The Super Mario Odyssey coin came inside a plastic coin case inside a plastic wrap bag thing. I haven't opened the baggie. Leaving it alone for now. Not sure if it is real gold or not, but if I discover that it is, I will probably sell it. otherwise, it will be remain displayed on a shelf. It was FREE for pre-ordering Odyssey game. Everyone in my sphere of influence is extremely jealous.

It's a super Mario Odyssey coin. It's kind of cool but you can probably only spend it in some magical place of mushrooms and princesses and former plumbers and weird lizard dudes and so many moons it'll have you smacking yourself awake goin Mama Mia!! That's a lot of moonsa!!!

This is a heavy duty coin, not cheap plastic but made out of metal and is the size of a half dollar coin, By far the best pre-order item i have ever seen, and i use to be a manager at GameStop. Good job BestBuy!

I really loved the quality of the product. The material is perfect, not too heavy but also not too cheap. The color silver makes it look just perfect and the impression of Super Mario looks awesome. My son loved it !

The coin I received was pretty cool it was free so that’s even better.

I didn't even know I was receiving this coin until about a week before release when Best Buy updated me to say it was added to my order. Out of curiosity more than anything, I anticipated this coin almost as much as my copy of Mario Odyssey itself, especially since they shipped in separate packages from seemingly the same warehouse. This coin must be amazing to warrant such treatment. And it was. Around the size of a half dollar coin, this presumably gold colored coin comes in a little baggy with one of those plastic coin cases for the coin itself. Weighty and probably good for standing smugly at the corner of a saloon and flipping with my hat tipped down and an unlit cigarette in my mouth. I've simply hung it on the wall next to my amiibos. A reminder, that I own a coin.

This Mario coin deserves a coin five. It looks like a real coin. It’s round like a circle if you look at it straight on. Sideways looks like a gold line and no coin. You can flip it if you take it out of the plastic case. I flipped it in the case. Not inside the case but with the plastic case on it. Don't open the wrapper if you want it to stay collectible. It's a nice little coin housed in a plastic case, not much else to say about it. This seems like a strange product to review given that it was included with Mario Odyssey for free. I give it five starts because I got two of them for some reason (I pre-ordered the game - one coin was delivered to my house through the mail, the other was attached to my copy of the game when I picked it up from Best Buy). Also, props to Best Buy for even including the coins. I have a friend who bought Mario Odyssey from Game Stop and he didn't get a coin or any other pre-order bonus at all. I will probably give him my "surplus" coin so he doesn't feel left out.

These collectible coins are fabulous! The heft and weight are nice and it's adorned with the game's signature logo on one side and it's depiction of the globe on the other. It certainly is not a cheap-o, poorly made dust collector that come as a "pre-order bonus" for a lot of other games. Both it and the collectible coin that was offered when Breath of the Wild released both celebrate the two newest and phenomenal entries into Nintendo's most beloved franchises. I would love to see more of these for other series, like maybe the Kirby series? Regardless. A nice piece of merch.

Sure other places offered a hat as a preorder incentive, but best buy offered this limited coin, on top of their GCU discounts. Not only did us gamer club members receive our usual 20% discount, but we also received these awesome looking collectibles. The coins are very similar to the ones that came with the special edition of Breath of The Wild, or the preorder bonus for Mario Galaxy way back in the day. Sure, those came in fancier packaging, but the quality of the coin is the same. It's a free bonus, giving it anything shy of 5/5 is an insult.

This is a nice collectible token if you are a Mario fan and have grown up on the series. It is heavier than I expected for a pre-order freebie. I don't expect it to be worth anything, but it is a nice trinket nonetheless. I had a happy accident that the local store where I picked up the game had taped one to the front even though I had the coin shipped because it was not available to pickup at the time of pre-order. That was a happy accident. I had originally ordered before the coin was made available and had to cancel and reorder to have it listed in the summary. Looking forward to Mario's latest adventure to save the Princess.

What can I say about the super Mario odyssey commemorative coin that hasn’t been said before it is honestly life-changing and the greatest decision I ever made was to purchase this before this coin. in my life I was struggling with depression but now that I have it it has cut through the darkness and sadness like a lighthouse to a lost mariner this may be the finest product ever created in the history of man, it cooks, it cleans, it levels houses in seconds honestly writing this review is difficult in English because I only have one year of college education and therefore I am not acquainted with the dictionary well enough to know the words needed describe this life-saving miracle now that it is in my life Every day is a gift that I look forward to because I know I will be able to see my super Mario odyssey commemorative coin .

Sometimes you may get a nice surprise or other bonus items. Don't forget to join the Gamer's Club. You can save 20% on new orders or new games. It pays for itself in no time.

I'm glad I got this coin as a pre-order bonus--I was planning to buy this coin individually when I first heard of it, but now it seemed so sensible to pre-order. Seriously, the price for sell is as expensive as the game. The coin itself is good with a protective plastic case, but the plastic sleeve seemed a little too cheap. Well, I got this coin for free so I'm not really complaining, but for those who are buying this at $60, they might be expecting a more fancy package.

Wasn't expecting this but I pre-ordered and when I stopped by to pick up my game this wonderful little coin was accompanying my purchase. It's a sturdy collectable with a great finish. I myself am a collector and am pleased with the finish on this. Great for displaying. I'm sure this will get lost with all of Nintendo's other tiny collectable obscurities but you can't deny that Nintendo's fans are the best and if that's you I'm sure you'll appreciate this tidbit.

This coin came with my pre-oder of Mario Odyssey and I think it was nice thing to include with the game. I would not recommend on spending any money only on this coin, if possible.

It's a free a coin you get from purchasing Super Mario Odyssey. Who doesn't like free stuff included in the stuff you buy? The kicker is that it's worth as much as the game ($60!). So melt it down because it's probably made out of real gold and resell it in the open gold market for a higher profit. Or keep it because it has the little hat guy from the game and he might be trapped in the coin because he possesses things that you throw him at.

I had pre-ordered the game only to discover that this was coming along with it. Best Buy automatically included it after emailing me to let me know that even though I had pre-ordered the game before this coin was announced that I would still get it. It came in a little plastic Mario wrapper and has a little protector to hold the coin. It's much nicer than I expected. At the end of the day it's just a coin, but it's still neat to have.
