Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the POWERbot Turbo's impressive suction power and excellent cleaning performance, especially on carpets. However, feedback reveals concerns about battery life and navigation issues, with some users reporting difficulties finding the charging station and the robot getting stuck. The high price point is also a recurring criticism. While ease of use is generally praised, limitations in mapping and the robot's height preventing cleaning under certain furniture are also noted.

Powerbot Brush VCA-RPB40 No Longer Available

Three months old and the brush bearings seized. The brush VCA-RPB40 is no longer sold by anyone, including Samsung themselves so we now own a $1000 paperweight. Don't buy one of these if you can't find anywhere to buy the brush as you'll need it. We also have an iRobot Roomba 650 that cost $299.99 and it does just as good a job as the R9350 and is quieter (not to mention SPARE PARTS ARE READILY AVAILABLE FOR IT). If Samsung doesn't get their act together we'll get another Roomba and e-waste this one.

This thing really Sucks! (In a Good Way!)

I was a little Skeptical of the Samsung powerBOT R9350. Due to the fact that I was looking at the R7070 with the Edge Cleaner. The R9350 DOES NOT have the Edge Cleaner Plus. But I am in NO WAY disappointed. This Baby has Extreme Suction Power. In Turbo Mode, the battery does not last as long but boy does it pick up the dirt. The Select and Go Features of the Bot are top notch. The R7070 and R 7040 Do not have this feature. What it does is make a Floor plan of the house and stores it in its memory. Then ant any point in time, you can recall your "house" Via the Samsung Smart Things App on your phone. You can then select which room to be cleaned, and at a push of a button it does the work for you! But the app does need a little refinement. Its a little clunky and you cannot delete floorplans. Hoping Samsung fixes this with another update. I've had this for about 2 Weeks and I have it run once a day. Mixture of Hardwood, Tile and Carpet. This runs while I am away. Let me tell you that I have never been happier with how clean my floors are. Especially since I don't have to vacuum them by hand. I actually enjoy walking bear foot when I get home now. There is no dirt, debris or dog hair on the ground! The Samsung powerBOT R9530 is a great investment if you can free yourself of a good chunk of change. But if the App could get a refresh, it would be a lot more smoother. P.S I still have not figured out how to get it to work via Google Home. I want to be able to use my voice to control the vacuum. I think I need to do some more research, but I do believe that you might need to purchase the Samsung Hub in order of it to work with Goggle Home or Alexa.

Meet Wall-E The Samsung PowerBot R9350

    Posted .

Vacuuming is no longer a chore! Meet Wall-E our Samsung PowerBot R9350. Wall-E is a friendly Bot that zooms around vacuuming all the crumbs and dust bunnies. Wall-E comes with an extra filter, remote control, barriers, cleaning brush and a charging base. I am very impressed with how smart Wall-E the Samsung PowerBot is. I fully charged Wall-E before sending him out to vacuum. Now Wall-E is a smart PowerBot, but he does require time to become familiar with his surroundings. At times Wall-E will bump into obstacles in his way, but he quickly figures out he needs to find another path. When Wall-E needs to have his dust bin emptied or needs to be charged he returns to his charging home. After I empty the dust bin Wall-E the Smart Bot shows me just how smart he is and resumes vacuuming where he left off. The Samsung PowerBot has Wi-Fi connectivity and works with Alexa, Google Assistant, a smart phone and even works with a remote control. You will need to download the Smart Home App. Setting up the app is fairly quick and easy. By far the Samsung PowerBot has the best powerful suction. With the cyclone force Wall-E is a powerful cleaning Bot. The dust bin on Wall-E is roomy enough so he can hold lots of crumbs and dust bunnies. Working the Powerbot with the included remote control is a breeze. I can point the remote to have the Bot perform spot cleaning. With the visionary mapping plus I can map out the room(s) Wall-E will be vacuuming. There is no worries that Wall-E will tumble down the steps as he is one smart PowerBot that is equipped with full view sensors. I can auto clean, spot clean or manual clean with the PowerBot. The boundary markers allows me to keep Wall-E out of an area I do not want him to venture in. I can have Wall-E clean on a schedule by setting up the auto clean mode. The filter is washable which is very nice and saves money on having to replace the filter. The Samsung PowerBot works flawlessly. Wall-E adjusts nicely going from a floor to a carpet. Whether Wall-E is vacuuming my rugs, wood floors, area rugs or tile floors he leaves no crumbs behind. Compared to other bots, Wall-E is quiet, more powerful and does a much better job. Wall-E is not only a Smart PowerBot he is part of our family. An amazing bot that does a phenomenal job of keeping our floors spotless.

    Great Cleaning robot

We have many Samsung device in my home, this robot is able integrate with other Samsung device. I have two Powerbots (R9350 and R7040). R7040 is working very well, hence, I purchased 9350 again. You can control PowerBot using WiFi and remote controller. You can connect PowerBot to wifi and then control it via your phone, Samsung TV, or other Samsung Device. For R7040, it works very well for config Wifi or control via Samsung device. But, I meet some trouble on 9350 PowerBots. I can't connect to R9350 PowerBot using my Samsung Phone (using SmartHome or Smartthings Apps). I tried rollback to old version, it still not working for me. I did Internet search, there are many people have same issue with me. Finally, I installed Samsung SmartHome app on my iPhone and finish Wifi setting, then, I can find it from my SmartThings app. When I back to my Samsung phone, I can see R9350 PowerBot my app. But, I still not able to control it using my Samsung phone. Hence, I use remote controller to control my 9350 PowerBot or control it using my iPhone. This is the only problem I have. R9350 has Extreme Suction Power. In Turbo Mode, the battery doesn't as long, BUT R9350 pick up the dirt. The Select and Go Features is very useful feature (R7040 Do not have this feature), it will keep cleaning the area you want to clean it. Once R9350 make floor plan in his memory, you can just ask it to clean specific room. I used it my 2nd floor (carpet), I let it run by itself, I am very happy with how clean my floor are. I have to vacuum my carpet by myself. The R9350 has two rubber wheels, it can easy cross some stuff on the floor. Sometimes, my son leave his book on floor, PowerBot will cross it and continue clean the room. I am not sure, this is good or not. But, it is very useful for me. It can easy transit on different surfaces or thresholds without the need of human assistance. Overall, this is a very good clean robot. I am a fan of newest technological gadgets, I am always trying different gadget on market. I am very enjoy with R9350. The only drawback need to improve is the apps. You can also control it using Alexa or Google Hub, but, I didn't try it out. You can spot clean on demand, set a schedule cleaning, or change suctioning power (or you can say noise level). If you are looking for a clean robot to clean your home, Samsung POWERbot R9350 is a good choice.

Powerful vacuum if you figure out how to charge it

It really cleans where is able to reach. Meaning it won't clean corners or close to walls. It can't go back to its base and charge on its own. You have to take it to its base and I had to put weights on top of it to be able to charge it because the charging base is really not tall enough to reach the bottom of the vacuum where the charging port is! For what you pay it's really annoying so I returned it. Dies really fast. Also is so tall it can't go under the furniture. The roomba is better I got back to it because even not being as powerful, clean corners, goes under the furniture and charge on its own. I just run the roomba more often so the cleaning quality is the same without the waste of your time. WhTs the point of a robot that can't function on its own?

Powerbot does what you expect an item of this design would do ...vacuums the floor well. PROS: The variable suction power is a plus; the downstairs ledge avoidance feature is terrific, and its careful approach to standing objects is impressive. CONS: its height prevents cleaning under cabinet overhangs, it often fails to get out from in between legs of chairs it was able to maneuver into, and the magnetic boundary tape doesn't stop it from going beyond the desired cleaning boundary. It's a good vacuum boat. Its capability requirements just need a bit of tweaking

    Great automated vacuum

To give a perspective, I’ve been extensively using Samsung POWERbot R9350 Turbo Robot Vacuum for over 3 weeks. The biggest surprise was when I first vacuumed my house with a regular corded one, then used R9350 and wen I thought the floors were clean, I realized that POWERbot still picked up some dust in the bin. In comparison to R7040 this model has way more suction in the turbo mode and bigger dust bin. I love the mapping feature which detects the layout of my house and in the app it looks like a blue print, then you can select which rooms to clean and it just goes by itself. Another great feature is ability to use it with alexa, there is nothing better than lying on the bed and with a voice command tell your vacuum to turn on while you are watching a TV. The remote is well designed, has a build in laser pointer that guides the bot, in comparison to the one from R7040 which doesn’t have this feature. Overall, it’s a great daily vacuum. It detects obstacles and goes around them, but something is lost between chair legs. It detects sudden height changes like floors and avoids those areas.

It does clean well, though, doesn't sync well with Alexa and mapping is subpar. If the updates and app improve these couple issues it will be a much improved product.

The Powerbot has great suction and is quieter than the Roomba 980. However, it seems like Samsung put all their effort into the hardware and neglected the software. This bot misses areas and gets stuck on almost anything. It typically backs up onto something, stops, and gives an error message. It does not map while vacuuming like other bots. You have to send it out on a special mapping run, which fails if there is an error (and there is almost every time). The app gives errors (unable to connect) EVERYTIME I start it, and forces me to click through the features of the app like it’s the first time I’ve used it. I have downloaded both versions of the app - Smart Home is the least buggy, but it’s still terrible. This bot has so much potential but the poor software and buggy app ruin it. I suggest you buy a Roomba 980. Mine runs like a Swiss watch everyday and rarely has an issue (I have two large furry dogs).

I've owned a few robotic vacuums over the years and this one is my favorite so far. It is very powerful and, while it doesn't seem to navigate quite as mathmatically as the Neato, it still does a good job getting into corners and covering the entire room in general. If there is any negative, it's that the Wifi stuff could work better, and that it's too tall to get under a lot of furniture.

My wife and I had another Samsung Powerbot that was 18 months old that worked so well we got this one. The Samsung warranty is not that great, but the Best Buy warranty will be needed. Both vacuums work great (I have bought another one to replace the 1st one because I ran out of parts for the Frankenstein vacuum) and now need to get this one taken care of because of a battery issue that is out of Samsung warranty at 13 months old. I still believe this is the best working robot vacuum on the market and have both set to run every day due to the hair factory of a dog that I also have.

Good, not great. It requires sticker tape barriers. The kit comes with one. ONE? Is not enough. I called to get more from the Samsung company which was a hassle and I got at least 7 of these rolls of tape. These tape down to the floor and have a magnetic on top which tells the Vacuum not to pass through. I paid $165 for just these things. Roomba has virtual wall boxes which are far more practical. I like the Vacuum so that is why I kept it. However, be very precise about where you want to clean because she runs into things and gets stuck. You have to Vacuum proof you house. Rediculous. I have 2 roombas and they are by far better manipulators. However, the Samsung robot has a large brush head and different modes of cleaning (strong, medium, quiet). I kept it. Bottom line: Nice vacuum but be prepared to shell out some money if you have areas you don't want the vacuum to go. (For the magnetic sticky tape). Jenny, Fredericksburg, Virginia

This one is very useful. Especially the spot clean (point a laser dot and it follows it like a cat following a laser dot:) lol If the battery doesn't die out like my iRobot sitting in my garage than I will be one happy camper. My 6 year old son made a mess after eating. I told him to clean his mess. Instead of grabbing the Dyso Hand vac he grab the remote and spot point all his mess and than sent it back home to sleep. It's also very strong it like to rearrange my 4 leg chairs when it gets stuck, kind of funny when the chair is moving around the kitchen:) lol To tell you how much I like this vac, I will be buying 4 new one legged stool so I can keep the Vac:) One minor Con, it uses a thin flat barrier strip to keep it from going to unwanted places (wish it could have someting like a GPS to mark the spot for it to not enter). I don't know if I hate it yet as I don't have a need for this feature yet. If I take it upstairs it would probably work ok. I havent used all it's fetures yet, just used the importaint ones to me, if I do and find it works well mabe I will give it another star:)

Bought this with high hopes but was disappointed. Maybe it was just me but I was not able to get it to map my house correctly. It would consistently get lost and not clean everywhere then the battery would die and I would have to carry it back to the base. I'm a Samsung lover but sadly had to return this item.

I have this and a Roomba 880 and believe the Samsung is better in almost every way. The Samsung is more powerful, goes in a grid instead of randomly, has a larger bin, and doesn't have as many pieces to clean. However, the Samsung is louder, larger so it can't get under some spots, and the battery doesn't seem to last as long.

I really wanted to like Samsung's Premier powerbot Robot vacuum cleaner. And in every way I do, except for it doesn't work on throw rugs that have black in their pattern. Every time the powerbot would Traverse my throw rug which has a distinct pattern of black throughout it would surmise that the black was the edge of a Stairway and become catatonic. It would start doing some sort of a jig trying to find its way off of the throw rug. As a result it would not clean the whole room. The whole purpose of purchasing a robot vacuum is so that the house can be clean while you're away. But if every time it hits your throw rugs it gets in a locked condition then what's the use? I contacted Samsung and asked if there was a fix in the form of either a software update or some mechanical intervention, and they acknowledge the problem but offered no solution. Regretfully, this was returned to the store.
