After I found a trespasser walking out of my yard at 1:30 am I decided to step up my home security game. The bundle is a great value even compared to amazon or the ring website. Installation and set up was easy.. Easier then setting up a new home wifi router. Live view feature is great and I receive updates on my iwatch and iPhone and iPad.. this has brought a greater sense of security to my home. For a home owner you couldn't pay for the sense of security and piece on my this product gives you. My only complaint is the video quality is mediocre, and the camera allerts to my phone are delayed about 10-15 seconds, but if you see an intruder while your not home, just call your police department and they can be dispatched within minutes.

We purchased this Security set about two months ago. Last week someone was at my car at 3am right after my husband left for work. I was able to call police and show them the video. It definitely works! Sometimes I get alerted when it's really windy outside but other than that, I definitely 100% recommend. Super easy to install as well!

I installed the ring doorbell but have not installed the stick up cameras yet. So my review will be based on my experience with the doorbell only. The doorbell was very easy to hard wire into my current system and took only about 30 to 40 min to get up and running. I have between a 15 and 30 second delay from the time motion is detected until I get an alert on my phone. I am told this is based off wifi speed. My wifi seems to be fast and the unit gets good signal. When someone rings the doorbell it takes about 10 to 12 seconds to get the alert on my phone. The video and sound quality is good. I contacted customer service regarding live view and they set it up. Very friendly customer service. I am very satisfied with the system and honestly would give it 5 stars if the delay was a little less. I don't know the delay is caused by the ring system though. I would recommend this product to people. The video service to have the videos saved is 30 dollars a year per unit. Not bad. You do not need the paid service to use the system. You just can not review saved videos without it.

Good clear picture and easy setup. A little slow (normally don’t get notified once mailman has already dropped mail off and is walking back to his truck). Voice capabilities work great. A lot of false notifications, even after adjusting field of view.

This bundle will include the first release of the ring doorbell, two stickup cams and a chime. For the price, it's an amazing value and is a nice alternative to wired products. Paired with the solar panels for the camera's it's an even better unit. I'm not a fan on the ring 1.0 compared to the pro and the 2.0 but it works very well for what it's designed to do. We had some connectivity issues and it's a pain to reprogram ( have to remove and press the setup button on the devices) but other then that, it's a fine product. I would reccomend this to anyone who would want a cheaper solution to monitor their home remotely and has the basic understanding of smart devices. I would also reccomend the solar panels for the stick up cameras as on battery power, you may lose night vision and connectivity if the battery drops to a certain percentage.

We purchased this security system for our home and are happy with it. The best thing is the price! We received estimates for monitored video security and the prices were crazy so we opted for this. I installed them myself easily (be sure your drill batteries are charged!) in about 2 hours. The only issue we had was that our wifi signal wasn't reaching the doorbell because of brick walls so we had to buy a wireless range extender ($40). Everything works great and we now see when deliveries and our housekeeper arrives- which is the extent of our visitors. I definitely recommend; by the way we still have the regular alarm monitoring so this is just an add on for us for more security.

    Great idea but...

The idea behind the doorbell and cameras are great, but we have multiple issues with them. They are very easy to set up, the video image is decent and the doorbell works great. When someone rings the bell, I get notified immediately on my phone. But the motion detector doesn't sense activity until someone is walking away. We've tried adjusting it numerous times and still no luck. The stick up cameras are more sensitive and pick up every motion, but by the time it sends notification to my phone the person or object is already gone. That is disappointing. The Cloud video service is $3/month per unit. $9/month for all three. Not a major fee but another $100/year. The biggest disappointment is the battery life. The doorbell is hardwired so that doesn't die. However, the stickup camera's battery barely lasted a month. We put them up the beginning of December and have had to recharge them already. Again, I like the idea behind the entire system, but wish it worked better. I would recommend these to friends but I would tell them to expect all of the above. Including the additional $100/year for cloud service because otherwise the cameras are useless.

Love that you can have a great basic home system for less than $500. There's a little lag time in the live view and it doesn't always catch the motion in our driveway but again, you get what you pay for and we're very satisfied with this system. The doorbell battery lasted 1 month on a charge since we choose to put it in a different spot than where our original wired doorbell was. I definitely recommend buying the solar panels to keep the 2 cameras charged up so you don't have to take them down every few weeks to charge.

Easy to Install and Setup, Battery Life Not Great

The doorbell installation was the easiest part since the setup was a little tricky until I reset the unit. Camera quality is decent but motion sensitivity is tough to dial in. Not as big a deal for the doorbell since it has continuous power, but the motion triggering will run down batteries in the other cameras. I ended up getting the Ring solar panel to power one of my cameras that is constantly being triggered. Keep in mind that the Ring system only records event when triggered. Low light image quality is not all that great so keep your expectations low. WiFi connection quality will also affect video quality and response time of the camera to event triggers. I am going to get a WiFi extender to improve the performance of my system.

This is a great deal on a ring doorbell, two stick up cams, and a chime. All of them are simple to install and we love the additional security of knowing what's going on around our house. One of the stick up cams seems to run out of charge in about 2 weeks (had it for a month) - I'm going to have to get with Ring to see about fixing it. App is good. Night vision is marginal esp. at long distance.

This kind of sums it up, I accepted a UPS shipment while traveling out of state. It is great to be able to feel like my hoise is secure when I am away. A few months ago someone broke into my car. Having a system like this will not only deter thieves, it makes me feel empowered to do something about it when it happens again. Easy to set up, maintain, and a great value!

Picture is excellent and captures everything in a wide range in the front of the house. Notification settings take a while to tweak. Battery life of stick up cams is weak. Would like to find a way to secure them better. Can easily be stolen.

Ring appears to have cornered the market and delivers a good product. My only issue is with the design of the locking screws on the smart doorbell. They are very small and in the back of the unit. This means if you have large hands and fingers, it is going to be a challenge to lock and unlock the doorbell. The cameras work just fine and are easy to take down to recharge the battery. I bought the new cameras with a light when they came out - better design.

I purchased the Ring bundle about a month ago and installed the doorbell almost immediately. I just recently installed the two stick up cameras. Installation was extremely easy, especially if you use a hammer drill. Each time I installed, it took about 15-30 min total. Viewing the live stream is easy on my smart phone and quality is good so far. I don't have any complaints to date about the cameras. I've recommended them to several people and my brother also has the bundle and loves it.

I have not installed them to the outside yet. The drill bit that came in the package would not drill into my brick. So, I have ordered a different bit in the same size. Could not locate one of the same size anywhere locally. It's an odd size for masonry bits I've been told. I have had the cameras setup around the house and garage. The doorbell has proven to have a much better battery. The 2 cameras' battery life seems to be not as good. I emailed support and they gave me something to try. So hopefully that will improve the life between charges. I was estimating that the cameras would need to be charged after only about 4 weeks with very few activations. I really like the option to use live view. It works seemlessly. The motion activation seems to work most of the time. However there have been a few times that I have walked within 2 feet of the camera and it did not recognize motion. There have also been some instances of motion activation when there was absolutely nothing that triggered it. All said, I am overall happy with the performance.

This is crazy: the cameras keep going offline, the app asks to give the camera some time and try again later, It doesn't always notify you of activity, or it is very delayed. I would say Live view works 30% of the time tops, it takes a long time to connect to the stick up cameras live view or when I receive a motion alert for the cameras and try to watch the video, it is just a black screen. the battery with the solar panels does not last for 30 days. This is a very expensive device for it to not work as designed. The doorbell, If installed on battery-only,l will not allow Live View. I want this to work because i don't know if i can still return it ...

From packaging to instructions to install to software setup, these cameras are super simple. The box literally contains everything you need including a screw drivers with the matching bits. And being wireless with an optional solar panel means you can place them anywhere you want. The only concern is that your wifi signal better be outstanding. They do also take a while to connect for a live view.

I’ve had Ring for almost a year and I do think it is a deterrent for burglars but it doesn’t work that well for me. I’m on a busy residential street and it picks up the motion of cars going by even when It is set for only 10 feet of detection. Also, video is very slow coming online so it’s difficult to verbally answer the ring because people think you are not home and leave before you answer. In addition, it doesn’t always pick up the mail delivery or UPS delivery person. It may ring but they are fairly quick and the system is sluggish so they are gone by the time the picture captures anything. If someone comes to the door after it’s dark, the picture quality is very poor and even if it is a known person, it’s difficult to recognize them. If you get a 3 camera set, you may not have WiFi capability for all three and must then buy a WiFi extender because if you don’t, 1 or possibly 2 cameras will be useless, even in an average size tract home. If you still want to purchase Ring, I would suggest buying just the front door camera and only if you are on a fairly quiet residential street. I was hoping this would work well as it was purchased after an attempted burglary and was recommended by a police officer, but on my busy street it’s just not that effective. :-(. Wish it had worked because it was expensive!
