I purchased mine in June of 2024 and had it die after 9 months and had it replaced through warranty. The replacement lasted only 6 month and it needs to be replaced again. I looked into this and apparently they still have a high failure rate, Definitely look at other brands like Western Digital.

Great product missing screw

Yes I know my motherboard comes with a screw. How much is that scew though? Ten cents? Stop being so cheap. For several hundred dollars, 10 cents is nothing. My camera lens came with a bag, lens hood and covers. Do better!

Fake device received

I ordered this from bestbuy and it turned out to be defective and fake. The label on the ssd is very blurr and the samsung magician (official software) cannot verify this device. I tried to return/exchange this in the store and the manager is very rude and refuse to provide and survice.

Be careful purchasing this, they sent me an old ssd card, 128 gbs when i ordered 4tb and when i went to return nothing they could do because it wasn’t the same product! Open the package on video and make sure you have the correct item! If you have it on video you opening maybe you can get better luck than me if they send you wrong items

Purchased this new, I had to cut the box open, but after installing the system I was shocked to find it was registering as a 980 Pro 2 TB... I thought maybe it was a firmware/BIOS issue or something like that but no. Samsung Magician states that it is on the latest firmware and is "Genuine". Going over to Best Buy and see what they can do.
Of course now the stores don't have any available and they are no available online either... Fun!

Brad's 1 star review is hot garbage! This drive is fast, but you wont get the maximum performance unless you download Samsung Magic and optimize the drive.
