A must if you have any other Nikon Glass. This will accept and F-Mount lenses from previous Nikon bodies. The Z Series lenses are not fully stocked all the time so the ability to have existing lenses work with the Mirrorless cameras is nice

I love that I can use my F mount lenses on my new Z6. I do however, hate that I have to remove my Peak Design plate from the bottom of my camera to do so. Hopefully Nikon will redesign the FTZ soon to resolve this. I contemplated returning the FTZ because of this, but I especially want to use my 200-500mm on my Z6 occasionally. For the most part, the 200-500 will stay on my D500.

When purchased my Z fc decided to get this adapter since I have many F mount lenses. No regrets. Now I am able to use all the F lenses I have on this Z mount body and saved me a lot of money and frustration. It works as expected. The Nikon Support site has the full list of compatible lenses and there are a lot of them.

This thing is a life-saver and cost saver! Pretty much every modern lens I've tried works flawlessly on the Z50. Got it for $99 when purchased with the camera body. So that was cool. The F lenses are so much cheaper than the Z lenses so this saves $! Very happy!

The FTZ adapter is a good unit to own if you upgraded to a Nikon Z series camera. It pretty much can adapt to almost every Nikon lens for your new Z camera. Nikon has a guide on their website that can help you find your lens and see it it will work with the adapter and the Z camera. I used this with a Nikon 50mm lens for about a week and decided that I will just stick with buying Z lenses and returned the adapter to Best Buy. Seems that Best Buy considers this piece to be a 'lens' and charged me a 15% restocking fee. Needless to say, I argued the point and lost. I do not consider this to be a lens, it's an ADAPTER not a lens but Best Buy wants that 15% so I'm now buying my photography equipment through KEH or MBP.

Thank you Nikon for making this adapter and not forcing people to start buying all new lenses for a new mount. Although I did get the 24-70 f4s and the 50mm f1.8s and I love them. But, I will still be able to mount all of my other lenses on the Z 6. I love this ability. It seems to be made well. I have only used it a couple of times and it worked very well. The only bummer; 1 month or so after I bought this, Nikon began to include them with the Z series cameras.

Not much to say here. It does what it's supposed to do. I'm able to use my F-Mount Nikon lenses on my Z-Mount camera. It adds a little bulk to the camera, but not heavy or anything. There is ZERO image degradation. The price wasn't bad since they knocked off $150 when bundled with the camera, but on its own I think it's easy overpriced for what it does.

I bought this to go with my new Nikon Z6. I already had a large arsenal of lenses for my prior DSLR and there was no way I was replacing them all. This thing is perfect. While it does add some size and heft to the camera, it seamlessly allows you to use lenses normally not meant for a mirrorless camera.

This adapter fits fast and easy into the camera and allows the non-Z series lenses to slide on fast. The quality of the images when using my D750 and Z7 are the same and it didn't affect the sharpness or speed for my use. I normally use it with the 24-70mm 2.8 lens for events and so far so good.

Works as advertised to allow use of older Nikon lenses with the new Nikon Z6/Z7. Easily attaches to the Z camera, has an extra button for attach and release of old Nikon lens. If you buy with Z camera, there's a substantial discount as of 8/2020.

I use this on my Z6 and Z7ii. It is great that I can use all my F mount lenses. Although I plan to upgrade most of my F mounts to Z lenses, this helps work through the painful process of giving up my money for the new lenses. The good F mount lenses focus fast and is consistently in focus. Video can be a little tricky if you use auto focus. The F mounts are more noisy than the Z lenses and you can most likely pick up focus sounds if you use the camera mic or camera mounted mic. Since I usually use wireless lavs for my applications, not an issue. Also depending on the lens, you can get a little focus finding if your subject steps out of frame and then back in. I anticipate that issue and tap the screen to get quick focus on something so that it is not that impactful to the video. More classic lenses can be used to get that "old feel" to your shots and video. Overall great addition to the Z cameras if you have older F mount lenses.

I went from a D series full frame camera to a Z series and got this to be able to still use my old lenses. It works as it should and my lenses function perfectly with this. The only drawback is that it adds so much weight to the set up that it ends up being just as, if not heavier than the D series with lens.
