    Love the Sonos One

We currently have 6 of these speakers spread around the house and 2 of them are acting as rear surround speakers for our entertainment system. We absolutely love these speakers for individual rooms - the ability to utilize alexa to access smart lighting is awesome and it also interfaces with eachother so we can literally spread one sound source throughout the house or pick and choose which speaker(s) we'd like to have on at the same time. eventually we will buy a few more for the garage and the rest of the kids rooms so we all have them, but these are great and for larger rooms we just upgrade one step to get a little deeper bass and that's usually good for the entire floor (depending how large your space is). These have been one of the best upgrades we've done in our home aside from alexa and other smart devices. Highly recommend these speakers.

My home in Charlotte is wired up with Sonos products. Both my homes have echo and Alexa. So I couldn’t resist the combination in Sonos one. I plugged one in over the fireplace and it sounded wonderful as all Sonos products do. I put another one on the other end of the fireplace and the pair is fabulous. The sound is great. And Alexis was there too. Another wonderful Sonos product and my friend Alexa.

    Alexa Integration like the Echo

I like the integration into my Sonos System and the quality of the speaker is excellent just like the other Sonos products. Alexa still picks up voices even from the TV and wants to act on them. Considering the price is the same as the Sonos Play One, it’s a better deal because you get Alexa as well, and her skills should improve over time.

The speaker has a great sound and connects easily to Alexa but the wake word cannot be changed. If the wake word could be changed then it would be perfect.

I am already a solid backer for Sonos as the sounds quality vs price cannot be beaten. When i saw that they brought out the SONOS One with Alexa built in, i saw this would be perfect for the bedroom and/or kitchen. This speaker puts out the expected SONOS quality we have come to know, but having the ability to skip tracks or play a song without touching the unit or cellphone is next level.

Wanted these for our brand new home that was not pre-wired for speakers throughout the house. After debating on getting them, I noticed they went down in price because Sonos released Gen 2 version. When I looked at the differences between Gen 1 & 2, it was a better and cheaper option to stay with Gen 1. The speakers are great. Sound quality and fidelity is perfect enough for each room. It is a good alternative for what I ultimately wanted, which was multi-ceiling speakers, but this does the trick. Plus, I can add more down the line or move them to different parts if the room to get better sound quality. Overall a great speaker at the lower cost. Don’t know if I would gave jumped on it at full price, as $200 per speaker can become very expensive when wabting multiples throughout.

This is my 1st Alexa (or Alexa-like) product, and I am thoroughly unimpressed! I've owned 2 SONOS Play 1's for several years, recently purchased a Play 3, making the Alexa Play 1 my 4th SONOS overall. I was beyond bummed when I realized I wouldn't be able to mount this particular speaker! SO BUMMED! Then I was just flat out angry when I set it on my kitchen bar and noticed it flippin' wobbles. SERIOUSLY? I'm a heavy bass kinda girl so a wobbly speaker that can't be mounted to a wall or speaker stand is a no go for me! Alexa doesn't really live up to the hype either... she has misunderstood several requests to play specific playlists from my SONOS. When I was setting up and connecting Alexa to my SONOS account it required me to pick a default app for my music but was missing several options that I use most often when listening to my SONOS... like SONOS itself for starters. When I first got my SONOS I used songs from my various apps and saved them as SONOS playlists. I typically go to Napster 1st as it is where I started my digital collection.... over 10,000 songs over the last 10+ yrs. Napster is also MIA. Rediculous considering SONOS allows you to use it. What good is an Alexa based SONOS speaker if she can't understand, play, or use the app where the vast majority of my playlists and playlist are stored... especially when my regular SONOS and SONOS based app do? Another issue I have is that both of my TVs and over 200 digital movies are all through my 2 Chome Cast devices and/ or Google Play Movies. I knew our relationship was off to a bad start when one of the questions they tell you to ask her during setup was "Who do you think will win the World Series" and she had the audacity to say the LA Dogers to a native Houstonian. Yeah... it got AWKWARD!!!

Great sound quality end of always been a big fan of Sonos speakers. Bought the One hoping it will easily be compatible with my Alexa echo… I had a little trouble with that, but after much persistence got it to an enable Alexa. Wish it was a bit easier to use as a Bluetooth speaker. The app is hopeful but do not answer all my questions. Overall I do love the speaker.

Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. Playing tunes from Apple Music is easily accommodated through the Sonos App, with the ability to further control playback/pause, volume up/down, and skipping tracks from the capactive touch controls on top of the speaker. Alexa stills needs a bit of work - she speaks louder than the speaker volume control is set for which is disturbing - but they may be able to improve that with software updates. The microphones don't hear as well as the Amazon Echo, but the speaker is much, much better.

Purchased this a few weeks ago now and am planning to purchase another shortly. This was my first Sonos product and honestly I am blown away by their build, sound, and feature quality. Starting off with the unboxing, it could be a little nicer for the price of a spearker - but that's nit picking.. once out of the box you can immediately feel the quality of the product in your hand. It feels solid, weighted properly, not too heavy but noticeably sturdy. The feel is also very high quality. The touch features on the top are a little hard to see at times but once you get use to it that isn't a problem.. and honestly with Alexa installed I hardly find myself using the touch feature at all. Installation was a breeze, I connected the power and ethernet cables, downloaded the sonos app, created an account, connected and registered my device, and it was ready to use. The sound quality is deep and full of rich tones. I do not find myself missing any high or low notes. If you plan to use Alexa you will need to also download the Amazon Alexa app and create an account for that as well, this allows you to connect your Sonos One with other Alexa enabled devices in your home, like an echo. Connecting to other devices is also a breeze and you can communicate between them without any issues. The Sonos application is honestly the shortfall of the whole experience, the GUI is lacking a certain appeal that should have been accounted for by a brand that presents it self as a high end audio/tech company - this is true for both the Android and PC platforms. The pandora application specifically lacks the ability to rate a song, however; you can command Alexa to rate it for you.. so at least Amazon thought of a way to do it. In the end, I think this product is an amazing addition to any smart home, and a great way to introduce yourself into the Sonos brand if you haven't already. The problems that I have with the product are strictly software related and can be fixed in future software/firmware updates. Hopefully Sonos as a brand will be attentive and responsive to the consumers and our feedback.

WOW!! This is an amazing speaker with wonderful sound especially when paired with another Sonos One. The Alexia is still a little buggy but I know this will all be worked out in the near future, some of the issue have already been fixed since I purchased it a few weeks ago. I have since added another Sonos One and the Playbase and feel I've gotten my moneys worth.

1st time buyer of Sonos, finally made the decision to buy, and so far not disappointed at all. Also new to Alexa, and it is so much fun to control with my voice. These speakers surprisingly fill a good size room with really good sound. I bought several of these and put them in several rooms. Love them for there sound as well as what Alexa brings along with them.

I'm 58 and "old school' when it came to music, thinking hat you need and amp, preamp, and speaker to get great sound reproduction. Man, was I wrong, these things ROCK, especially the Sonos 5s I LOVE Sonos! I now have 4 Sonos 1s, 2 Sonos 5s, Subwoofer, and 2 Sonos amps to run my existing wired speakers. The amp is IN the speaker (class D, so great quality) and you have to do is plug it in. Set up so easy a caveman (me) can do it, and the app is very easy to use. It allows you to play one, two, or all your rooms with the touch of a button from your phone, and you can 'equalize' each room in relation to the others. VERY cool. The packaging is equal to Apple, and look and feel (and sound) oozes quality. I would HIGHLY recommend Sonos products.
