This SSD is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to install, 4TBs of storage, and very fast. I love it!

Massive storage, really fast. Able to fit all of my VMs, games and more. It was really easy to install, just slide right in and worked immediately, no software installation required (but Samsung Magician recommended). Best of all it lasts for 2400 TBW so it'll last for years to come.

I installed a lot of these on various devices including enclosers for expanding Storage PC's and Macs. Works really well with a Thundebolt-4 USB-C! Never had a problem with them and the Samsung Magician Software for Windows keeps them performing well and updates the firmware when needed.

I like its small minimal design and built in heatsink with a rgb light. However a big note, it does not fit in a regular SSD enclosure. The heatshield makes it too wide. You have to get a vertical heatsink that is open. One downside only but a major one if your trying to transfer data. For me its been exceptionally quick at gaming and all general uses. Got it on sale for a very good price. Overall very satisfied. I trust smasung and have bought numerous types and amounts of their ssds. Never failed me so far.

Runs plenty fast enough for me at pci 4 speeds, with much more manageable heat. Plug and play installation and with enough space for photo / video editing work. Just unfortunate that the ssd sortage is really cranking up the price. Price up almost 4x since sales at the end of 2025.
Works beautifully, and excellent customer service!

I ordered this back on Black Friday for a Christmas gift to myself, and set it aside for the big day. Well, as it turned out, I recieved an empty box and had to head into the store to get it sorted out. I mean, how do you even begin to explain yourself for something like this? Customer service took care of me, no questions asked, and got a new one sent to me within 3 days. I cannot express the gratefulness I felt for being understood and believed on something like this. 5 star service. The product itself is easy to install (youtube it!) and once it was formatted it ran perfectly. Lightning fast installation and operation. Very pleased with my choice to purchase this NVMe!

Beefy speedy ssd. Thing thing will get heat throttled unless you give it a heatsink. Doesn't take much though. I used a lowprofile 2mm copper and its running fine in my laptop. Knocked the heat down by 20c. Knocked 1 star off because it really should be sold with a heatsink.

Super speedy and large capacity drive. A must have for a gaming PC that is going to fill up fast. Most reliable brand in my opinion, and I have tried many.

This drive is fast in benchmarking and some types of file transfers, but if you expect a boost in general things, you might be in for a disappointment.
Buy this drive if you want one of the fastest drives (right now), but do it with the expectation of... Diminishing returns.
Pros:
4TB lots of storage
Was on sale.
Cons:
Didn't feel any quicker than my 3rd gen NVME, felt like it was a waste of money.
Other thoughts:
Am waiting for reasonably priced 8TB NVME drives, under $500.00

“I’m currently using the Samsung SSD, and it’s been a game-changer in simplifying my workflow. The fast read and write speeds make file transfers quick and efficient, which is a huge time-saver for tasks like backing up data or working with large files. It’s compact, durable, and easy to use, whether I’m connecting it to my laptop or desktop. With reliable performance and plenty of storage space, it’s made my life so much easier and is ideal for anyone looking for a dependable, high-speed storage solution.”

Even though my older laptop caps its full speed, (Got my Lenovo in 2022) the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB still delivers a noticeable performance boost, and I’m loving the massive storage.

Needed a fast and large storage to run well with a 4090, 14900k, and 128g ddr5 ram at 7800ms and this competes with speed, performance, write and download all in one. 100% would recommend even for lower end builds

Great timing with the sale right now. Easy to install, 4TBs of storage, and very fast. I've used 980 Pros for a couple of years, but the 1TB was getting low on space. This 4TB drive is perfect for my needs as I video edit and create motion graphics. I love it!

Quite impressive just how large 4th of storage can be.. im using a smaller boot drive to keep windows separate and this 4tb version of Samsungs flagship 990 Pro to store games and all my Cad files on. Impressive data transfer between this and my Nas made me truly appreciate the speed of this nvme setup. Price per gig this made the most sense to me. Seams steep in cost until you factor youd need 4 1 tb to match its capacity and would easily be $100 more. This was the best match between performance, quality, and price
