I purchased the Rexing V5 4K Dash Cam with the hope to upgrade my older 1K Pony dash cam. My only requirement was something that gives me crisp quality images. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The image quality far exceeded my expectations and I can make out license plates with ease. The wide 170 degree angle gives me a great view of the road and. The voice control is a new feature and works extremely well. I do have some suggestions: • Rexing should update the Quick Start Guide. It is sorely lacking of needed information on how to operate many of the features of the camera. • The list of voice commands are provided on a separate card and could easily be tossed if not careful. I recommend Rexing post the voice command list on their website next to the digital version of the Quick Start Guide and include it on future versions of the Quick Start Guide. • Navigating around the menus is confusing. I had to watch a third party YouTube video to teach me how to get around the menus. For example, long pressing some of the buttons is not spelled out in the guide and in general. I think long pressing is not intuitive so suggest added more buttons to simplify the camera operations as I am sure over time I will forget how to navigate the menus. • The Phone App for playback is extremely slow so I will not be using it for anything. If I need to access the video files on the road, a Micro SD Card Reader to USB Adapter USB-C plugged into a smart phone is my preferred approach. • The V5 can take still photos but only while plugged in. All prior Dash Cams I owned had a built in battery so you can use them as standalone cameras. The V5 uses a built-in Supercapacitor so there is no way to use the camera standalone. As soon as the power is off, the camera stops running. A portable phone power stick would be a good way to achieve that goal. • Finally, I emailed Rexing a question and I was pleasantly surprised that I got an answer in 24 hours. Overall, I would recommend this camera for anyone needed an excellent 4K Dash Cam and not wanting to invest too much money.

I bought this due to all the crazy drivers on the road these days. That stupid crap is now all on video and will show who is a fault. I also like the fact that it also records your speed and the time on the video in case someone says I'm speeding. Could come in handy as proof should the occasion arise. It's also good for when your car is parked as it can catch activity when you aren't around. I usually unplug it when I'm not using it though as it seems to be a drain on the battery. Got one for my dad too and we are both happy with this product.

If you want stay safe buy this cámara easy to used and good quality

Image quality is good enough for wireless connection to the phone is a good option without taking out the memory. The only problem is the power connection to the 12V jack. It is not secured very well and sometimes it lost power. I have to push it one more time to make it works. I don't know whether it is my car problem for the jack size or dashcam power adapter.

The picture is good and has no jitters when driving, I purchased the three camera set-up and am happy except for the lack of software setting that will allow you to flip the rear camera, mine was installed upside down and some dash cameras let one reverse the image. The Rexing V5, unfortunately isn't one of them, are you listening Rexing for a suggestion in the next firmware update.

The camera cannot record with all 3 cameras at the same time. Sometimes it does not turn on automatically, it has a long delay time when turning on automatically or when it has the shock detection system

Great picture and clarity. The only thing I suggest is either memorize the voice commands or turn off the ability to use them.

Picture/Video quality is excellent. Installation was simple. Only issue so far is getting the phone app to work properly with it.

The quality of video is great. Nice selection of settings. Only problem is I can't get Wi-Fi to stay on.

I ordered two of these Rexing v5 cameras to upgrade from my thinkware50. The product is amazing! Easy to navigate and connect! The quality of the footage is so clear I have full trust of something we’re to happen on the road. The best feature I like is the WiFi connectivity to your phone, so if something happens, you can quickly transfer that footage to your phone and show the police what has happened! Also you can use those footage to show proof to insurance to cover your back! Overall, I love this product! I highly recommend it if your in the market for a reliable dash cam!

This camera was an upgrade to my 10 year old one the picture quality and video quality is amazing this is a perfect way to keep your story straight in a wreck my only complaint is it takes a little time to get used to getting video through the cameras Wi-Fi to your device but all in all I’m happy

Screen is very tiny and reflective glare renders it useless during the day. I wasn't given any instructions on how to work with the whole thing. The screen times out/goes to sleep after 1 minute and so far I haven't been able to change this setting, mostly because the buttons are hard to see and reach from the driver's seat. Doesn't help that there was no manual or any instructions provided by the installer (Best Buy issue). I have managed to unknowingly record a lot of videos, probably as a result of trying to work with the unit with no guidance and a screen that is hard to read. It is possible that the same issues exist with any dash cam. I can only speak to my experience with the Rexing. I am holding out hope that I can connect the dash cam to the screen on my in-dash system using my phone. I don't even know if this is an option and, if so, what impact connecting this way would have on the GPS software I use.

We are very pleased with the dashcam. The resolution and picture quality is great. We chose to hardwire it but took it to a professional to install. That part is not for a do it yourself project.

Seemed like a great product unfortunately ours was a busy wouldn’t turn on. Great package options through Best Buy. The camera is very clear from all the reviews wish we could of seen it.

Although I enjoy the camera, i always have trouble connecting and viewing my videos. I have to manually remove the SD card and see view them on my computer. This is also ONE PIECE.. Thats the part that i don't understand. Its bulky and once you place it on your windshield you cannot remove it without purchasing more stick on pads.

Got this dashcam package on a sale and bought 2 of them for 2 cars. The hardwire kit doesnt have the proper fuses. One of the cameras was sent to a previous address that i dont even have in my best buy account anymore, and obviously opened/boxed back up with box damage. I found out its input port didnt work. The other was an old model but works and has had a software update. The video is good quality on a computer screen, but i download it to my phone (think if you had an accident) and the video buffers an insane amount of times. With a kind of low resolution.

Great product easy to install with the additional purchase of the smart wiring harness.

So far I'm very happy with my dash cam purchase. Still waiting to try the app. I know that it has some issues and just wanted to try it before I set it up. So so far so good.Keep you Posted!

I needed a Dash cam and the Rexing V5 had all the options I was looking for. It's worked very well so far and I'm happy with it so far. The screen works very well and the buttons are easy to operate. Would recommend this Dash cam to anyone looking for a good mid tier Dash cam with all the needed features.
