Currently using in my PS5 , it was easy to install and very fast with transfers. So far haven’t had any issues with storage or heating. Definitely recommend for the ps5

While the SSD is a bit thick(physically) and kinda bulges the bottom of my laptop, I have had literally no issues with using this storage. I do recreational music production and I run my VSTis off this thing. Its been fantastic for rendering my audio projects.

This worked excellent in my PS5 Pro. Games load just as fast as on the original SSD in the system. Samsung’s 990 Pro is the only SSD I use in both my pc and my PlayStation.

990 PROs are top performers. This SSD was installed in a PC that has its own heat-sink, so that feature was irrelevant. Purchased because it was on sale for $20 less than standard version. Might be useful for PS5 owners even tho 990s are known for cool operation.

Very fast, very stable, runs cooler with less throttling, fits in a standard M2 socket. Heat is the enemy of all electronics. It pays to buy one with a permanent heat sink.

It’s been almost 2 month since I’ve had the 990 Pro 2TB and aside from installing getting a bit annoying because a stripped screw -no fault of the 990 itself- it’s been a flawless experience. It’s sleek, pleasing on the eyes, and most importantly: fast. It’s rated as 5900 GB/s read write speed by the PlayStation 5 internal rating and it moves like it. I highly recommend as I’m very satisfied with it. I have 10 games installled and still got 1.5TB left of space.

This is a great SSD for PS5. It was simple to install, and fit perfectly, even with the heatsink. Performance is at least as good as the stock drive.

I bought this ssd for my Ally X and it loads my games up so quick that it's almost instantly. The heatsink is perfect for keeping the ssd cool to prevent overheating and game crashes. I would definitely recommend if your looking to upgrade your new Ally X or you can Use it for the PS5 as well.
