Super fun game. It's a remastered version of the first Ratchet and Clank. There is a lot more to the story compared to the original. The graphics are really good, and the controls are slightly different when cycling for weapons.

So fun. I never played a Ratchet game before and I was surprised at how great the graphics are. The controls are tight and all the different weapons are awesome.

An excellent reboot of the R&C franchise. It really is unique as it's more run and gun than a traditional platformer but still family friendly. One of the best things about this franchise is the humor. It's nice to see Insomniac games pulling off humor without trying to be "edgy or cool." In other words, it appeals to adults without trying too hard to be adult. And it does it much better than games trying to pull off adult humor which often feels forced.

Loved the original and I have to admit that I didn't want to invest time and money into a remake. But man is it worth it! Beautiful graphics and the story is still engaging and fun! I just started playing so I can't write too much about how the game develops or any glitches but I'm surprised how much the new graphics improve the game. I thought I would be nostalgic for the old version but... I'm not! This is certainly worth it. At the same time if you love and have the old version(s) and money is tight, I could see holding off and purchasing a completely new game. I hope this helps

This game has both awesome gameplay and it looks like you're playing a Pixar movie.
You play most the game as Ratchet a small town mechanic that wants to join the Galactic Rangers. Clank is your robot sidekick on your back and as the game progresses it gains better abilities to assist Ratchet.
There is a load of weapons in the game for you to deal destruction. Each one will level up and gains new perks and bonuses as you upgrade it.
This game is just fun to play no matter who you are. Easily one of the best games on the PS4 and for the price it can't be beat.

Ratchet and Clank is one of Playstation's best exclusive but for this game it is remasted from the original of PS2. The gane play is good and meets great standards for PS4. Ratchet and Clank maintains a straight forward story and gameplay for all ages.

The game based on the movie based on the game. I will say it looks great. Graphics are vibrant and high quality. Definitely enjoyed the visuals of the game. I have not played the original game, so I can't say how it compares story-wise, but the story was enjoyable. Reminds me of Bastion with how the game is narrated.
Gameplay wise, the game was enjoyable. Clank's missions were definitely a low point for me and seemed repetitive and tedious. Gadgets were plentiful and different enough that nothing felt half-baked. Extras are fun to toggle when you achieve them. If you're into trophies, I was able to get a platinum within a week. The sound/voice acting is awesome. Overall, this is a great game for kids, and adults. Unfortunately, there isn't any type of coop mode, but you can only ask so much I suppose.

As someone whose played all of the main R&C games over the years I had high expectations for this one. For the most part the game didn't disappoint. It's a reboot of the series, retelling the story of the first game with some elements of the later games thrown in(weapons, galactic rangers). The game play and level design are solid what I've come to expect from the series. The weapons are fun and in some cases hilarious to use, another staple of the games. The plot is the double edged sword of this one, it's good but it makes the game short in comparison to previous entries. I suppose the 39,99 price should have been a clue, but it still feels like a let down that there aren't more planets to explore. I suppose they had to get it out in time for the movie. So as movie tie in games go it's great.

I'll start by saying I've never played a Ratchet & Clank game before. The 3D platformer was not something I ever got into during the PlayStation 2 era of video games. I always knew this series was well received by gamers and critics, but never jumped in myself.
Fast forward to 2016 and I was looking for something different to play on my PlayStation 4 besides Call of Duty. Ratchet & Clank is a re-imagining of the original game, but not simply a remaster. They have tweaked the mechanics to feel more like games of the current generation. It is very fast paced and has an enjoyable story. I can see now why these games were popular years ago.
I'm not sure if this game being re-released will spark a new line 3D platformers like on the PS2, but this is definitely a nostalgic trip to the past.

I never played the original game, so maybe my experience is different than someone who has already played essentially the same game. But I thoroughly enjoy the same so far: it's challenging in some areas, but never impossible. The story is fun and properly cheesy. The visuals are great - it almost feels like you're controlling a Pixar movie. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't played before, but I can't speak to those who have played the old one. If you're looking for a reason to jump back in, this is it.

I've played every Ratchet & Clank game since 2002, and this re-imagining of the original on the PS4 is a true home run. Beautiful graphics, excellent controls, and smooth gameplay made this feel like a brand new game. Add in the fact that it was only $31.99 with my gamers club unlocked membership just made it even better. I can only hope that Insomniac will give this same makeover to "Going Commando" and "Up Your Arsenal" so we can relive the glory of those games as well. A must buy for any PS4 owner.

This game is super good, but it’s more targeted for young kids and teens. It’s very short and won’t be too hard, so if you’re interested in a funny, quick game this is for you.

I hadn't played a Ratchet & Clank game in a long time, but this PS4 iteration is just as fun as I remember the game being.
The visuals are stunning, and the multitude of weapons keeps the game fresh, especially as weapons are leveled up and become more powerful.
The replayability is fairly high in this game as you are trying to max out weapons, and it doesn't feel like a chore if you're going for every trophy either.
Very solid casual, single player game.

Having played every Ratchet and clank game ever made previously it only made sense to purchase this one as well. Glad I did because it did not disappoint. It follows the same basic story line as the others, go from planet to planet using crazy weapons to destroy creatures and collect bolts to purchase new weapons. The worlds are visually stunning and enemies are awesome you can turn them into sheep what more could you want!!

There is definitely a feeling of deja vu, given that the story line and planets are essentially the same as the original R&C from the PS2. But they've done a nice job of adding some new wrinkles, throwing in some new weapons and of course vastly improving upon the graphic presentation. I've owned every game in this franchise, and I have really all of them.

I got this game in anticipation of my ps4 pro arriving this next week. I have been wanting to play this game for a while now, but seeing that it is getting pro support, plus it just went on sale was the deciding factor. If you don't already have it, you should go pick it up! Wonderful story, great visuals, a truly remarkable remaster of the original. I though roughly recommend it through and through. The game is great for kids and adults alike!

If you've played the previous games you will know what you're getting into. Classic Ratchet and Clank gameplay with some new weapons and areas. Definitely worth it for the price.
