The Samsung Odyssey G30D 24″ Gaming Monitor is an excellent budget-friendly option for gamers who want smooth, responsive performance without overspending, offering a 180 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium for fluid, tear-free gameplay that’s especially noticeable in fast-paced competitive titles. The 24-inch Full HD VA panel delivers solid contrast and good color quality for gaming and everyday use, while the slim, borderless design and fully adjustable stand (height, tilt, swivel, and pivot) add ergonomic flexibility rarely seen at this price point. Although HDR performance is limited and color accuracy and viewing angles don’t quite match higher-end IPS panels, these trade-offs are expected in this class and don’t detract much from its core purpose. Overall, the Odyssey G30D stands out as a high-value gaming monitor that prioritizes speed, smoothness, and comfort, making it a strong choice for PC and console gamers focused on performance rather than professional color work.

I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey G3 for a while now, and overall, I’m pretty happy with it—especially considering the price. The first thing I noticed was the smoothness. The 144Hz refresh rate really makes a difference, especially when playing fast-paced games like shooters or racing titles. Everything just feels more responsive, and I honestly can’t go back to 60Hz now.
The 1ms response time helps too. There’s barely any motion blur, which is something I used to struggle with on my old monitor. I also really like the stand—it’s super adjustable. I was able to get it positioned exactly how I wanted, which made a bigger difference than I expected for long sessions.
That said, it’s not perfect. The VA panel has good contrast, but the colors don’t pop as much as an IPS display would, and the viewing angles are just okay. Also, at 27 inches, 1080p resolution isn’t as sharp as I’d like—sometimes things look a bit stretched or soft, especially for text-heavy work.
Still, for gaming and general use, I think it’s a solid pick. It gives you a high refresh rate, FreeSync, decent build, and a flexible stand—all without breaking the bank.
Would I recommend it? If you’re a gamer on a budget who values smooth performance over fancy visuals or high resolution, then yes—definitely.

This monitor has completely upgraded my setup. The picture quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and the refresh rate makes everything feel smooth — whether I’m coding, designing, or watching videos. Text looks clean and easy on the eyes, and the brightness is more than enough even in a well-lit room.
The build feels sturdy with a sleek, modern design and thin bezels that make it look great on any desk. Setup was plug-and-play with zero issues, and the adjustable stand makes it comfortable for long hours of use.
For gaming or productivity, it performs perfectly — no ghosting, no lag, and excellent color accuracy. Honestly, for the price, this monitor punches way above its weight.
If you’re looking for a reliable, clear, and fast display for both work and fun, this one’s a winner

This is a great monitor. I use it for my Xbox to watch shows and play games and everything looks great. Frame rate is great. Only quip is that there wasnt built-in in speakers but for the price I'm not complaining. Was easy to hook a speaker up to it or use the headphones with my Xbox. Photo is monitor displaying the newest Dragon Age game.

Great monitor overall: sleek, responsive, and smooth, but with a slight color quirk
I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey G30D 24” for a while now, and honestly, it’s a fantastic monitor for the price. The design is super clean and minimal thin bezels, a nice stand, and that signature Samsung look that feels premium without being flashy. At 180Hz and 1ms response time, it’s extremely smooth for gaming and everyday use. The motion feels very fluid, and I’ve noticed zero input lag. It just feels snappy and responsive, especially paired with a good GPU.
The 24-inch size is kind of the sweet spot, not too big, not too small, and perfect for desks with limited space. It’s great for both gaming and general productivity. Text looks sharp, and the panel itself feels well-built and sturdy.
Now, the only real issue I’ve noticed is with color shifting or weird “browning” when there’s movement on screen. For example, when you move your mouse or when fast objects move across the screen, there’s a subtle brownish tint that appears, especially if you’ve toned down the blue light or are using warmer color settings. It’s not super distracting, but once you notice it, you can’t unsee it. It feels like a panel behavior rather than a defect — probably something with how it handles motion and color transitions at certain warmth levels.
Aside from that, everything else has been great. The brightness is solid, FreeSync Premium works well, and setup was straightforward. It’s a great monitor for someone who wants high refresh rate, low latency, and a clean, modern look without spending a ton.
If Samsung could fix that slight color shift issue, this would easily be a 5-star monitor. But even with that small quirk, it’s still a really solid choice overall.

This monitor is a great budget monitor that’s a great step up from a basic 60hz monitor if you are looking to upgrade your set up for a reasonable price.

I honestly really love this monitor, it’s my first gaming monitor for my first gaming pc, and I’m happy I got it open box excellent, although it didn’t come with the display port cable, it was no worries I just bought a new one. The visuals and colors on it, are great, and although no speakers which sucks I just use my headphones and it works great otherwise. Im glad I checked Best Buy for a good deal and I got one.

I got for $100. 5 stars at this price. decent screen with good refresh rate. at $200 it would be a 4 star since the screen quality isn’t anything special but it Offers enough settings to make it a little better. I think the leg stands are a little space evasive.
