Try clearing the Bluetooth on your phone and do the Restore Settings in the radio. Then pair them up again and see if you continue to get the error.

Entry-level head unit

It just does everything you need it to and does it well. It might be a little slow but for everyday user's this shouldn't be a problem considering you don't brake the bank and you get functionality.

This unit works great so far. Calls are clear, sound is better than the previous model. Purchased the extended warranty just in case it fails like the previous model.

Check the connection of the orange/white illumination wire. When the headlights come on, it should have 12 volts. When the headlights go off, there should be no voltage. This is how the unit dims at night.
You can also go into the settings and set it by time or manually.
If needed, contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1. They will walk you through the menus.

Installed myself even though it came with free installation from Best Buy. They should offer a discount if you don’t use their in-house installation service. They are always booked out over a month. The quality of this unit is good. I’ve installed two other JVC models in other vehicles and the JVC screen resolution seems better than the pioneer. But this one works fine and the sound is decent.

Paired it with a Sirius XM receiver and love all the features and capabilities ... and the sound quailty is excellent. Don't necessarily believe the Best Buy website when it tells you whether or not it fits your car. I had already checked with Pioneer and they said it fit. Best Buy said it didn't ... but my installer had no problem fitting it into my old 4Runner.

Sometimes when car starts, screen will literally stay black and take MINUTES to finally power up. And after just one year, Android Auto stopped working on it.... and my Google Maps is no longer acessible on the device either making me always have to use Waze. The device is just janky in general!! Waste of money smh.

I was fortunate to have Best Buy Geeks Squad provide the professional installation as i also had them install the module so I could use the steering wheel controls

Sleek, clean look an after playing around with it, it's great! It picks up my phone right away and the display on it is great! It will play my Sirus Satellite radio either with my phone or without it. Phone calls are easy and I can control the volume from the touch screen or from my steering wheel.
