One bad token is that ring chime pro only recognizes ring products. That’s a bad part about ring chime pro.

It sounds like you are enjoying the features of the Ring Chime Pro, but you may have some concerns with the functionality. The Ring Chime Pro (2nd Generation) is an updated version of the Ring Chime Pro (1st Generation) wifi extender. Like the original Chime Pro (1st Generation), the Chime Pro (2nd Generation) extends wifi coverage through your house, specifically to a Ring device.
The Ring Chime Pro (2nd Generation) plugs into a wall socket and is connected through the Ring app to your wifi signal.
A Chime Pro is a great solution if you want to extend wifi to your Ring devices. Generally, a single Chime Pro can effectively improve connectivity to your Ring devices in a two- to three-bedroom home, or if your devices are located close together.
Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors. Initially the cam would not capture video and the battery would run down as if the device was working. We did all the troubleshooting - nothing helped. I kept reading about the device and the Chime came up. I was about to return the stick up but decided, as a last resort, to get the Chime. IT WORKED. I saved money and time for another installation.

I love that I can adjust the volume in app and turn off my mechanical chime so I don’t hear chimes on chimes on chimes. My only complaint is I wish they updated the sounds more. One of the options is seasonal chimes, but I only see winter holiday chimes, not other holidays. To be fair, I bought this in December so maybe it’ll be updated as seasons change. Still 5/5 for now.
