We recently purchased a second dash cam for our second vehicle and this was the recommended hardwire kit. When my husband went to install he realized it has a straight end on it and not a 90 degree like the previous one that was purchased two years ago. If you are hardwiring the dash cam the straight end makes it more difficult to connect as the wire is not flexible. It sticks out so much more resulting in a less professional installation. They no longer carry the kit with the 90 degree angle which is truly unfortunate.

Works well if you know how to do it yourself. Just be sure you have the right kind of fuses, otherwise you'll have to work around it like I did using inline fuse pigtails and fuse taps for the proper style.

I purchased this to go with my Rexing - V1P Plus 4K UHD Front and Rear Dash Cam for parking monitor functionality. However, there were no instructions except to a link to a video that didn't actually match the Hardwire Kit I got. In particular, the connector had a right angle fuse attached to the prongs rather than a straight fuse. The right angle fuse limited the slots I could utilize, since it got in the way of some larger fuses. Also, the parking monitor functionality I got this for doesn't actually seem to work. When parked, the dash cam should remain off until some G-force occurs (e.g. car is hit) then recording should start to catch the culprit. However, I found that it just records continuously, draining my car battery in the process. When I didn't drive my car for a week, my car battery was completely dead. This hardwire kit is supposed to detect low voltage and shut down so this doesn't happen. But it seems that aspect doesn't work either.

Kit works, but Rexing v3 dashcam says "install smart kit" when setting standby recording options. Perhaps this is a firmware bug.

The product supplied is of superior quality. My grip is that the Best Buy in New Hartford, NY does not have instillation for its auto products. You have to go elsewhere. Shame on Best Buy!

Ihad my dash cam instaled at the Topeka best buy. The instaler did a very very professional job. His name is RYON great job Ryou. We will be back to the Best Buy for more of our shopping.

Brad from Best Buy’s installation department used the wire to install my V1P Max Dash Cam. It works great! Recommend using the recommended wiring and the Geek Squad Installtion guys!

Necessary part to install dual dash cameras with..

Have 2 of them for 2 different vehicles. Both I had to cut off the fuse to hook them up in the vehicles. I hooked them up to a fuse in the vehicles so that they go thru the fuse first to work.

This is a great fine if you do not want to use the the lighter plug and can use the power from the fuse box 

Works pretty well if installed right. I had best buy do it and everything went great.

Perfect for anyone that needs to hard wire their dashcam also parking sensor.

This kit is necessary so you don’t sacrifice an auxiliary power outlet to use the dash cam system. Works as intended.

Very poor installation instructions, had to use YouTube as a source of information. Also kit came with only set up for standard ATC fuses while many vehicles use micro2 fuses which meant I had to purchase additional fuses and fuse taps which severely delayed the installation.

A must have for the Rexing dash cam. Eliminates wires and allows for the impact recording feature when the vehicle is parked and power is off
