    1) Norton Security (with or without LifeLock) is a good product. But when it comes bundled with mediocre add-ons such as VPN and Password Vault for a higher price, it is no longer a good deal. 2) In addition, Norton forces the user to lock into automatic renewals at a higher price than what it would cost to buy a new subscription. 3) Norton doesn't disclose upfront that there's an additional charge for activating a LifeLock subscription. 4) After downloading and installing the software, Norton keeps upselling additional subscriptions to various components.

      Hi Dmavin - Sorry for the confusion. Clearing up a couple of points for you:
      2. Although Norton does require auto-renewal with license activation, you can immediately turn A/R off. Although we feel it’s less convenient, you can purchase a retail subscription every year if so desired.
      3. LifeLock Identity Advisor is fully licensed with this product for one year - there is no additional charge for ID Advisor. - DWN Symantec

    Norton wanted $124.99 to renew the subscription I had with them. I paid $30 for it one year ago, granted it protected 10 devices, but I was only using it on 2... They offered $59.99 for 5 device coverage, but for me this 3 device with LifeLock is an awesome value at $49.99 only at Best Buy...Pays to watch for their exclusive sales!!!

    I love Norton antivirus with LifeLock it helps me with my password it helps me with multiple devices my tablet my phone and my computer and they’re all connected and if a product gets lost or stolen I’m able to locate it and put a freeze on it and find out where it is so the police can get involved and get my product back and the person can get in trouble but it scans every single day it is set to scan at 5 AM it takes 20 minutes to do a deep dive scan. There are so many parts of the antivirus regarding my cachet regarding programs that help use files I don’t use Files that are too big and helps me keep my devices clean up to date so they will last me a long time. It has come a long way since I first got 20 years ago I will continue to use Norton

    Was lured to Norton by the introductory price and the salesperson "estimate" that the yearly price would be "around $35" annually. Turns out it is over $120. Also there are regular pop ups announcing all these horrible threats to your system that you can resolve by coughing up another $60 instantly. This computer is less than 2 months in service and the most recent pop up tells me I have threats numbering in the thousands that I need to throw money at so I am left wondering if Norton is doing anything at all. I started to look into canceling this but, surprisingly, it appears that this will be a challenge to find a way to kill it. I suspect they hope people will just give up and let it roll over but I have most of a year before it runs out and will obsess on canceling it until I drive a stake through it's heart.
