Best Streamer I've Used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Of the streaming units I've used (FireTV Stick, on-board Vizio and Samsung apps) the Roku is by far the best. Tons of content (including a lot of free stuff), quick performance, video looks great, easy to set up, and the interface is solid. What else can you ask for?

Roku in 4K!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku has one of the best user interfaces with ease of use with their remote. I love the layout options and ability to access so many apps quickly. Add apps like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, FandangoNow, and the list goes on and on. More free content than you can possibly view in a day. Picture quality is superb, set up is simple, and its so small that it takes up little to no space.

Smooth streaming when compared to my other sticks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Best Buy rep recommended the Roku after I explained that I wanted to watch my cable channels on three other TVs, but I did not want to add extra boxes, pay extra install fees, or change my current Xfinity subscription. I have a great price plan that includes HD local channels and I did not want to change or upgrade. The service is for one box that is connected to our main TV. I was contemplating installing a couple of HD roof antennas but it required a professional install due to the total number of TVs (4) that I wanted to watch local channels in HD. The Best Buy rep said the Xfinity streaming app is only available on the Roku and recommended I try it before drilling and installing the roof antennas. So I scooped up the 4K premier Roku and I've had it for about a month now. No problems at all and I love it. I plan on buying two more Roku sticks. I'm still paying less than if I would have subscribed to the Xfinity X1 service. All the apps stream very clear with no problems in buffering. The Roku streams better than my 2nd generation Firestick and my Google Chrome cast stick. I prefer the Roku 4K which seem to stream smoother and faster than my other two sticks. I noticed that the other two have buffering speed problems and will distort video at times. Perhaps because the other sticks are older generations. Nonetheless, I use the Roku exclusively for all my family's viewing needs. Thanks so much Best Buy!

Love ROkU
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Roku device on every TV in the house. My latest purchase was an upgrade from an older model. It is smaller than the old one and seems much faster. I love the Roku devices they work great. When my Roku stick was over heating, Roku actually sent me an adapter for it and didn't charge me a penny. You have to love a company like that. Forever loyal.

Roku Rules!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Roku for 12 years. I feel it's the best thing to ever happen to Television! This is my 3rd Roku Box purchase. I bought it on sale. All my previous boxes still work but recently, my remote stopped working and it was going to cost more to buy a new remote vs. A new box which includes a remote. The box is easy to set up. If you have a previous box, your Roku account carries over your saved channels apps to the new box. The picture it gives is virtually vivid & razor sharp (but can depend at times what you're watching). My favorite apps to watch on Roku is Tubi, Pluto & Youtube. In my opinion, its the OG of TV streaming and is ten times better than Amazon Fire--for Roku is easier to use and offers way more apps for content. Its a great way to cut the of cable & satellite! All & All, Roku is a fun and exciting experience in television viewing.

Great for Bedroom, Kids room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really easy to set up, comes with everything needed to stream. Great for a bedroom, kid's room, or secondary TVs because it will give you all the content, the ability to stream in HD or 4K. I would say for the primary TV you use, something like the Ultra would be more beneficial, but this would still work

Roku keeps getting better
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crazy how compact these things are nowadays. I bought the original premier years ago. Setup was a breeze. I like the Velcro attachment that came with it. I was up and streaming in about 5 minutes. Great product, and no buffering and no problems. Roku For the win!

BillyandLeah
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best $20 you will ever spend. I was a little concerned that it is a WiFi only device. I prefer to hardwire as much as possible.. With that being said, the unit has performed flawlessly. No dropped connections, no buffering, no problems... It just plain and simple WORKS.. It is amazing just how much TOTALLY FREE content is available. We currently have DirecTV, but ever since we purchased the Roku Premier, we VERY RARELY ever watch it anymore. We have not made a single purchase on the Roku... So, YES, it has that much free content.. If you are still undecided on wether or not to buy one. Quit wondering about it and just go buy it. You will be glad you did. I know we are. The only thing I wish we would have done is buy it alot sooner than we did!

Pretty Good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit gives you many choices of free TV shows and movie channels with limited commercials, in addition to your conventional subscription services. On the negative side, the instructions provided are limited and pretty much a quick start guide. You can go into settings and change languages, set closed caption, and other specific things. If you have a lower bandwidth internet connection you can reduce the resolution to eliminate playback interruptions with buffering. It does have a feature that I accidentally turned on that reads the menu to you, but the audio is not clear, so I turned it off. The biggest complaint I saw was the unit getting hot. Mine may have overheated and cut off. There were discussion boards that suggested moving it to a place that wasn't giving off heat such as don't mount it on a DVD player. I re-positioned it and have had no more problems. Overall, for the cost and the simple to use remote I would recommend it to others.

Perfect upgrade for basic tvs
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got a new smart tv for my living room and moved the old one to the bedroom. When we got rid of cable, the bedroom tv was useless because it's just a basic television. Roku Premier is perfect, allows for us to stream all of our subscribed networks, works quickly, great quality and easy to set up and use.

Very easy to set up.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for something I could start streaming content with. After talking with a sales rep she suggested the Roku Premiere would be a good low cost selection. She was correct, I can now stream You Tube TV, Sling TV, Netflix, you name it. It was easy to set up and very compact.

Roku is always good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with most Roku streaming devices this is super easy to use and very minimal in size. I wish it was a stick instead of a separate device but maybe you just need it because it is 4K. Ultimately I think it is a good value and works perfect.

Great for those not tech savvy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My mother isn't tech savvy at all and has never had internet till now because she was ending contract with direct tv and we wanted to set her up with hulu live. My husband and I set it up for her which was very easy to do online at our house so all we had to do was plug it into her tv when we got to her house. After plugging it in we got it to connect to the internet easy and got her hulu account all taken care of. It's great that there is a hulu button on the remote so she can just push that and we don't have to worry about her making multiple subscriptions to various networks, we loaded a few of the many free apps for her. She hasn't had any questions on how to use it since the day we set it up about a month ago, which I was expecting to get numerous questions on how to use it. Only thing I found odd with the remote is the piece of rubber that sticks out of the remote so we cut it off.

Great Smart TV adapter.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to use. Already had a Samsung Smart TV but plugged this instead because it is much faster than the built in Smart features on my TV model. Easy to setup using a smartphone. Even can use it to mirror my Surface Pro screen to the TV.

“Great bang for the buck!”
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great for an excellent price. I personally have the Roku Ultra (bought it a week earlier than this one for my aunt) and they both work great. They're really easy to set-up. For this one (Roku - Premiere 4K Streaming Media Player) I recommend using the power block into AC for power instead of the TV's USB port as my aunt's 5 year-old Samsung didn't have enough power to power this unit. The interface is really great and you can also download the smart phone app to use the remote and other cool features. I heard that Apple TV is the king of these—especially for Mac and iPhone users like myself—but the cost is a bit out of reach. Choosing to go with Roku (over Apple TV and Amazon Fire) made more sense since I just bought my mother a TCL 50 inch 4K Smart LED Roku TV for $248.00 (same timeframe just before Memorial Day 2020) so that set came with one build in!

Can't control the TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The big pluses. It plays Vudu. Vudu app is fully functional. On a competitor's streaming stick it can't be used unless you do a special download which doesn't allow full function of the app. Roku allows all functions to work. Roku channel is great for getting live streams including news without having to subscribe or download other apps like CBS or NBC. The minus. The remote for Roku can't be used as the remote for the TV. It doesn't turn off/on the TV nor can it control the volume. There are no co yrols on its control stick to do so. This means you need to use the TV remote and the Roku stick. That isn't terrible but there is another streaming device that can control the TV.
