I think most folks looking at a brand like Razer understand what the value proposition is here; Razer builds premium productivity and gaming laptops that weigh a healthy dose of style with a good dash of substance in a package reminiscent of Apple's MacBook Pro (with better upgradability and I/O to boot). Razer products wear a price tag to match - I guarantee you will find less pricey contenders with equal or better hardware. Quote me on that. But if that were all that mattered, we wouldn't be here. This laptop is fantastic - the kind of fantastic that I would say is absolutely worth your hard-earned dough. The build and materials quality is second to none. The finishes are sleek, and nothing ever feels sub-par. Niceties include a brilliant, bright, fast, and smooth display, one of the best chicklet keyboards I've the pleasure of typing on (and as someone that writes for a number of hobbies and Master's studies, that means something), a trackpad that comes within margins of Dell and Apple's best, surprisingly robust speaker performance, ample cooling (even without the vapor chamber solutions of the higher-tier models), and a dang good kick from that hexa-core i7 and RTX 2060. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this little unit has been able to power my beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro (250 Ω) cans exceptionally well, without discrete amplification! Now, time for an admission; I didn't purchase this with the intent to game - I already have a PC for that - instead, this is replacing my workhorse 2013 Dell Precision M4700, an outrageous mobile workstation that featured insane Intel Core i7 Extreme 3940XM and nVidia Quadro K2000M performance back in its day. Coming from something of that class, you can understand how high my praise for this Razer is - this Blade is seriously fast and seriously nice. With how pleasant this has been to use, I may very well consider giving Remedy's Control, CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, and a couple other heavy titles a good run and see how it stacks up, but I think it's safe to say there's more than adequate oomph to give you an overkill experience in 99% of use cases. At the end of the day, you will not regret buying one! Whether you're looking for a powerhouse gaming machine, a workstation or creator-class laptop to handle 3D modeling, CAD work, advanced compositing, and rendering, or just something really nice (and overpowered) to use as a fancy word processor and Internet browsing machine for the next decade, this'll do the trick!

I upgraded to this from an ASUS ROG G531GT with a gtx 1650. As you can see in the pictures, this laptop is thinner, significantly smaller in footprint (same screen size) , and has much better hardware and a better screen. The trackpad is the best I have ever used. It does get WARM when you are gaming, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Ready for intense gaming. Love the display and the screen is just something else. I find the lousy fans a little bit distracting but that’s it. It’s not a big deal for me but it might be for others. So, yeah. This thing makes noise when playing games in high-functionality settings

Getting any product, especially an expensive one, from Razer is generally a huge waste of time and ultimately you may not even get your device. Buy it straight from a place like Best Buy so you don’t have to deal with that. The device was given to me in perfect condition and I have had no problems since.

I want to give this amazing machine a 5 stars because it has made my life easier. I use it mainly for music production and it’s functionality and speed of the laptop are amazing. I’ve had plenty of laptops from dell, HP, and MacBook. Yet, nothing like this one in my opinion. Thanks BestBuy for hooking it up!!

Honestly bought this mostly because the GPU shortage makes it difficult to find GPUs and build PCs. My wife needed a PC because she likes to play early access games, and she sometimes likes playing on the couch. Some of the design choices Razer made are good, and others bad. If you can find one open box like I did, or maybe refurbished, I think this model is a good deal. But brand new I would only give it 3 stars. Pros: - Ports! Thunderbolt-3, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-A, so loads of options. - Spare NVME SSD bay makes it easy to add more storage; you just need a T5 Torx screwdriver and small phillips head. - The black finish is actually pretty decent at holding up to abuse, even though may black finishes I've had on products have not held up. - Sound system is actually pretty tolderable for built-in, but many people will prefer gaming with headphones. - The keyboard is pretty good and doesn't feel too abysmal even though I'm used to mechanical keyboards. However this isn't possible on a laptop so no points docked. It is comparable to MacBook Pro scissor switches (but not the chiclet keys that gave everyone carpal tunnel; gag) - The key lighting is easy to manage and can be cool. - General DIY-ability. You can easily expand the RAM, replace hard drives, and swap out the battery. In an age where few laptops allow that, this helps the laptop stand out and was one reason I was willing to go with this model. Cons: - The ports availability is really undercut by the total power draw (220W!!), which means that you have to use the AC adapter as Thunderbolt 3 (max 90W) won't give enough juice. - The Enter key is just weirdly long. I'm not sure why. It is an improvement over earlier keyboard iterations which had the backslash in the weirdly long part, however. - This model gets pretty hot with the high power draw. It's ambiguous to me if higher-tier models which have the fancy cooling work better. - Replacement AC adapters are very expensive, which I think is disappointing in an era where many laptops can take standard USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 charging cables. - Battery life is poor. This is common in gaming laptops so I'm not knocking off too many stars, but I think from examining the case that they could have gotten away with a larger battery and still retained the other components. It's possible that the market makes it difficult to find batteries that large, however, so I'm reluctant to hold Razer accountable for that.

    Excellent Gaming Laptop BUT,,,,

This laptop is amazing for gaming and just about everything else you can think of to do with it. My "BUT" in the title is referring to this laptop's RTX 2060. It's actually a RTX 2060 Max Q and it is nothing compared to the desktop version of this GPU. Thermals are good for this VERY THIN aluminium body laptop! I sit at about 70-80°c on my CPU and 50-60°c on my GPU. Not bad for a laptop as thin as a macbook pro with literally 20 times the power! Other than that, it can run the following: 1. Fortnite: Maxed - 90+ FPS, Medium = 144+ easy 2. CoD MW: Maxed - 60 FPS, Medium = 90 or so 3. RDR2: Maxed - 30 FPS, Recommend Medium 60-80 FPS 4. Just Cause 4: Maxed - 60 FPS, Recommend Medium ~90 FPS CONS: 1. No number pad. took some getting used to, 2. Laptop should be propped up during gaming to achieve better airflow otherwise overheating may be an issue for you. 3. The power supply also gets very hot during gaming so don't leave it on a carpet (try to stand it up on is side on a desk). 4. PRICE!! But as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!!!

I’ve had it for several months and can report that this is a good workhorse. I use it for zoom, data analysis (R/GIS), heavy Chrome tabs incl YouTube, and gaming, and I can usually pull off most of those things at the same time without issue which is terrific. Pros: build quality, screen resolution+nonreflective, fast refresh rate (hard to go back to 60hz), numerous ports/connectivity (this was a huge plus for me), computing power, graphics card that I can run FPS games on w pretty high settings, keyboard rgb if that’s your thing. I know some people hate Synapse but I’ve only ever had a couple hiccups with it. Cons: fans can kick up pretty loud, keyboard and speakers are nothing special, bulky power supply, decent battery for a gaming laptop but if you take it on the go you’ll most likely need it plugged in. Also the whole thing looks sick in matte black but it is a fingerprint/smudge magnet. Lastly it is expensive. Overall 8.5/10

I had to exchange my laptop twice before getting a perfect working one, the first two units I got had dead pixels in the screen (I'm very picky, so I wanted the screen to be perfect before settling on a unit). This laptop is so worth it to exchange until you get a perfect unit, despite razer's notorious quality control issues, it's definitely as amazing of a laptop as people say. That's why I'm still giving it 5 stars, it's just that good. I got it for an awesome price too which made justifying the purchase even easier. I'm a very techy person and a computer sciences student, so I need a top notch computer to perform without any hiccups, and coming from a lenovo laptop, I needed a laptop with impeccable build quality and a great hinge. I fell in love with this laptop as soon as I turned it on, because its aluminum build makes this thing a tank, the screen is amazing, the hinge is so perfectly weighted and built, and I've done some serious testing on this laptop and have never had it lag on me even once while programming or gaming. I can play every game I've tried on max settings (GTA V for example) as well which is awesome, and the computer turns on in 2 seconds!! Truly a powerhouse computer, you can't get better sheer processing power at this price point than this. Only problems with the laptop I've had is it gets extremely hot under heavy load (gaming) since it's made of aluminum but just put it flat on a table and let the fans run and everything should be okay for normal tasks. Also the battery life is not very good, I've never gotten more than 2 hours of battery, but I'm confident I could if I change the power configurations and put on battery saver at all times. Buy this laptop, you'll love it! And the exchange process through best buy is great for if you get a unit that you find has an issue. They even let me test the screen for dead pixels in store immediately upon exchange to make sure I was satisfied. Hope this review helps, enjoy your laptop!!!

Pros: The components are of great quality. The build quality is excellent and feels MacBook-esque. The computer can run games very well. All parts of this laptop feel solid and sturdy, including the hinges. Cons: This laptop runs hot, the components run hot, and it can throttle after prolonged gaming sessions - then it runs slower. It is difficult to use on your lap for regular browsing, and will still get from 70-80 degrees C on your lap (including the entire keyboard area). The 144Hz screen has a poor response time which showed bad ghosting while playing fast-paced games. The 300Hz panel might be better. Intel and the build quality make this laptop way too expensive for the power it offers.

I've had this laptop for about a month. I will say this laptop is a great laptop that can do everything. It has amazing gaming capabilities, great build quality, and an amazing display. I had my reservations before purchasing this laptop due to the horror stories about bad QC issues. However, this laptop has been nothing but fantastic for me. During hardcore gaming sessions, playing warzone, apex, etc the CPU never goes over 80 C and the GPU hovers around 70 C. While doing low demand tasks such as browsing the web, streaming videos, word processing, the CPU stays around 45 C. I've read other reviews where thermals weren't as great, but I think they just unlucky and got a lemon. The only gripe I have is the battery life. Doing regular productivity work, I get about 4-5 hours of usage. However, this is a gaming laptop at the end of the day. Overall, I'd recommend this laptop to anyone.

This is an amazing powerful laptop for gaming and video editing. It has an amazing designz slim, light, a conversation starter and does great for gaming. The only gripe I have is the cooling. For an almost 2000 dollar laptop, I'd expect the cooling to be better. I hope that I don't have any fan or component failures in the future. I bought the geek squad warranty just in case. I will be leaving another review later after a year or two I hope. I'm loving how fast it is though. Another gripe is that the fan speed is loud when. It gets hot but I guess that's expected.

Overall performance is great. The RTX2060 is capable to play tons of games with max graphic quality setting. One drawback is the heat dispensing throughout the top part of the keyboard. It will get pretty hot. A chilling pad helps. Setting the fan to full blast also helps. However, you have to deal with the noise which can be annoying at times.

Well, this thing should be good at its price point....and it is. It runs any game you throw at it, and the display is beautiful. I'm a content creator and I was originally going to get a MacBook Pro. Upon looking at the options in my price range, the Razer Blade 15 with i7 10750H and RTX 2060 came up. I am beyond happy with this laptop. With its 144hz display with matte finish, stereo speaker, easy to type on backlit RGB keyboard, 3 usb 3.0 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port, USB C port, Ethernet, HDMI and reversible charging port, not having to use dongles or adapters to connect a monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam and external SSD. I use it set to Balanced, in the Razer Synapse software and the fans usually only kick on to high, when I am streaming through Streamyard or watching YouTube in 4k connected to a monitor while working on my videos. When doing typical web browsing and typing, it's silent. The backlit keyboard is nice for typing, when it's dark and without having to have a light on, which may disturb others. For it's size and weight it's a wonderful portable solution for anyone looking to game, edit photos and videos, watch movies or YouTube, on the go. You won't be disappointed with this laptop. The inclusion of Dolby Atmos tuned by Razer speakers and plug in a pair of headphones or earbuds and it's quite the media experience.

Needed something for work as a developer and gaming without having to get a MacBook and this bad boy does it all! Even though I purchased the base model, it still delivers! Looks amazing, feels solid, runs smooth! If you're using this on your lap alot, it does run a bit hot but still doesn't effect the performance!
