I Never Knew What I Was Missing Before These!

For the past almost 10 years I have been running small satellite speakers for all three of my home theater setups. I never knew how much sound I was missing out on until I bought these. I went back and forth about purchasing more expensive ones from Klipsch or Pioneer Elites, but the more I researched these Pioneer Andrew Jones the more I chose to take a leap of faith on them without even hearing them. For the rave reviews they get and the cheap price, how could I not at least bring them home and try them out? I'm so happy I did because I hear things now I never heard before as I'm re-watching all my Blu-rays again. They are also quite beefy in not only the sound department, but in stature too. Love them! I added the Dolby Atmos top firing speakers to them as well and I love watching movies now. It has become my favorite past time. You can see how they are paired with my 4K set up with everything I have here http://whysoblu.com/4k-sony-xbr65x930d-samsung-ubd-k8500-review/

I've been enjoying these speakers for a few months now. They replaced the Pioneer FS-51's, which I enjoyed, but these are a step up in my opinion. What strikes me as the biggest improvement over the 51's are the highs in the 52's. They have more crisp, less veiled highs. This creates a more involving sound overall for me. Still, the highs aren't too harsh like some speakers sound to me. I'm pretty sensitive to highs, and these are pleasant to my ears. The mids and bass sound good too... the mids seem a bit more pronounced than the 51's, and the lows more prominent though still not boomy or muddy sounding. This is a very good speaker for the price. Very well balanced sound. I use them primarily for listening to music. I spend a lot of time listening to music, and most of the time it's serious listening...not just background noise. They might not be reference level speakers, but they're very detailed and involving. For the price you really can't come close to them.

Wow what a difference from my older front towers speakers. When I first set these up,I wasn't very happy with the sound, but after recalibrating the speakers using the Denon autocalibration , and about 24 hours to break in the speakers, they sound excellent.I am using two woofers and the floor speakers still add even more base.Good mid range and better highs too.The speakers are worth every penny at this price! And they're very nice looking speakers too. Also got the matching center channel speaker.

I have these connected to an Onkyo receiver (100W/channel) in a 7.1 config with 2x Pioneer SP-FS52, 4x Pioneer SP-BS22, 1x SP-C22, and a nice Polk Audio Subwoofer. These sound great, they provide very clear highs and mids, and good bass (though I would not use these without a subwoofer in a home theater setup). Hope that helps!

These speakers are excellent fronts as part of Pioneers Andrew Jones speaker set. They have excellent response and are matches to the center and bookshelf speakers . They are a little large ( approx 8.5 w x 10 deep by 36 high) so if you are looking for a compact system perhaps look elsewhere ( the center is a large unit at 18 1/8 w aby 7 1/8 h by 10 d). Because of the size the fronts have good bass response and also have an excellent sound stage. Clear and crisp highs and excellent mid ranges . The speakers do not have spikes and could probably benefit from some better isolation.

I reviewed these speakers at C/net and several other sites. They live up to their review which is "the best performing speaker is there cost class". They have a true neutral sound so the music that is playing is heard as it was recorded. Additionally, they are the perfect size for my living room. These speakers actually perform with speakers that cost several hundred dollars more per speaker. I am very happy with this purchase.

If space is an issue and sound important, look no more!! These speakers are excellent and the size condusive to smaller spaces. The black on black sleek design is also pleasing to the eye. Very reasonably priced. Shopped around and none compared to these Pioneer speakers.

I was looking for speakers at first that were similar to the quality that polk audio bookshelf speakers had, I wanted speakers that would fill a small room but wouldn't take up alot of space. When I heard the SP-FS52's, I knew I found what I was looking for... Great low end and crisp and clear highs even at flat response was unbelievable. Get some, I'm almost sure you'll agree!

I read a lot of reviews around these speakers and they did not lie, for an entry line speaker they sound amazing. I went to the best buy store to test them out and they had them next to other speakers 3-5times the price of these and they sounded like horrible, but when i got home and hooked them up they sounded better than the other speakers. You cant always trust how things look/sound at the store because they are not configured properly and they can make other speakers sound better/worse depending on what they want to sell more of. I love these speakers and will definitely be buying another pair for the family room.

My motto is if you are not an expert, then ask one. When C-Net says something like best speaker for under a thousand dollars, and Audiobics gives it a rave review, and the host of the Home Theater Geeks Podcast interviews Andrew Jones and compliments him on the speakers he designed; all this on a $124 dollar speaker? You have to feel good about your purchase. I bought these without even hearing them first. These would not have been in some Magnolia sound room anyway and what are you going to be able to tell about how a speaker is going to sound in your home listening to it in a warehouse store anyway? Even with the raves reviews I wasn't entirely prepared for the build quality and sound of these speakers. I have the matching center channel ($69) and it is an amazing value. From the specs these would seem to be a little power hungry but I am driving them with a Denon rated at 90 watts p/channel and it is no problem at all. I was really impressed with the centers ability to clearly articulate dialog even at lower volumes. As for the towers I did some listening in 2.0 and the bass handling seemed fine , but I have a 10" inch sub so why bother? Bottom line if I had paid 3 times the price I would have still been happy with them. One word of caution- pay attention to the dimensions given In the specs, the center didn't fit in my tv stand. This was all for the good as it forced me to look for another. I bought a 65" inch plasma and the stand I had was cheap and to small for it.

I bought these on a whim and put them against some older Infinity towers I own. To my ear these sound clear and have great range. IMO you need a sub to get rumbling bass along with these. However they still put out pretty decent bass w/o one. Overall the online reviews are correct, for the money I doubt you can find better sounding towers!

I researched speakers for about three months before I went with these Pioneer Tower speakers, I love them. They are loud and have decent bass. I live in a house, and I had my next door neighbors complain they were to loud. ;)

Since August, I've been working and tweaking on a 3 channel and subwoofer sound system using Pioneer speakers developed by Andrew Jones, starting out with the bookshelf speakers and first one, then 2 subwoofers. My only previous experience with sound systems was a Sony Soundbar, and after months of using and rearranging the speakers around, I finally decided to go ahead and purchase a pair of these tower speakers. My God what a DIFFERENCE! Bigger and more powerful soundstage, and I didn't feel the need to keep my subwoofers. These have converted me, from now on, I will have only 3.0 setup for my television from now on. Those with hometheaters will want subwoofers I'm sure, but for my living room setup, the two towers will be more than enough for music and movies and tv shows. Going to keep the bookshelves for a future turntable/cd player setup, and I am going to sell the subwoofers.

All around great speakers. They are easy to setup and have such great sound for the price point. If you are just beginning to setup a home system or just looking to upgrade what you have, I would highly recommend these. Add the subwoofer and you will love every movie you watch.

I got these for a Dolby Atmos setup. I have 1 in all four corners of the room, plus the matching Pioneer Dolby Atmos add-on speaker on top of all four. Really sounds amazing, and the price is way under comparable brands.

These speakers are great. They have the sub-woofers built in so you get the bass without losing the quality of the sound. We bought these speakers because my husband wanted to have a nice surround sound. These speakers do that and more. Very good buy and happy we got them.
