do not have a television or browser based app. To view on a TV you need to use the HDMI connection. Since my TV is in a different room I looked into an HDMI wireless bridge. This should work but the bridge only supports 1080p so the resolution may not be very good. If I can find a HD capable HDMI wireless bridge and get the 5mp that would be fantastic, In contacting support they never heard of a wireless HDMI bridge so I suggested they pass along the idea to their engineering team. In all the install went smoothly. As for operation it is pretty straight forward. The video quality is fantastic. I did finding switching between cameras a little cumbersome. That may be just me getting used to where to tap or click. I currently use a PC, Ipad, iPhoneX, and a direct connect computer monitor. Overall I this this system works great and is well worth the money.
