I bought this because it was on sale, and I figured I could always use another color light in the house. It's well built, easy to set up, however you have to keep in mind that it's an older generation. The colors are pretty great, but greens are really lacking. The main issue I had was my fault, not Philips, and it was the shape and size of this bulb. I knew it was different, but thought it would fit in one of a few places. Unfortunately the width was too large to fit in my outdoor porch light, then the length was too short to screw into a flood light I had inside. The only place I could fit it was in a weird lamp, but hey, that works... Been functioning perfectly, and love the voice control. Again, greens are junk, so stay away from that color (more like a yellow trying really hard to be greenish).

I bought several of these thinking they would be fun for our kids , but they really shouldn’t be used as direct light for multi colors. The combination of brightness and color used in common usage for these is hard on the eyes, and unnatural to look at. I would recommend them if the light is diffused somehow or used as an accent light or bias lighting. Though other styles of product would be better suited for that

Got these on sale for $24 each which is a good value for this product. Gen 3 are better (this is gen2) but Gen3 rarely go on sale. These just have bad greens and blues are mediocre, but I knew that before buying. I would not recommend spending more than $25 each.

These have made my life better exponentially. Those times you want a mood, they are perfect. Those times you crawl into bed and forget to turn off a night. Not an issue anymore... pair with Alexa to make it even better handsfree!

For those ceiling recessed lighting fixtures, the Hue White & Color Ambiance BR30 smart LED bulb is the natural solution. BR30 gets the job of coverage, color or white, and ability to dim...great buy.

These “Hue” flood lights are not the same as the ones sold in the store. The website shows that the look the same. Description is the same, purple box. They are very cheap and generic. Come in a white box, unlike the original Hue lights. Half the colors are washed out or do not even work. You cannot get any shade of green. At best you will get lemon lime look. Yellow, blue, and orange-red are about the only colors that change. Stay clear and by the other version in stores.

I set the hue app to turn these lights on slowly in the morning 30 min before my alarm and it always wakes me before my alarm goes off. Much more general way to wake up

Like others in the review mentioned, box wasn’t like the one pictured but it did mention in listing that it was 2nd generation. Light has issues setting to blue. But you can’t complain too much with it’s price on deal of the day.

Working well so far so good. No issues. Linked it with other bulbs and it works fine.

This is NOT the version shown. It is a repackaged set of the 2nd gen version of the bulbs. Why Best Buy would create a 2nd listing of the 2nd gen bulbs showing the 3rd gen bulbs is beyond me. I expected more from them than to trick people in to getting an inferior and out dated product.

Excellent product. Connects seamlessly and is just beautiful.

Although it's a bit pricey, it's still a great product.

I am very happy that these bulbs became available to install throughout our home that can make it very convenient for us on our daily living basis

I love hue and the convenience of being able to control all the lights in the house with my voice or phone.

Looked up the model number and it's not the right version, it's an older one. I already installed it and it doesn't look like my other lights.
