    SSD drives are kind of an "either or" thing because when they work they usually get the job done. The 1311 is a good compromise of value and quality. I've used it for Time Machine backups on my Macbook Air without any hitches. Only dings I might add is that maybe the capacity should be rounded up to 256k and they should have a case for use as a portable drive (bought one separately and it works well).

    Put this in an Asus quad core desktop. Much faster than the 1tb 7200rpm drive that came in it(which is a nice data drive in it now). The Acronis based software worked good for cloning my Windows drive. So far so good. The only negative is that it does not come with a 3.5" bracket for desktops. A little velcro to the inside of the drive bay fixed that though. That is why it gets 4 not 5 stars.

    I was skeptical at first because of low price point. But I was wrong! This drive works very well. I have paid more for less in every sense of the word. If you're looking for a super fast HDD at a great price, this IS IT!

    I needed to replace a harddrive in a desktop computer and I selected this model SSD. Besides needing an adapter to fit in a normal 3.5 harddrive bay (which I knew I needed to purchase) this drive performed flawlessly.

    I was looking for an inexpensive SSD to use as an external USB drive for virtual machines. This SSD works well on a USB 3 connection, with almost no noticeable slowdown compared to the internal SSD.
