Bought this to replace the original which was stolen. Played it before and is a must have in your PS3 library. PS3/PS4 exclusives are great games to have!

I BOUGHT THIS TO COMPLETE MY RESISTANCE TRILOGY. IT'S OLD BUT DOES THE JOB TO GET YOU IN THE GAME.

Great game, the camapaign was very well done and the graphics were good as well.

Another good game for the PS3, for anyone who likes shooters.

I like playing more campaign story modes than online so this game is perfect!

I bought a PS3 the first day the system came out. This was the very first game I bought for the system. Going into playing PS3 and my first PS3 game the very same day I was excited, and my expectations were high. Let me tell you, my expectations were exceeded! While playing this game, I was in awe throughout the entire game. The graphics were great, the enemies were smart, the weapons were awesome. This game is very very good! I loved every moment of it. The story is entertaining, the action is unrelenting, the controls are simple and work well, and last but definitely not least, the online play is simply astounding. This game is unique in many [and in my opinion all good] ways. MUST BUY! 10/10

Resistance is one of the 2 games that was launched with the PS3. Therefore, it's the oldest PS3 game ever, and yet it still amazes me. The storyline is a dark outlook: In an alternate 1950's where World War 2 never happened, the Chimera, aliens, have emerged from Russia and spread out to take over all of Asia, and continental Europe. Great Britain, being an island, was thought to be safe: they were wrong. The Chimera have taken over it. You, as Nathan Hale, are part of an American force sent to liberate Britain. This is where the game begins. The two things that makes this game better than most FPS are the AI and the weapons. The AI are smart. Unlike in most games where enemies just stay in one place or repeat the same movement patternt, the Chimera actually take cover, hide, and work together to overhwhelm you. And you allies are smart too. They behave like real soldiers would in combat, but when you have to move with them, they sometimes behve oddly. The weapons are very nice. Each weapon is unique and unseen in other games (one of Insomniac Games' specalties, weapon design) The main starting weapon is basic, an assault rifle with built in grenade launcher. But as you advance, you find much different weapons. The Bullseye, the main weapon Chimeran soldiers use, has a high rate of fire and is quite powerful. Also, it can shoot special "tags". If a tag hits an enemy, all normal bullets will home in on it until the enemy is killed or after the tag wears off. There is also a gun that can shoot through walls and create shields in front of you. The graphics aren't perfect, but they're very good, especially considering that it's very old for a PS3 game. This game also has a great multiplayer aspect. There is a co-op campaign, where you play the exact same campaign you play in single-player, but with more enemies to make up for the extra friend you have to play. This campaign's progress is seperate from the single-player, so you can play the game with your friend without messing with your progress in the single-player campaign. There is also a 4 player splitscreen versus. ANd you can play online with a total of 40 people. However, since this game's sequel has been released, I doubt there will be many people online to play with. The only bad things I can think of this game is what is typical in an M game, has blood and gore. However, it's not that bad. blood sometimes comes out when you shoot an enemy. And in the game you will encounter small, scorpian like creatures. When you shoot them, they die in a small explosion of blood, and you see all of their limbs lying around. But that''s really as bad as it gets.

Old school game. Never really been into these older games but fun to play

This game is really good FPS. It has good graphics, a good storyline, and good multiplayer. I would strongly reccomend this game to anyone that owns a PS3 or is looking for a good FPS. The levels get progressively harder as the game goes on. You get a variety of weapons.

The game setting is after WWII. The chimeras started of in Russia and started expanding. This is where you come in and kick some butt. Straight from the start, the game goes through intense actions. It is easy to pick up, and the storyline is interesting to follow. The co-op campaign is fun, and it seemed harder than single player, even in the same difficulty. The cut scenes are in black and white to give it the old texture. Online multiplayer is fun to play as well. I'm not a competitive person when it comes to video games, but if you are, then you'll enjoy playing in ranked games. You have your typical capture the flag, free for all death match, and team death match. These seem like the most favorite among all first person shooters. My only complaint is selecting weapons. At some point you'll have so much weapons and trying to select the weapon with the analog stick doesn't quite work the way you want. Also, you automatically end up using whatever weapon you pick, which gets annoying because you have to switch weapons.

May be the best game ever, the controls are simple, the graphics are perfect for the setting, the story is phenomenal, the enemies are similar to other games but brand new at the same time, the game can be played through completely co-op and is just as fun every time you replay it, the online play is fast paced, the guns are one of a kind and the grenades are the best part of this extraordinary game. Honestly, there are so many different grenades and guns that make the game so much different every time you play unless you're someone that just sticks to one weapon but even still you won't be able to put this game down. This and the Red Faction series are easily the best shooting games and some of the best games of all time. I can't wait for Resistance 2, the trailer looks incredible and Nathan Hale is back.

First-person shooters have come a long way over the past several years. From some of the earliest classic games such as Doom and Wolfenstein to the more modern and revolutionary titles such as Halo and now Resistance: Fall of Man, first-person shooters have developed a widely popular action-packed genre among gamers across the globe. While some may stand out stronger than others, R:FoM does not stint or fall away from being a well-made game. R:FoM offers a unique story with several twists and at the same time offers engaging, and often, adrenaline pumping firefights. From having fluid, user-friendly controls similar to those found in other widely-known FPS, rather intelligent enemy A.I., powerful weaponry and vehicles in the campaign, competitive multiplayer, and providing a variety of levels, R:FoM truly stands as one of the best shooters currently on the market. Although it may lag in the main protagonist's character development, R:FoM easily compensates for this minor short-coming by providing detailed next-gen graphics and high quality sound. Resistance: Fall of Man for the Playstation 3 is truly a game worth playing and will make a fine addition to fans of the genre.

RESISTANCE FALL OF MAN is a very good starter game for the PS3. The story is the best part of the game. It gets you into playing and is very suspenceful, it leaves you wondering what will happen on the next level, and thats what makes this game hard to stop playing. RESISTANCE has great and fun weapons to use through out it like the Lark (basicly a rocket launcher), the Fareye (a sniper rifle), the Arc Charger (a gun that shoots a bolt of lightning at your enemy), and many, many others. My favorite part of RESISTANCE is the Chimera (aliens trying to take over the world), I like to go through the game and look at all the different creatures there are, and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses thats what makes the game so real. There are only two things that I would change about this game, the fact that it is a little short, and the online. But I dont want to talk about whats wrong with it because that souldnt stop you from buying it. This game is great for someone looking for a good first person shooter, and I would recomend it to anyone.

I normally don't play games like this one where you are going up against aliens but this game was one I'm glad I decided to give a chance. It has great graphics and a storyline that makes you sit on the edge of your seat with anticipation. You play just to see what happens next. This game is shooter where you aquire lots of weapons for your use as the game progresses. I'm use to playing shooters where the weapons are based on real military weapons. The alien weapons you aquire during the game take some getting use to. I had to learn when to use certain weapons and when not to. I also like the levels where you are controling different vehicles like tanks, jeeps, and alien attack vehicles. Overall the game was good. It held my interest and challenged me enough to keep me wanting to play more. It will keep you on your toes. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who likes shooters.

Got this game as part of one of the bundle packages when the PS3 originally came out and I couldn't be happier. There's plenty of action to go 'round in the single player mode and it gets even better once you go online. Since its release they've added a few add-on packs on the Playstation Network and those give it even more spice. The add-ons are mostly additional maps/weapons and what not, but they still add to the pleasure/replay factor. If you're looking for one of a kind weapons, tons of action, and hours of game play, then this is the game for you!

This has been the best game for almost a full year of the PS3 life. With a Solid story and the variety of weapons, this game is a must have for the PS3. Online is maybe the best thing about the game. Even though it has a solid story being able to kill your friends or just random kids is what makes a day. The problem online is there are many glitches throughout the areas. It also does not help when players intentionally have glitches for their character to win a game. This game is a must have for PS3 owners even if you are not into shooters.

I purchased Resistance: Fall of Man with my PS3, and I still play it regularly! The online experience is second to none on the PS3, and the controls are easy to get used to. The graphics are absolutely stunning in HD. My only quarrel with the game is the same that I have with most first-person shooters--the only objective is to kill your enemies. But with such an engaging game as this one, the fact that there aren't more objectives is a really minor issue. If you own a PS3 and don't have this title, you are seriously missing out!

Resistance is the first game I bought for the PS3 and was an excellent choice. The game has some of the most awseome battle scenes I have ever played. The guns and gameplay are really cool. Getting to ride around in the tanks and jeeps is really cool too. Maybe the only bad thing about the game is its way to short. Since you get all new weapons after beating the game the shortness of the game is cancelled out. In all I think it is going to be pretty tough finding a better 1st person shooter for the PS3 for a while.
