I always wanted to like the LittleBigPlanet games more than I did. I was never that interested in creating levels, so I mostly just played the pre-built levels. As a platformer, however, the controls were always floaty and finicky. Sackboy: A Big Adventure, however, does away with both the creation aspect and the floaty physics from the LittleBigPlanet games making it a much more focused and enjoyable platformer to play.
Level design wise, it is a bit basic. The music levels are often cited as people's favorites, however they were honestly my least favorite. Overall, though, it's a competently designed and -- more importantly -- fun game to play because the level design and gameplay aren't holding it back.
Graphically, it's a nice looking game. While it looks no better than a PS4 game since it was also released on that platform, it still looks good on the PS5. I personally preferred the look and immersiveness of a game like Astro's Playroom, but this certainly gets the job done.
Overall, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a solid and fun game for both kids and adults, just don't go in expecting to be floored since it doesn't offer anything that you haven't seen before from its gameplay or graphics.

I bought this game so that my wife (non-gamer) and I could have something to play together on our new PS5. She loved it! Not only that, but my two kids (4 & 6) started to play it and really enjoy it! This was essentially the first video game they have played and caught on super quick! Its very fun as you can collect bells on the different levels in order to utilize them to buy different costumes for Sackboy (see the picture for an example). It is well worth your money with the amount of levels the game has. One cool thing is that there is ten team levels in the game where you have unlimited lives in order to get through the level. It builds teamwork as you can't beat them without the help of each other.

This game take the best feel and energy from so many other series like Mario Bros. and Sonic and Crash and mixes in Donkey Kong Country and elements from Hollow Knight and Zelda. Add in the party style co-op without being cheesy and it's a win!

The 5th and final world is very difficult and you might quit around there but it's still a great game. You collect dreamer orbs and that is the whole point of the game.
