    I caught this monitor on sale, and it checks every box. It looks great, fits the PS5 aesthetic, and performs very well, whether you like fps games, sports games, or otherwise. I highly recommend it. I was on the fence after reading of some of the other users reviews, as it seems Sony may have a bit of QC issues with this product. But, if you you get the unit i did, you will be very pleased, as I haven’t experienced any of the issues people have mentioned. Overall, great monitor.

    Was very hyped for this monitor. Now, I am going to return it. It should not be this complicated to set this monitor up. HDR is not working properly. Display port keeps flickering and very unstable. I have plugged and unplugged the monitor. I have downloaded the Inzone hub app on my PC to see if it assist and nothing. Very Very disappointed with this. If I don't find a solution for this ill be returning this product later this week. I don't see anyone that reviewed this monitor online speak of any of these problems which begs the question, is my monitor faulty? or is someone not saying what they should be saying.

If you feel you may have an issue with you M90 INZONE product, please reach out to your place of purchase to arrange for an exchange. If the auto picture mode is on please disable this to see if this maybe the cause of your HDR issues. Please make sure your display port cable is of a latest version. Sometimes cables are the easiest cause for concern and fix most issues with flickering and or picture quality like you have described.

    So sad about Sony Izone

    My best advice I can give to anyone considering this monitor is to read every review you can from real purchasers and not to believe any reviews from professional paid reviewers. I own 3 Sony tv's, a Sony home theater system, 2 PS5's, 2 PS4 pros, a PS3, and a PSP. Up until I encountered the new Sony Inzone series, I had never returned a Sony product. I have returned both the Inzone H9 headsets and the Inzone M9 monitor the day after I got them. I have never been so disappointed with Sony products as I was with the Inzone series. Just can't put it any plainer than that.

    Seems great at first.... then it wants to cut off and say "searching for signal" while im gaming. Im using a ps5 ...... also it will turn off and then right back on and the color will look washed out until i power it off and back on.... im gonna see if i can get my money back.

    Not worth the money

    This monitor has the longest refresh from 120 hz to 60hz so if you can imagine using the ps5 button to go to your screen to invite friends it takes a while. HDR is blegh and not even worth calling hdr for this price point you might as well save up for an oled

    Disappointment out of the box. Three issues- menu joystick did not move to left, monitor setup menu randomly popped up while using the monitor, monitor would black out in the middle of use with a no signal message. Sony used to make great products. Reading reviews indicates they have some quality issues.

    Great picture quality with actual HDR

    Sony has really made a great monitor with the Inzone M9. 4K resolution, 144Hz, HDMI 2.1 and true HDR for under a thousand place the M9 in a great market spot. The picture quality is top notch and the panel has no problems keeping up with quick motion while gaming. While gaming in HDR, highlights are properly bright and stand out nicely against backgrounds. While torture testing with small highlights on black backgrounds you can see the limitations of the local dimming zones but in practical usage I do not notice any distracting blooming. For the best motion handling I reccomended using the 'fast' response setting as that removed the ghosting I saw with the factory defaults without introducing overshoot. Speaking of settings I really like that Sony has a software suite to control the monitor without having to use the on board buttons. With most of the good stuff listed above, there are a few negatives. Firstly there is the stand, I can appreciate the asthetic Sony was going for in trying to match the PS5, but in concentrating on form they missed the mark on function. The stand is sturdy enough but lacking in usable adjustability. The height adjustment affects how close you are to monitor as well since it slides on an angled rail. This design also prevents any rotation and limits tilt. It's usable but not awesome and takes up more desk space than needed. I chose to mount my monitor and came across another issue, the vesa mounting holes are recessed into the back of the monitor with very little clearance. I was able to get around this with individual spacers and longer screws but it's still something to note for how far it sits away from the mounting surface. The other minor let down is speakers. These things are beyond tinny sounding with no mids or bass to speak of. I wasn't expecting amazing sound quality, but given that this is advertised as a companion for the PS5 as well as PC, I was hoping for something more than greeting card quality. Also, while my particular monitor has not exhibited any of the problems others have experienced with their panels QC may be a concern for some. In short, the Inzone M9 is a decent value proposition offering great HDR picture quality and HDMI 2.1 connectivity. The stand design is less than ideal but still functional and you'll want to make sure you use external audio.

    Decent performing, but not steller.

    I like the monitor, performs decently enough. Colors were pretty off when i got it, but was able to calibrate fortunately. It looks good - HDR is ok, but nothing like my LG C2. It’s got a lot of issues with switching modes. It gets there, but takes forever and flashes annoyingly. I’m using a VESA arm from Dell, thats been fantastic. Overall, I think its adequate but should cost less for what it is.

    My unit did not have dead pixels or similar, but instead has an issue where once my PC goes to sleep, it will no longer be recognized. It happens with DP and HDMI. Only option is to pull the power from the monitor to get it working again.

    Very disappointed with products so called capabilities. The screen will flicker and the colors are off, kind of as if the brightness is messed up. Speakers sound like a tin can. For the price would have expected what was offered. Took it back and would not recommend for anyone if Sony can’t figure out the color or brightness issues.

      Sorry to hear that the open box did not include the stand. If you could find a wall mount or stand that supports (100mm x 100mm VESA), that would be one solution. Second option would be to see if retail would take it back and purchase a new in the box version.

    For the cost it’s not flawless. “Searching for signal” takes forever and kicks in and out while playing a game. Then sometimes comes back half screen, needing to restart the monitor to fix it. All while using the proper supplied hdmi cables that came with the PS5.

      Do you have the right type of HDMI cable needed to transfer audio/video signals between your monitor and your PlayStation 5? We recommend premium High-Speed (HDMI 2.0 to 2.0b) or Ultra High-Speed (HDMI 2.1a) which provides the best signal transfer capability. The cable has a bandwidth of 48Gbps, transfers resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz.

      Note: When using High-Speed or Ultra High-Speed cables, the video output of the device may need to be set properly.

    Sony, a long time leader in display and audio technology has finally made a gaming display. How does their first venture into this space hold up in a very competitive market? Let’s find out. Fist of all, the specs of this panel look great on paper. 144hz, 4K, integrated KVM, local dimming, HDR with an actual VESA HDR 600 certification, and each one comes with a color calibration result showing that your panel met specs before leaving the factory. Specs may look great, but real life performance will tell the real story. The box and its contents are all pretty spartan, you get the monitor, stand, and massive power brick. No cables of any kind are included, and the two prong leader cable that goes to the brick is comically short. Also included are simple assembly instructions, two screws, and a loop to help with cable management. Be careful that you don’t lose the small plastic bags with these parts. The stand needs those two screws to be installed, and it’s ready to snap in the display. Once attached to the very unique stand design (which is clearly inspired by the PS5’s style), one design shortcoming becomes evident. It’s not easy at all to install cables into the display as they all face down and the stand gets in the way. I found by moving it to the edge of the desk and tiling it all the way back you can see what you are doing. The stand’s design did free up space on my desk. After connecting it up, it’s ready to go. It came up flawlessly in Windows 11, with refresh and resolution going right to 144hz and 4K. The Sony Inzone hub software allows you to customize and configure many of the options for the display, and is easier to use than the OSD menus. For Sony being an audio company, the speakers in this display are barely passable. They really are bad. It’s nice that they are there if you need them, but they sound faint and tinny. I also found that it’s possible to have both the speakers and headphones working at the same time, which lead to some weirdness when I was using the headphone out on the display for my much better speakers. Working with the display and settings, I found that local dimming on high causes a lot of bloom. Even on a fairly neutral background, the mouse pointer would cause bloom just moving across the screen. Leaving it at low seems to help with bloom, but at the loss of some contrast. HDR is one of the big features of this display, and it works well, but there are caveats to HDR with PCs that this display doesn’t really address by itself. Since HDR tells the monitor explicitly what color and brightness to use, when SDR content is displayed, it looks dim and dull. This display locks out most settings when HDR is active, so there is no way to change the color space or correct this in the display. What I was able to do was set the “digital vibrance” on the Nvidia control panel to somewhere between 60-65, which makes colors pop again without looking really unnatural. Maybe a future update to the monitor or changes to how windows works (such as automatic switching based on content) will allow for more options here. For gaming, the monitor is really good. It’s fast and clear, with local dimming and HDR really making your games pop. It’s also great for console gamers, supporting 120hz, VRR, etc over HDMI, allowing the Xbox Series X and of course the PS5 to really shine. It also has some extra features for PS5s. I really like having both high refresh rates and 4K, it makes this a great display for just about any use case. Overall, this is a very capable display that is great for PC and console gamers. It has a few quirks that can be largely overcome and maybe future software updates will help handle SDR content on HDR better. For the price, it stands in a unique place in terms of features and performance, and should be considered by PC gamers and Console gamers alike.

    Hot garbage, don’t buy it

    Decided it was time to get new monitors for my 4090 build, luckily I only bought one first to try out. Plugged in and couldn’t read my PC. Will be returning this and back to my search for the best 4K gaming monitor.

      When you say that the PC couldn't read the monitor, do you mean a black screen, no picture, or intermittent picture when using your INZONE Gaming Monitor? If, please try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

      Use only high-speed cabling when connecting your devices
      USB Type C™ - Use Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbps) cable.
      HDMI® - Use Certified Ultra High-Speed (48 Gbps) cable.
      If the DisplayPort (DP) setting is version 1.4, change it to 1.2
      Use the Joystick on the rear of the monitor to navigate to Settings → DP version number → 1.2.
      Make sure the ECO mode is disabled
      Use the Joystick on the rear of the monitor to navigate to Settings → ECO mode → OFF.
      AC power cycle the monitor
      Power off the monitor.
      Unplug the AC cord.
      Wait one minute and then reconnect the AC cord.
      Power on the monitor.

    Don't waste your $$$

    Maybe I got a bad unit but would get gray washout after about 5 minutes and random loss of HDMI signal while playing games with my PS5 and Series X. There are a lot better options at this price range.

      If you set the Local dimming to Low or Off, this may cause the whole screen to look washed out. You may also try turning off Auto picture mode to resolve the issue.

      Make sure to also use a High Speed HDMI cable or the latest version of a display port cable. Sometimes cables are the easiest cause for concern and fix most issues.

      If you have multiple devices connected to the monitor, you can disable the auto input search to manually select a specific input. For more information, please refer to this link:

    LG C2 Tv Is Better

    Not even as good as the LG C2 43 inch tv after I returned this and got the tv

    Has input issues with recent NVIDIA drivers, issues with input scanning, issues with Display port 1.4, the list goes on, save your money for something else…
