It worked fine for the first 8 months but then all of a sudden today it crashed and is not recoverable...gives a CRC error when trying to format it.

The spec and price of this drive would earn it 5 stars, but the migrating software ( Acronis) came with it never works then it minus 1 star, otherwise, it's the best for ur money.

After found out unit is obtained TLC instead of MLC. Returned and exchanged for other SSD.

I easily installed this drive and had it up and running in minutes. Used a duplicator which took most of the time. But all in all I think its a great product for your money. You defiantly get your moneys worth and more.

Adding a SSD to an existing laptop is the single best upgrade option. This drive is really easy to install and has great speed and reliability.

I have two of these. Replaced a regular drive in a laptop with it and put one in my wife's computer as a boot drive. It is about 8 years old but boots faster into Windows than my new 6700k rig but I still do have a regular HHD. It's not the fastest but it is definitely not slow. Expect to pay 1.5x-2x more for the fastest drives of the same size. Bought they on sale for around $60 in the store. That is a good price, comparable to on-line retailers and I didn't need to wait for it to come in the mail.

Placed this in a new Dell Win10 desktop (replacing a mechanical drive) and it works great. Easy upgrade since the desktop already had a 2.5" adapter. No problems. This is the second PNY SSD I purchased, the other one is being used as an external USB drive for my Xbox One for faster load times.

This drive is great. It is easy to install. It is so fast that ,soon as I turn it on, within seconds, the machine boots up. I am getting used to the new fast boot. I found it easy to install with no drivers or anything else. PNY is a very good company. Many companies out there are not so good.

I bought this when Best Buy was running a sale, so I got it at a great price and installed it in my computer without any issues. The software that you can download from PNY to clone your drive worked great and had my computer up and running off the Solid State Drive in no time. I installed this in a desktop, so if you are going to do the same keep in mind that it does not come with a mounting bracket or any additional cables to hook it up. I had purchased a bracket and cables previously so I had them on hand when I was installing it.. But if you would not have the 2.5 to 3.5 bracket or SATA cables you will need to purchase them before hand to properly install this in a desktop PC.

This is a great SSD for the price and faster than a lot of others out there. I've purchased 2 now for myself and my sister's laptops. This does not come with any mounting hardware or screws, but for laptops that's usually not a problem. A product key for Acronis True Image HD is included in the manual, so don't throw that away too quickly, that allows you to clone your existing drive over to this one. I could not get it to work on my sister's Windows 10 but thankfully I have Acronis True Image 2016 which worked flawlessly.

For a fairly priced SSD, this drive did more than I expected. read and write speeds were above what it was rated for. Worth every penny.

I bought this for a family member that had an old hard drive in their 7 year old laptop. It took about 5 minutes to boot, and 30 seconds to launch any applications. After cloning the old drive onto this PNY SSD, booting took less than 30 seconds, and applications run just like on a new computer. If you are looking to give your aging computer with an HDD a new lease on life, I would definitely recommend this SSD.

I got this drive on sale for around 50 bucks and it's been fast and reliable. Great product for an even better prive

This is the perfect SSD for the money! It's as fast as the Samsung 850 EVO, for half the money!! Highly recommended.

I originally purchased this to upgrade a 2009 iMac. Those computers supposedly had some compatibility requirements, and that limited the offerings that I could choose from in the SSD realm. 5 years later, that computer is still running, and I've had no issues with this SSD.

This SSD is very fast and the price was very good. Have purchased many of these for work.

Bought this and cloned my SATA drive to it then moved into boot position. It's amazing how much faster Windows 10 starts up! But do some research before you attempt this; I'm glad I did as there were a few settings I wasn't aware of that made it work. Also forget the s/w that comes with this and get EaseUS Partition Manager - it makes the entire process easy. You can do it with the free version.
