    Easy to use. 5 (really 4.5) GB of storage. Small and compact size. Light weight. Nice value overall. No complaints from me.

    I chose this portable external hard drive instead of a desktop one. I have a 5TB desktop, and it has worked good for as long as I've had it. But sometimes it lags, and I wanted a portable one that doesn't need a power source. I have other 2TB portable Seagate drives that work well. This one is a little more bulky, not as thin as the 2TB, so I plan to keep it on my desktop. It is an additional backup source. I have several external backup drives in case one is defective. It's extra time to back up more than once, but well worth it for the peace of mind.

    I'm using this on my Mac Pro. It works ok, but then it will randomly disappear from my desktop. I therefore need to run disk first aid to get it back to mount. If it keeps working sporadically like this, I'll probably return it.

    I have had several of this model wd drive and each one lasted less than a year. Wd warranties them but buyer beware. Make sure this is used for transfers not storage. Backup whatever you store on this disk
