If your WiFi isn’t great, there will be a delay when there is motion at your door. Night vision could be better but there are work arounds if you care to spend the time looking at a YouTube video or 2. I find the app very user friendly but all models of the doorbell don’t have the same features available in the app.

Camera works great, but the audio doesn’t work very well, it is very broken and I can’t understand what anyone says. Also my existing doorbell does not ring every time. The chime works really well.

The instructions assume you own a doorbell with a simple old fashioned ring tone. Anything with chimes has a very different wiring schematic and will not match up to the Ring doorbell. This should be a half hour installation and I have spent hours trying as well as talking to electricians at 2 home goods stores that sell the device. They had no idea. Will have to hire an electrician and may have to change out the chimes.

Impressions after 2 weeks: 1. Incredibly easy to setup and integrate with my Alexa ecosystem. Other than mounting, the rest of the setup was less than 15 minutes and integration was SEAMLESS. I get motion alerts on all of my Alexa devices and can see video on my Fire Cube connected TVs after about 5 seconds from when asking Alexa to show the door camera. 2. Video quality. This is the first integrated camera that I purchased and I am impressed by the quality. I can see clearly even across the street. 3. Motion detection. I have had to dial back the sensitivity a few times to get a reasonable notification process. Originally, i was alerted if cars went by on the street. If that is what you are looking for, this can do that. I only wanted notifications when someone was either in my driveway or on my front porch. I was able to customize the motion area and have it pretty well dialed in now. 4, Overall, this was my first Ring product. I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of this doorbell and have been looking at some of their other products. This probably won't be my last Ring item. 5. Was not compensated in any way for this review.(other that points from Best Buy). I am just a guy who bought a thing that I like....

Who is at your door security

I looked at these for the past couple of months. I finally picked on up after waking up at 5am to someone ringing my doorbell repeatedly. Then banging on my door. I never knew who was at the door they were gone that fast. This is what made me finally pick this Ring product up. Its so simple to install. Once installed you can go in to the the App on your phone and adjust the size and shape of the detection zones. The cameras look down the driveway. Anyone / anything that approaches inside the zones sends me an alert. You can also control the times that you receive alerts. I have noticed that at night headlights moving across my fence will set off a motion alert. Recordings are still made I'm just not notified at night. (Those are my settings) The camera gives a very nice clear picture during the day and switches to black and white at night. Give yourself a sense of security and pick one of these up. It also has this neat neighborhood feature that you will get safety notifications. Recent ones I saw were Some kids stealing the bowl of candy on Halloween. Kids stealing pumpkins. A bear in a back yard and another of some drunk person trying to make an entry in to someones residence. I installed this Ring Doorbell Pro on my side door. Im sure its only a matter of time before I pick up another to add on my other door. I think if you live in an area where there are package thieves, this should be a must own for you!

    Great bundle deal!

I was lucky to get this deal. I was already looking for a Ring doorbell and after reviewing the original Ring and Ring 2 with this Ring Pro, I decided to get the Ring Pro even though it was more expensive. I jumped onto this bundle deal at $179.99 including the Chime Pro and a free Echo Dot (3rd gen). While I didn’t need the Chime Pro as my mechanical doorbell works perfectly with Ring, the Chime Pro comes in handy when motion is being detected and it gives a sound (a number of choices to pick from). This is particularly useful when someone is at your door without ringing the bell and you are still being alerted when your phone is not with you (which is usually the case when you are doing stuff around the house). The free Echo Dot is the extra icing on the cake. I recommend anyone who is looking for a Ring doorbell to get this ridiculously good offer!

After doing some homework and checking other doorbell cameras, this one was the cheaper one for the monthly service. I actually paid a year in advance and saved a little more. I’m working on buying more for the outside so I can have more peace of mind. The camera works great, it detects motion pretty good. The night vision is pretty good as well. The only draw back I saw from it was that the speaker didn’t sound as clear as I thought it would. There is a slight delay from actual movements versus being altered. However, this is typical with all doorbell cameras as well. It’s fairly easy to install as well, had no issues.

Nice complete doorbell and cam kit. It’s a bit confusing with all the Ring choices but this install was easy, and with an extra separate angle base, does good keeping watch from our Dede mounted doorbell to just shy of the street about 75’ away. Recommend this is you’re using wired doorbell for power. There’s a power transformer to put in your old school doorbell inside first. That powers the unit so no battery or AC 110 adapter needed, you can run a wire from inside if you don’t already have a wired doorbell. Instruction walk through install, good strong close by WiFi or node is essential, weak means frustrating troubleshooting so put it in range of good signal. The app is nice but tailoring notifications between app and iPhone can be tricky. Take the time to set up zones and adjust sensitivity to avoid lots of false alarms, using human shape detection helps keep birds, bugs, lizards, and cars from setting it off. Ours is just right as delivery trucks and mail cause motion notification not drive by vehicles. The timeline feature is nice, each trigger records a minute of HD video, free for 30 days (counts down days) then you pay $3/mo per device or $10 household to store and retrieve them. Yes, subscription required to keep your vids in the cloud. Fairly quick with little delay notification or talking to person at door two-way. The added chime plug in wall box isn’t needed if you pair with Alexa devices, each sing in unison with some choices for sound notification. Pricey but decent, can be grouped with other Ring devices to alert them, record or turn lights on if you have the spot-cam. You can share with others but they need a free email based account to get warnings. Device has stolen replacement, nice touch for peace of mind. Night vision good, don’t point toward windows or sun as it’ll bloom, freak out. Good sound and vid quality just wish it was cheaper. Comes with everything you need except drill.

I'm a techy guy, but not always buying the latest and greatest devices right away. I thought I would try this out for a Black Friday purchase which came in a bundle that included the Doorbell Pro, Chime Pro, and Alexa Echo 5. Video Door Bell: Easy to follow installation and setup instructions. Included all the necessary hardware to complete the physical installation including various face covers to match your exterior look. Pros: Good quality video, variety of configuration settings for alerts and motion detection, easy setup/installation, nice to see who's at the door, sense of security. Cons: Real time video is delayed when accessing from my iPhone when away from home. Contributing factors could be; metal exterior, slow internet speed, not a great quality WiFi router. Three "Protect Plans": 1) Free - motion alerts, live video, two-way talk, and theft protection. 2) Basic Plan - First month is free after that it's $3/month or 30/year - includes the free plan plus 60 days of video history. This allows you to record, review/replay, and share video's as well as snapshot capture. 3) Plus Plan - includes the free and basic plans plus 24/7 monitoring, extended warranties, and 10% off future purchases. Chime Pro: Came as a bundle with the door bell, but not sure if it's really needed in my situation since the my router is close to the front door. Again, very easy setup/configuration. Acts as a WiFi extender and notification chime. Summary: My wife likes it more than I do. My issue is the delayed live video. Because of the delay you pretty much need to buy into the "Basic Plan". Not that it's a deal breaker or going to break the bank, but irritating. I'm planning an upgrade to my in-home internet service and router in the spring/summer and hopefully that helps. The 60 day video storage under the "Basic Plan" is nice for reviewing video, but obviously it's an extra cost. I purchased this on a whim without knowing much about the product except the high acclaim. As long as you know/understand what your getting and set realistic expectations of what it can and can't do it was a good purchase.

I purchased this bundle as a Black Friday Special. Great video quality and sound. Took me maybe 10 minutes to install. Instructions are precise and the Ring kit gives you every single thing you may need to install. The Chime is a nice option since it will sound not only if the doorbell button is pushed but if the doorbell senses motion as well. You can sync this doorbell and chime with any Alexa product in which it will also alert you of motion. The Echo Show was just a added benefit to buying this bundle as you can ask Alexa to show me the front door and it will display the live video feed on the Ring. I researched the Ring prior to purchase and was disappointed I could not have a live feed displayed on a TV like a tradition camera set up If I chose to. After further review I found out you can display it (voice activated) on the Echo Show and also on a TV that has a Fire TV Stick. So I purchased an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and I can now view my camera by voice any time needed on my living room TV. Great products and well worth the money for the sense of security at my home, anywhere I am.
