Customers appreciate the POWERbot R9250's cleaning performance, suction power, and ability to handle pet hair, with many noting its quiet operation and ease of use. However, some users experienced issues with navigation, battery life, and the vacuum's height, which limited its access under furniture. The mapping feature also received mixed reviews, with some finding it problematic. Overall, the vacuum's strengths in cleaning and convenience are balanced by shortcomings in navigation and certain design aspects.

I will admit, I only got this as kind of a novelty, but it actually works well. I have a 1,400 sq foot carpeted finished basement that doesn't get a lot of traffic, and I figured this will keep the dust under control. It actually does clean down there very well, and it is nice because it can be scheduled to do it late at night when you don't have to worry about it.
It doesn't pick up as much as my dyson "Human controlled" vacuum, but in all reality this works better because I could run it every night, and clean the same spots over and over, and then it gets more then the dyson would, because I am too lazy to use a manual vacuum everyday. The Powerbot is down there, It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until the carpet is all vacuumed.
It is also nice, coming down in the morning and seeing the little wheel marks in the carpet where it ran last night. And those line are precise, it goes in a straight line, turns around and goes one "powerbot" width over. I guess the Roomba ones run around randomly and hopefully gets every spot, but this powerbot grids it off and hits every spot without excessive overlap. It has "eyes" and it "sees" the area it cleans, and learns the best pastern. It even changes the pastern sometimes, so it seems like it gets areas is did not cover well last time. As if it's learning a better way to clean, I only hope my POWERbot does not become Self-Aware and try to overthrow me from my current rein over my home.
I have a Samsung phone and I have the app on my phone (Smart Things), one of it's first unattended cleaning tasks it got a blanket that was hanging off the edge of the couch got caught in the wheel. It attempted to correct it's own malfunction and could not, it stopped and notified me on the app that it need help (saying specifically the wheel had an item jammed in it). I read the message and told my wife my R2 unit was in danger and I had to go on a mission to the basement to save it.
I can literally be in my office (miles away) and go on the app to tell the powerbot to start cleaning. And an unintentional benefit to having it is that you tend to keep things put away, because while you can be lazy and vacuum around them with a manual vacuum, you don't want to have the powerbot possibly run into or over them, so you keep things put away.
It will do my entire 1,400 sqaure foot basement on one charge, and I even have it set on the highest suction power. It comes with magnetic tape, to put down on areas that you do not want it to go to, like the edge of stairs. I imagine that if I think that the POWERbot does become self-aware and seems like it is planning a revolt, I can always put some magnetic tape in my bedroom doorway, since it cannot pass that line to cause me harm in my sleep. When it gets close to draining the battery completely it will return to it's charging station and recharge on it's own. If there are obstacles in the way it can be fun to watch it try to figure out a way to the charging station. One time I had too much in between the point it got a low battery and the charger. It ended shutting itself off after it could not find a path to the charger, so I had to pick it up and carry it to the charger; hopefully the times I have had to do this has resulted in the POWERbot to realize that it does need me to help it from time to time and a revolt against me will ultimately lead to it's demise as well. The Powerbot should then realize that it needs me more then I need it and logic will dictate that it should allow me to live if it ever become self aware.

Unable to get the wifi to work after several tries. The bot does a good job cleaning... however, unable to get directly to the edges of the walls. Cleaned the entire unit while I was away. Hard wood, carpet and tiles. Nice contraption

Shamefully for as much as these cost they used cheap bushings instead of bearings in the motor for the brush. After just 2 years of maybe twice a week running ours started to make a very loud noise and shuttered like crazy. I pulled the brush out and it was whisper quiet. Thinking the brush had become bent I ordered and new but no fix. Took the vacuum apart and found the motor output shaft wobbling all over. Now ordered new motor case assembly from samsungparts for $100 we hope to get another 2 years I guess.. Shame on samsung for that little bit of cost savings..!

I really like this PowerBot. Has three levels of suction so that works well for me with the pet hair I have. Easy to install, 5 minute set up and I was using it - not like some of the others that have to connect to a phone app, internet, etc. This one is take it out of the box, plug it in, turn it on and it's cleaning. Only one thing - one of the wheels is squeaking - can't figure out which one. Will have to see if I stand the squeak or if I'll return and have them order me a new one.

Does a really good job on wood, tile, and carpet. It will make your wood floor shine since it keeps vacuuming until the power is almost out. It really sucks up alot of dirt and vacuums over vents to get everything it can. Downside is that it will get stuck easy if on loose carpet or elevated areas where it gets high centered even though it has wheels that will extend to try to escape. You get this tape to put on areas where it can fall down stairs or other places off limits, works great. Overall I'll give it a 4 out of 5

The vacuum does a great job at picking up pet hair, dust and kitty litter pieces which is fantastic for our home. It does not get very close tot he walls like maybe a few inches from the walls which is a bit annoying because I constantly have to use my Dyson stick vacuum to go around all of the baseboards and also it is too tall to get under any of my furniture so I have to move and vacuum under all sofas, tv stands book cases and my bed. Overall, on the areas it can reach it does a very good job. Sometimes it does get stuck when it goes under my kitchen table because it gives up quickly when it has a hard time getting around all of the table legs then it starts beeping until I come to get it out. I do think for the price of $999, it definitely could get closer to the walls and also continue to try to get unstuck from under the table for longer before it gives up.

We have a mix of wood floors and rugs and a heavy shedding dog. The Samsung R9250 has been awesome. It picks up dog hair ( and really all dirt) very well. It rarely gets hung up. It seems to get more efficient over time as it learns the House. I had a little trouble connecting to phone but the bot works well even with those added functions. The dust trap is easily emptied but it will fill up in a day or two depending on the dirt load. Our runs several hours on the medium suction setting.

This is my 2nd robot vacuum cleaner and overall it works much better than the other (bOb Sweep) the only downside for me is it doesn't fit under my bed and other areas, whereas the bOb Sweep did. Other than that, the suction is much better and it cleans in a more defined way. Also you can control it much better with the remote.

We bought this with middle expectations of it and it exceeded all of them. It moves around chairs, dogs people fairly easily to get everything done. Battery life is good not great. When it does go back for recharge it does not always remember where it left off so sometimes misses a spot. We use it everyday with 3 dogs and 3 kids and it keeps the floor clean. We had to send it into Samsung for repair one time (bought it in May) due to a vacuum motor failure that was cover under warranty and due to the vacuum getting into so liquid on the floor. Was covered anyway no cost. Very happy with performance and support i’d Buy it again

I am in my 70s, have back problems, a large home and several animals. The Samsung-Powerbot has been a blessing! It does a great job on picking up dog and cat hair! I am pleasantly surprised my pets are not afraid of the robotic vacuum.(We all spend way too much time watching it clean up after us!!!) It is less noisy than a regular vacuum cleaner and sooo much easier on the back! I would give it a 5 star rating, but I'm still learning how to use the remote properly and have not attempted the WiFi connection.

I first tried the least expensive Roomba. It did okay but it was wandering all over the place. If it hit something it would turn 90 or 180 degrees and head off in another random direction. Eventually it got most of the floor dust but this Samsung is far superior. It seems to remember the room and the location of obstacles. I really like this one....BUT - to be fair: I'm comparing the cheapest Roomba with the most expensive Samsung. Hardly scientific!!! Maybe the priciest Roomba would work just as good.

This is my second vacuum. It is the same quality as my other model. I prefer the 9000 models, 7000 model was sub par. This one does a great job, charge lasts long enough to do 2 bedrooms, hallway and living room. (my other unit does the rest of the house). I have many pets and these vacuums have been an absolute pleasure!! I have been using my first one for over a year and have had zero problems.

We named our vac Tony... Tony does a great job at picking up stuff from the floor... I have two dogs and with them I used to always have dog hair around, with Tony I never see any hair or anything else. Over all I am happy with it.The problems I have had with Tony is that he bups into things or stays stuck under things that are a little higher then it's sensor. This is my second one... The first one accidently sucked up water that had spilt on the floor and Tony number one died, so make sure no water around. Other then those issues it is a good product just too expensive.
