Good price on a large-capacity external hard drive that does not take up much space on my desk. It's very easy to set up and use. I use it to store backup copies of important files from my home computer (documents, pictures, videos, and other data files) and then I keep it in a location other than my home. I have other (older) Seagate external hard drives I use for the same purpose on other computers. Seagate makes good stuff. I have never had a problem with any of their hard drives.

Easy setup for either PC or Mac. We have both platforms. Haven't set up the "Lyve" feature yet. Don't really need the 200 GB of OneDrive storage as we each have a TB with Office 365, but a nice little perk nonetheless. Have had good results with the Seagate brand in the past, so this was an easy choice to make. Good price, good reputation. Wish they had more than a two year warranty, but we have redundant backup, so all is good.

Just a great product. Good for backing up anything you have on your computer. Plenty of memory to spare. Device is also compatible as a extra drive for the Xbox One (however it can only be used for that in that scenario). I use this one for work and personal use. The interface is extremely user friendly therefore if you have never used one before it will still be easy to understand. Highly recommend this over some of the other brands from experience of use as I have been using E.H.D.'s for years.

This Seagate - Backup Plus 4TB External USB 3.0/2.0 External Hard Drive is very efficient and adds tons of external storage for all of my pictures, music files, documents, movies, etc. I'm so glad that I purchased it, because now I have so much space on my C: drive, and this helps to make my desktop computer more efficient. I wanted a big external hard drive, so that I won't need to buy another one for a very long time.

I was in need of some additional storage for my home network and this drive was a good balance of price to size. It has worked flawlessly on Windows, Mac, Linux and used as network storage with a Netgear router. Excellent drive, my only regret is not getting a larger one!

The Seagate - Backup Plus Desktop 4TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Hard Drive is great for backing up big files, such as photos and music/videos. Also, it's great for using this to transfer files to a new computer when you upgrade to a new system.

Once again Best Buy had the best price. On sale plus price matched Amazon. Set up is simple. Backup software is free but you have to download it. Software is OK. No fan on the hard drive but have been running it for a few weeks and it has not gotten hot. All in all very happy with purchase.

This is a great device to store additional data on. I use it as a backup, but don't use the software provided, because it can't automatically delete old images, so I end up with a huge amount of incremental backups that fill up my drive. That is the only con I have for this, but there are plenty of free backup solutions that will resolve this issue.

I bought this to copy files from my computer network that had well over 1.5TB of information. I added another 750GB of photos that I'd acquired over the last 15 years. It was very easy to set up and tHis hard drive should give me enough capacity for all I need.

This hard drive fit my needs. The only problem is that it needed to be reformatted in order to work with my IMac . I wish that I had known that prior to purchase. Tech support from Seagate was efficient and courteous .in reformatting for an iMac I lost the ability to use the Dashboard feature.Otherwise, I am pleased with the drive.

i bought this external drive to expand my internal drive of 3 Gb. i dd a little shopping around and this one was on sale at the time and the number of gigs for the price was nice. so far i only used it to transfer file and it has been sitting on the shelf until the next transfer so that is why i gave it a 4 star only.

I not only picked this because the price was right-the size was right too. It was easy to install on my 3.0 USB port. I can't believe how small the desktop hard drives have gotten and how much storage space they provide.

Good deal on ALOT of space. Didn't mind the extra size compared to other slim externals. It's not too much bigger but if you NEED to have a small external then go for one of the slims. All in all, this product is perfect for anyone who wants more space than they'll ever need for a good price.

If you are looking for tons of storage and a simple plug and play device, then this one is perfect for that. Very easy to use with "auto" back-up feature available.

Excellent external hard drive at a very good price. Now I can save and store my movie projects without running out of space. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who works with a lot of digital media.

So far very impressed by the ease of use and of the large capacity of this drive. Iphone Ipad app lets you download pictures wirelessly but was able to store multiple sources of pictures and files. I think this is one of the best deals for external hard drives

This was an impulse buy. I needed an external that could pack as many TB without going over my budget. After two weeks of use, it works great and I am quite happy. No noise or overheating.

We needed a larger hard drive to store our movies for our home entertainment server. This drive work well, isn’t too noisy, and is fairly fast for the price.
