    Over past 4 years, I have purchased several PNY SSD of varying capacity. All are still functioning and none have failed thus far. They have comparable read/write speed as other major brands that I have used recently and currently, i.e. Sandisk, Kingston, and Crucial to name a few. The price is also pretty competitive.

    Easy install and works well. Installed on MacBook on 1st Attempt. Mow quicker boot on Yosemite. Better to get on Sale than listed price :-)

    Tested this drive, and found that its rated read/write speed come very close to the advertised maximum in my rig. Boot time, and program launch time are similar to another computer I have that is running a Samsung 850 Evo.

    Hook this up as a second drive in my desktop. Wanted to try it before putting my operating system on it. Based on how fast it opens programs I have installed on it the operating system should load and run fast.

    My review is regarding the 250gb PNY SSD. I had purchased this drive for an older laptop due to OEM drive failure. It has made such a difference in the speed of my laptop. Quick and straight forward install.

  • Brought a 8 year old Acer desktop back to life !!

    Have slowly upgraded a Acer desktop through the years up to windows 10 from Vista. Still had a 320GB HHD that was starting to make noises and replaced with this SSD even if only 240GB. The Acronis software resized partitions to clone on this smaller drive.Even moved hidden restore file. Only glitch was that old drive split drive evenly the C and D partitions and Acronis could not resize C. Used free version of Partition Magic to resize C. Startup is 3 sec to logo, 6 to signon and shuts down in 3-4 seconds
